62 Sham Marriage
"Hello, Jie-Jie."
"Hua'er ~ LanLan ~"
Wang Zhilan waves at her sisters.
"How're you doing, Ruo-jie?"
"Good, good..just busy preparing for in situ project. Have to collect many datas, so I need to make several field trips before the completion of my final year project next year."
"Sounds intriguing. Where you go?" Wang Hua asked.
"Nah! Some caves, some mangrove forest..animal rehabilitation centre.. Uggh~ sometimes, I do regret choosing this course..Goddd~~"
"Hahaha..hey, Lan-jie..why did I seldomly see you now?"
"I'm busy too, Hua'er..choosing the best choice for my internship next two months. Ughh..I'm stressed."
"Oh~ good luck, Jie-Jie..haha. If you want, I can bake some cookies for you."

"Alright, I'll send some for you by courier tomorrow afternoon, Ruo-jie."

Wang Hua shakes her head. Her sisters was always busy. She looks at LinLin whom laying on her stomach, reading a novel while listening to some music.
'Guess I'm alone, now.'
She glanced at her watch and saw it was past 5pm. She hurriedly changed her clothes and wore a sport shoes. She grabs her small headphones and make her way to the library.

"Hahaha..I thought you're already possessed by protagonist inside the novel."
LinLin sulked.
Wang Hua removed her shoes before she fetched a water bottle from the fridge.
"Ah~~ So blissful."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah..you're already slim. What are you jogged for?"
"It's not about body shape. I just like to keep myself fit. Right~ what do want for dinner tonight? Or should we just eat at the cafeteria?"
"At the cafe then. I'm too lazy to cook tonight. Besides, I'm craving for some fish and chips now."
"Alright then. Let me cool down first before I shower."
"No need to rush. We'll go by 7.30pm."

"Mom~ You're early today," a boy in his fifteen exclaimed.
An elegant woman looked like in her 30's strode in and smiled softly at the boy.
"Yes, did you eat?"
"No, mom. Brother said he'll come tonight. So I'm waiting for him. Let's eat together later, mom."
"Alright. Let's me take a shower first."
She pats the boy's head before she climbed on the stairs. She was startled when the study room at the end of the hallway opened. A middle-aged man come out and startled too when he saw her standing at the bedroom door.
"You're back," he said.
"Umm," she affirmed.
They looks at each other before the woman turns her head away.
"Let's eat together later. Jingren's coming."
"Yeah, I know," she indifferently answered before she enters the master bedroom.
She opens the adjoined door and enters her own bedroom, that she had been staying in for the last sixteen years. For the outside world, they're husband and wife. But, only they both knew the reality of their marriage.
They never got a marriage certificate, just organising a wedding celebration to show the world they're a couple. Not to mention consummate their marriage. It's a sham marriage. She never knew why he did what he did, but she doesn't care as everything is in her favour.
She snapped from her daze and quickly went to shower as it's already 7.00pm. By the time she went downstairs, it's already 7.30pm and she could hear her son laughters from the living room.
"Mom! Brother's here."
"Mother."
"Jingren. How're you doing? You looked much thinner."
"I'm good, mother. How do you do?"
"Nah! Pretty as always..hehe.."
She takes a seat beside her husband, Zhao Sheng and smiled slightly at him.
"So, how's your training and study?"
"It's tough but I can manage."
Zhao Jingren looks at his mother and sighed silently.
"Is there anything wrong?"
"Nothing, mother. I just missed you."
"Hahaha..I missed you too, son. Come, let's eat. We can converse later."
"Yeah..I'm starving. Brother, let's play some games later, okay?"
"Okay."

"Hey, hey..you guys is here too."
"Ughh..shoo, shoo.."
"Am I not your loyal puppy?"
"Bark first."
"Auff..auff.."
"Hahaha..you're hilarious. Here your treat," LinLin shove a chip at Micheal.
He crunched on it happily.
"I want to eat fish and chips too."
"Order then. This is mine. I won't share with you."
Micheal starts to walk towards the counter to make some order, but Jason held him back by his collar.
"I want a lamb chop with black pepper sauce. Pepsi."
"Get me a spaghetti with meatballs. Sprite."
"Fillet steak for me. Well cooked. Green apple juice."
"Hey, hey..get your own orders."
The others ignored him and sit down at the table beside the girls. Micheal sulked and begrudgingly strode off. They chuckled when they saw his funny walks.
"Poor him," Wang Hua commented.
"If I were him, I'll poisoned all your foods," LinLin quipped.
