His Lies

The sun slowly descended on the sky while Luna was busy placing and receiving some calls regarding Alex's accident. The incident had received some attentions from the media press and being reported on the news and some media socials platform, as Alex company, Ming Enterprise are a fast rising company. So she need to make some statements and send them to the company PR team. She also schedule an emergency meeting with the shareholders and the Board of Directors tomorrow afternoon.

After the necessary measures had been taken, Luna slumped on the dining chair. She sighed before she checks her emails from Alex's PA. She skimmed through Alex's schedule for the upcoming month and noted all the important meetings and upcoming events of the company. Next, she skimmed her own schedule and trying to merged both. When she was done, she rubbed her face and took a deep breath. 'There're so many things to do, twenty-four hours a day seems not enough.'

When the sun set, Luna went to the kitchen to whisk some ingredients for dinner. After she was done, she went to the bedroom to wake Lily up. She bathed and changed her before she served the dinner. Before she could take a bite, the door bell's ringing.

She walked to the door and pushed the intercom buttons. She quickly opened the door when she saw Alex's PA on the intercom screen.

"Good day, Madam. These are the files that the CEO need to review and sign. I had sorted the files according to their urgency," he said while passing the files to Luna. Luna skimmed them for a while before thanked him. Alex's PA excused himself as he need to be at the company to handle the necessary things.

Luna closed the door and placed the folders aside before dig into her cold dinner. She worked on the folders one by one while accompanied Lily playing the 'test tube rainbow' set. She occasionally correct her daughter's wrong sequences. Then her phone ringing and Luna quickly answer when she saw the number was from the hospital.

"Miss Luna, we want to inform you that Mr Alex's surgery was scheduled tomorrow morning at 8am."

"Yes, thank you."

The call was disconnected.

The nurse sentence 'Miss Luna' remind her about Alex's accident. He was with the woman, in the car. Probably going to lunch somewhere. But something might happened in the car as she was informed by the police that Alex's incident was a self-accident. He lose control of his car and the car swerved towards the road construction's boulder.

She remembered the police said, "He received the most impact from the accident as he had shield his wife with his body. We had towed the car to the District A police station. If you're available, you may come to the station tomorrow to collect their things..."

'He really does loves her, doesn't he?' Luna mocked herself. The phrase 'his wife' mocking her and suffocating her.

'I am his legal wife, but many said she was his wife.' She really did not know why.

Then she remembered Alex's phone in her pouch. She stand up and strode into the master bedroom to get the phone. Something inside her scream and urge her to open and check his phone. So she did.

She opens the messenger app and read all their intimate conversations. How he called her 'baby' and how he said he missed her a lot even after meeting each other an hour ago. She took note of the starting date.

'Unbelievable! He seldomly replied my text and when he do, 'I'm busy'. Yeah..busy texting with other woman.'

'Liar!'

Next, she clicks on the gallery icon and plastered on the screen are their photos. She scrolled and saw some sexy videos of the woman that she had sent to him.

'Shameless woman.'

Again, she took note of the date of their photos and videos.

'Liar! Liar!'

Then, she checks the call logs of his phone. They had called each other everyday for the last year. But, a year and half after their marriage, he never calls her unless there was something important. It was always her that inquired about his day. How ridiculous.

She also checks the video-call logs and took note of the date too. She compared some with her logs. What she found made her tears dropped rapidly.

'Liar! Liar! Liar!'

'You video-called me for just ten minutes and said you had something urgent to do. Turned out the so-called 'urgent thing' was video-calling her, for almost two hours..at midnight.'

During their 'discussion' that day, when she asked him how they met and when, he told her they met seven months ago. Initially, the woman asked him if there is a vacancy in his company because she urgently needed a job and he gave her a job as a clerk in the HR department. Eventually, they became close and he fell in love with her. But the call logs, video-call logs, messages, photos and videos showed her the opposite. They had been going behind her back a year ago! She felt cheated.

She gave him a chance to be honest with her..but he lied in front of her face. She thought if the timeline was only seven months, she believed she can convinced him to break off their relationship.

'I'm really delusional.'
