25 Pregnant
Luna cried for a period of time before she ceased her tears. Her legs felt numb, as she did not know how long she had sat on the floor beside the bed. She shakily stood up and washed her face. When she looked up at the sink mirror, she saw her puffy eyes. Her lack of sleeps for the past few days was evident by the dark circles underneath them.
She patted her face several times.
"Wake up..wake up..wake up! Stay strong! You got this. You can overcome this hurdle. Come on..pull yourself together. You know fully well life was never easy. You had come this far..don't be weak because someone does not appreciate you and your efforts.."
She chided her own reflection.
'Come on, Luna!'
She went to the living room and found Lily had fallen asleep on the couch. She quickly picked her up and tucked her on the bed. She returned to the dining area and rechecked all the files and emails. After confirming everything is ready for tomorrow meetings, she arrange them in a tote bag and packed her things inside the backpack. She glanced at the wall clock. It's already 1am.
She went to bed and cuddled with her daughter.

Meanwhile in the District A Hospital.
Alex had regained his consciousness around 7pm. He felt painful in both of his legs and realized he had broken his legs and he wore a neck brace. A nurse who realized he had woken up paged the doctor.
The doctor rushed to his bed and asking how he felt. His overall condition had been checked and there was no other life-threathening injury. So the doctor asked him to moved his legs slowly and asking either he felt pain or not. Then the doctor test for his leg's sensation by poking around his legs and feet.
When the doctor confirmed everything was okay, he informed the nurse to booked the operation theather for tomorrow surgery as soon as possible. Then they went away. A while later, the same nurse came again to checked on the intravenous and administered some antibiotics and painkiller.
"H..hello. Can I have some water?" Alex asked her.
The nurse was startled before she said, "Ah, yes. Of course."
She poured him a glass of water and put a bend straw inside to facilitate him.
"Thank you. Umm..that..did a woman came for me?" "Yes, your sister had come after you was brought to the hospital by the ambulance. We told her about your and your wife conditions. Your wife had undergone a surgery to mend her broken arm. She then wheeled into the general ward on the fourth floor. I just informed your sister about your surgery tomorrow morning at 8am. She said she will come.
"By the way, you had a pretty little sister."
Alex just awkwardly smile as he did not know how to tell the nurse that Cindy is not his wife, but Luna, whom they thought as his little sister. Because he knew it will be awkward and embarrassing if they knew Cindy is his girlfriend and Luna is his wife. And he had involved in accident with Cindy by his side and Luna was then informed.
Talking about the accident, he sighed regretfully. If only he did not drive, then this incident will not be happen.
Today he went out for lunch with Cindy. On their way to the restaurant, Cindy asked him whether Luna agreed to divorce as he had told her the day before that he will talks to Luna about them. She called and texted him yesterday to asked, but he did not answered. So she probe again.
He was distressed as he did not know how to answered her. But Cindy was very adamant to know the answer. So, he told her he not yet spoke to Luna about the divorce. Cindy was angry and shouted at him, asking why.
"LUNA WAS PREGNANT! FOR FU*KING SAKE, DON'T SHOUT AT ME!" He roared.
Cindy gaped at him then started to hit him.
"You fu*king asshole! You said you love me and did not love her anymore. But you impregnant that bi*ch. You idiot!"
She hit him again and again.
"Stop it, woman. She is my legal wife and I had a need. Don't you dare called her 'that' again."
He snapped while trying to focused on his driving.
Cindy who was hysterical, shouted angrily.
"I seduced you to sleep with me but every time you declined and now you said you had a need. A fu*king need. I can satisfied your need too. Fu*king asshole!"
"I told you several times that I will never sleep with you, unless we're married. Right now, I still married to her. I don't want to commit an adultery. I still respect Luna and I respect you too. So mind your actions and words." He tried to tone down his anger.
But Cindy was indignant.
"You said YOU LOVE ME! And you promised to marry me as soon as possible. But now, when that bi*ch pregnant, you want to back out from your promise? Dream on. Where is your phone? Where is it? Let me call her and tell her I was pregnant with your child and you want to divorce her immediately. WHERE IS YOUR PHONE?!"
She groped his side pants pocket and try to snatched his phone but he resist.
"FOR FU*KING SAKE! I WAS DRIVING. WHAT ARE Y.." He roared while trying to pushed her hands off.
"BAMM!" "BAMM! "BAMM!"
The car crashed onto the road boulder at high speeds before it rolled over a few times in the middle of the road. He blinked his eyes several times to get a clear view but dark spots clouded his eyes and before long he lost his consciousness.
