6 New CEO

"Eeekk..I almost forgot my main purpose for calling you."

"What is it?" Luna asked.

"Tomorrow, our new CEO is being introduced. The vice-CEO said he will bring some of his friends too," Lisa said.

"But why did I never heard of this?" Luna frowned.

Eventhough she had resigned from Mu Corp three years ago, she was proposed to be one of the Board of Directors as she had contributed a lot of ideas to improved the company's revenue. Which she accepted. She is also a shareholder in the company albeit she owned only 1% share. She still came to the company some times too as she had collaborated in some mega projects as a Senior Engineer Executive.

She mainly working from home to balances her responsibilities as a mother. But she never heard the changes of the CEO. And what is he thinking about to bring his friends on his first day at work? Luna frowned more.

"Apparently, our current CEO Mu decided to has an early retirement and passes his position to his sole heir, our new CEO whom just came back from oversea. But he decided to be a chairman of the company. So, overall he still hold the important decisions in the company. Anyway have you see his son? I heard he is a handsome man," Lisa excitedly shared.

"Oh, I think they had issue a notice of Board of Directors meeting and shareholders meeting the day after tomorrow. Don't you get the notice?" Lisa asks her friend.

Then she heard a rustling sound as Luna opens her tablet and checking her email. After a while, she hears Luna mumbled, "Yes, I just received it few hours ago. Thank you for informing me. See you soon."

"Wait..wait..wait..there's more," Lisa exclaimed before Luna could disconnected the call.

"What?"

"So, you knew the new CEO will be coming tomorrow-"

"Then, what does it has to do with me?" Luna questioned.

"Let me finished first, you strong-headed woman."

Luna grunted in protest causing Lisa to cracked up.

"Alright..alright..here's the thing is. So our vice-CEO wants you to provide some refreshments for the new CEO and his friends. He will issues the payment later. Apparently, our vice-CEO acknowledged your expertise in cooking and baking. He sounded excited. He called you but you didn't answered so he called me instead," Lisa told her.

"I kept my business phone in silent during my meeting before. Umm..I need to give him a call first. I need some informations and confirmation. See you soon, Lisa."

Luna disconnected the call before she grabs her business phone and makes a call to the vice-CEO.

Her call is being picked on the first ring, as if the other person already waiting for her call.

"Hello, Luna."

An excited and slightly gruff voice entered her ear.

"Hello, Mr Liu. I heard about the new CEO and your demands from Lisa. I'm sorry, I were in a meeting when you called me," Luna explained.

Mr Liu said it is okay and just laughing it off.

"I know you're a very busy superwoman, Luna. No need to apologise. It's me who need to apologise for being late to inform you about tomorrow event. It's nothing grand, our new CEO just wants to show his friend his new office. It's not his first official day as a CEO. Can you do me the favor? He said he'll come at 4pm. So do you a time?" he thoughtfully asked.

Luna scrolled through her digital planner and skimmed her tomorrow schedule. She guess she can manage it then.

"Alright, I'll do it. So, does he has any allergy or anything that he can't consume? How about his friends?"

She heard rustling of papers before Mr Liu spoke, "No, nothing. He just said he want some cinnamon rolls, cream puffs, maybe some cookies. Else, you can decide for yourself. Also they all love coffee."

Luna was busy jotting everything down when she hears Mr Liu added, "Oh, look how old I am. I nearly miss a point. He wants some tiramisu cheesecake."

Luna's hand slightly shooked which left some pen marks on the paper. Some precious memories flashed through her mind when she thought about tiramisu cheesecake. It's her favourite, but she never baked it anymore since that year. It's his favourite too.

She lightly shakes her head to dismiss the memories. It's been a long time. There's no need to think about it again.

"You owed me one, old man." She jested.

Mr Liu laughed out loud until he coughed.

"Look at you, be careful of your health, old man. Your sweet wife waiting for you at home," she continued.

Luna was smiling when Mr Liu said, "Yeah, she can't live without me, her Romeo. Hahaha..."

"Yeah..yeah..has a good day, Mr Liu. Send my regards for your wife. Bye for now."

Luna still smiling while disconnected the call when she realised Lily already awoke from her nap.
