39 Chapter Thirty_Nine: Welcome

Soft.

Peace.

Those were the two words to describe what she felt her body rested on and the sound around her. She hadn't opened up her eyes yet as she was enjoying the bed and its comfort. Her body had barely gotten enough rest in forever and the trance she was in, was enough to allure her to sleep more and enough the living and its duties.

She wanted to bask in this before she returned to the normal living routine and went to check on her mother in the hospital. Before she would have to pack up and leave for the dance company again before they toured and performed live. Before James would wake her up and try to help him hunt for a new meal to devour in a club.

Nope, she wanted to bask in this sleep and this mattress that was just such a perfection to her. She took in a deep breath and took a whiff of the air, smelling a strong cologne with a tinge of vanilla. What an odd smell, she had never smelled cologne like this one before,

Had James bought a new cologne? Wait no James loved his one cologne and he was way too stubborn to change it. Harry's? no no, she had smelled him before this wasn't his type also, and nor was she friends with many people. She smelled like vanilla that way her fragrance but she didn't know anyone with this type of fragrance.

Snapping her eyes open, she pulled away and rolled onto the ground, slightly hitting her head against the table close by, groaning she slowly pushed herself to the side and tried to adjust her eyes to the light that was slowly streaming into the room. She wondered how she hadn't noticed that the sun rays would have been the instant key to waking her up but it seemed as though the light in the room that she was in wasn't as strong.

Where on earth was she? She couldn't piece together what had happened and her brain seemed frizzled as though tampered with and she didn't know what to assume or think of. She felt petrified and wanted to cry out. She wondered where James was and why she felt as though she was far away from home.

Did she have a fling with someone after getting way too drunk and end up at their place?

Nope, not possible, she never did that.

Anxiety would soon settle in if she didn't get any answers, so in an attempt to comfort herself, she slowly stood up, balancing on the table as she felt slightly weak. She walked towards the window and caught sight of nothing but trees but the more she stared the more everything started glitching. As though the tree were just illusions and hallucinations, so she focused on it but then she heard a door open.

Frantically turning around, she watched a woman step in, dressed in a red outfit. She carried two cloaks with her and something covered. Aria did you enter into a damn cult! Aria!

"Madam, My name is Marie, I am your assigned high maid" the woman said kindly, giving her a small smile but here's the thing, she never spoke with her mouth, she heard the words in her mind.

"I'm going crazy", Aria whispered to herself and headed straight for the door, "I need to get out of here,"

"Madam, you are in your nightgown, you cannot step out there!" she heard but still these words barely touched her heart, everything was said to her mentally and she felt sick.

Was she in a mental ward or something? Where was James? Where was her mother? Where was the bloody fish mouth called Harry, she would even be happy to see him than this, she wanted a familiar face more than anything but she couldn't see any and it petrified her more and more.

She heard the shouts for her to stop as she hurriedly ran, trying to find a way out and as soon as she found the door leading outside, she tripped and fell onto her knees. The tree disappeared and the only thing she saw was a long line far ahead of people standing in a line, in-house guards dressed in black moving back and forth, as though controlling everything.

The ground looked paved with black rocks and she wondered how she hadn't felt pain or even cut herself. There were no trees or grass or even flowers, everything here seemed dark and undesirable. Everything reflected pain and darkness.

As though she had entered into hell.

Had she been successful in killing herself?

"Madam!" came that voice in her head, she turned to find the maid hurrying towards her with a cloak and covering her body. She seemed terrified and pulled at Aria to get her back into the place as soon as she closed the door, everything had light again.

Aria couldn't believe she had seen, was that hell?

"Where am I? What was that? Why am I here?" she demanded, feeling her anxiety begin to grow out of control.

"Madam, that was the abyss, the doorway to the underworld." The maid said and that was enough to make her blackout.
