An Engaged Man

"WHAT?!?!"

"I don't know the whole story, but Hua'er sent me an email, saying she wants to get a divorce because Alex's cheating on her. But she seems hesitant because she is pregnant. So she asked for my opinion..- "

"..Alex's cheating on her? Cheating?! How dare that bastard..after all the things that Hua'er did for him. I'll kill him! Wait..wait..why don't I receive any email about this? You just told me about your pregnancy, Hua'er."

"I don't want you to worry, Ruo-jie," Luna said after a while.

"Nah! She sugar-coated her words. It's because you're too hot-headed and impulsive, RuoRuo. Who knows what will you do once you received the news. I bet you'll fly off to Hua'er place and burn Alex's car. Curb your temper, you're pregnant, RuoRuo."

Zhiruo sighed. She admits, she will do the worse to avenge her baby girl.

"So tell me, what exactly happened. I want to know EVERYTHING, Hua'er."

Luna sighed and started to narrated everything about her encounters with the couple, their 'discussion', the accident and so on.

The twin are shocked speechless.

"I give him some chance to amend his mistakes, but now I don't even know if I'm willing to live our whole life together with the memories of his cheating. And..and..and...I found..found.."

Luna's sobbed. The feeling of betrayals are too much, coupled with her pregnancy hormones changing, she felt really, really tired.

"What did you found, baby girl? Tell me..tell me please. I need to know everything so I can give you my opinions," Zhilan gently asked.

It took Luna some times before she could calm herself down. She told them about her discoveries after Alex's incident.

Zhilan and Zhiruo gaped and anger was evident in their eyes when Luna finish explaining.

"So tell me, Jie-Jie, what shall I do?"

Luna came back home only after 9pm. She and Lily ordered their meals from 'Glory Delights' and relaxing for a while to sort her emotions before they drive back home.

Alex scampers to the front door when he hears Luna's car on the driveway. Luna who is intended to key-in the password was shocked when the door suddenly opened, revealing the anxious face of Alex.

"Where have you been the whole day? It's already 9pm. Do you know how worried I am when you didn't text me? Answer me for God's sake. I've waited for you the whole day, sitting like a statue. Where did you go? Whom did you meet?" Alex shakes Luna's arm, desperately asking for her answer.

"Let me go, Alex. It's hurt."

"Answer me! I'm your husband, for fu*k sake."

Luna wring her hand from Alex's grip.

"I'm tired, Alex. Let me sleep. Come, baby."

Luna steps forward but Alex grabs her shoulder.

"I asked you questions and I want some answers, Luna."

"I told you before I had some jobs to do. Let me go," Luna raises her voice.

She pushed his hand and strode towards the bedroom. Alex freeze and looks at his hand in disbelief. Luna never raise her voice at him before, not even once. And she just pushed his hand away roughly.

Alex rubs his face in frustration.

'What the hell did I do? She only came back late today and its just 9pm but he had insinuating she cheated on him. Him, the one who had cheated on her and seldomly came home early. But she never pry for anything.'

He closes the door and dejectedly walks to the couch.

Li Corporation. 3pm.

Danial and Calvin strode into the lobby while discussing about something. His employees quickly greet them and scrambled to the side. They watch as both of them enter the VIP elevator before the door close and the lift ascending. An uproar occured in the lobby.

"Hey hey hey..is it just me or did the CEO has a pink bubbles vibe surrounded him?"

"I feel it too. This morning he had a dark and gloomy aura. I heard, during the meeting, he almost fires everyone. Tsk."

"True..there's seems to be a smile on his stoic face."

"There's must be something had happened that made him happy. Just what could it be?"

"Probably a woman..his girlfriend?"

"Nah! I heard from one of the shareholder that he is engaged but his fiancee is in City P."

"Is that true? *sigh* How regretful."

"But Sir Calvin is still single."

"Really, really?"

Meanwhile, after Calvin went out on the floor where his office was situated, the lift continue to ascend until the top floor. Danial walks into his office with his poker face on. But if people sees clearly, there's a bounce in his footsteps.

Danial enters his office before a huge grin broke on his face once the door closed. He skips and jumps giddily when he recalled back their situation in Micheal's office.

"Ah..! She's so adorable."

When he remembered her shocked face when he wipes her face, he smiled broadly. He try to remember back her eyes, her nose and her mouth..

'Right..her plump lips..she has a kissable lips.'

Then, his 'best friend' down there automatically salute him. He looks at his tent and a silly smile blossoms on his face.

'Ah..! Hua'er..Hua'er..'

"Ping."

He takes out his phone and unlocked the screen. He clicks on the message.

'Hi! How're you Dan? Missing you so much. -Bella'

He toss the phone on the table and rubs his face. He forgot he is an engaged man. Luna's flushed face pops out in his mind.

'Right...she is someone's wife. Although she seems to has a crisis with her husband, they're still married.'

He rubs his face frustratedly. These realisations have dampened his desire.

'Yes..he desires her..since the first time he saw her. Now, she is married, he still felt the same desires towards her, maybe it's increased tenfold, if that's possible. He never felt any desire towards other women, eventhough his friends said they're more beautiful than her. For him, she is the most gorgeous woman in the whole world. He desires for her face, her body, her heart, her soul and her love. He desires her whole self. It's already integrated in his bones, blood and heart.'

'But now, his dreams to be together with her seems bleak.'
