It was already late at night and some of the people inside the house finally decided to rest beside Sabrina, Alexander and Javier who went to the police station to accompany his mother.

Sitting beside each other in the garden bench, Sabrina rested her head on Alexander's shoulder while enjoying the view of the starry night.

"Are you alright?" Alexander asked Sabrina.

"Honestly, no," Sabrina answered, "My mind is in a big mess right now," she said.

"You know you can talk to me right?" Alexander told her, "I'm here to listen," he said.

Sabrina heaved a heavy sigh, "I don't know, I feel like I'm completely lost," she said, "I never expected that my family is so messed up like this. I know that we had problems and all, but I have never expected it to be this big," Sabrina wrapped her arms around Alexander's waist and moved closer to him, burying her head in his neck.

Alexander wrapped his arm on Sabrina's shoulder, "I don't know the right words to use to comfort you right now. I can't say that it's okay because I know that it isn't," he said, "But just know that no matter what happens, family is still family. Whether you like it or not, they will always be your family. By blood and by soul, you can never get rid of them," Alexander said.

"Do you miss your family sometimes?" Sabrina suddenly asked, "I mean, I know how messed up is your family too and how you hate them, but is there still a part of you that longs for them?" she asked.

Alexander looked very far away for a moment before he answered Sabrina, "I actually don't know," he answered.

"What do you mean?" Sabrina asked.

"Although my relationship with my family isn't great, a part of me still misses them," Alexander said, "But then, when I remember how they all turned a blind eye to my mother's death, I just can't help it but feel hatred for them."

Sabrina tightened her arms around Alexander's waist, "Do you see yourself forgiving them one day? After all, they are still your family," she said.

"I can always love and hate them at the same time," Alexander answered, "But for now hatred is weighing heavier than love, I don't know when I'll be able to forgive them, but it doesn't mean that I don't care about them," he said.

Sabrina looked up to Alexander with a smile plastered on her face.

"What?" Alexander asked her.

"Nothing," Sabrina replied, "I'm just happy to see this side of you," she said.

Alexander raised his brow on her, "What side?" he asked.

"This," Sabrina answered, "To most people, you're one cold, bossy, and self-centered person, but with me, you seem different. You're very warm, open and true," she said, "I want to be the only person who sees you like this."

Alexander smiled, "Selfish," he teased her. Alexander placed a chaste kiss on Sabrina's lips and looked at her in the eye, "Don't worry, I'm only like this when I'm with you," he said which made Sabrina smile.

Sabrina snuggled herself back to Alexander's chest and smiled, "Thank you for fixing the problems of my family," she suddenly said, "As a member of the family, I feel embarrassed for not being able to do anything. I want to thank you because I feel like if you weren't there, things would've turned out differently," she said.

Alexander patted her in the head, "We're a family now remember? All of your problems are my problems now," he said, "If you are having a hard time, I want to be the first person to know okay?"

Sabrina nodded.

She felt relieved.

Right at this moment, she knew, she made the right choice.

Alexander never failed to be there for her when she needed him the most. It was like he was her own personal superman, personal batman, her personal superhero who appears right on time when she needed help.

But she somehow felt guilty too.

She can't always rely on Alexander.

Sabrina felt like it would be unfair for him.

"I want to be the first person to know too if you're having a hard time, okay?" Sabrina said, "Although I know that you are very capable and you probably can solve your own problems, I want you to rely on me too. I might not look like it, but I'm very strong you know?" she said which made Alexander chuckle.

"Yes, you are," Alexander agreed with her. He placed his hand on Sabrina's head and caressed it gently, "I don't need you to do much for me, I just need you to hold and protect my heart," he said.

Sabrina knew how fragile Alexander can be.

He was one broken man who was finally able to build himself back again.

Sabrina can never imagine what will happen to Alexander if he experiences another heart-breaking moment in his life, she has to protect him.

"I will protect it with my life," she smiled at him.

"Speaking of family, how many kids do you want to have?" Alexander suddenly asked which made Sabrina blush.

"We're not yet even married and you're talking about kids immediately?" she asked him.

Alexander shrugged, "Well, it's better you tell me now or we might end up having one volleyball and one basketball team," he said which made Sabrina choke.

She pulled away from him and punched him in the chest, "You're corrupted do you know that!" she accused him

"How am I being corrupted?" Alexander chuckled, "I was stating a fact," he said.

Alexander moved closer to her ear, "I might end up losing control everytime, so it's best you tell me now," he whispered in her ear sexily.

Sabrina instantly moved away from Alexander and covered her body using her arms, "I'm not marrying you then!" she yelled at him, "My poor body," she whined.

Alexander's chuckle became louder, "You know, you're being really cute right now," he said, "And you should know that it's dangerous."

Sabrina glared at him, "Why? What are you going to do huh?" she asked him in a provoking manner.

Provoked, Alexander pulled Sabrina close to him and held her face, "This," he said before touching his lips onto hers.

With the kiss, Alexander knew that he can never and will never get enough of Sabrina.

She was like ecstasy to him, totally addicting.

Nothing in this world has ever made Alexander feel this way. Internally, he actually felt a bit afraid that he really might not able to control himself.

Sabrina was just too irresistable.

Pulling away from each other, both of them smiled.

"I love you," Alexander told her.

"I love you more," Sabrina answered.

Although tonight was a very rough night, being like this with Alexander lightened up Sabrina's mood. He never failed to make her smile with his words and actions.

She felt safe and loved.

What more could she ask for?

"Oh right, I talked to Director Julian earlier. He told me that your shoot tomorrow will be postponed," Alexander said.

"Postponed? Why?" Sabrina asked.

"Tomorrow will be the announcement day for you and Director Julian," Alexander answered.

"Oh right!" Sabrina exclaimed, "I almost forgot about that," she said.

"Are you ready?" Alexander asked.

Sabrina sighed, "I'm actually not," she answered him, "But this was eventually going to happen sooner or later. I'm just not prepared. If it weren't for that scandal, we wouldn't have to do this earlier than planned," she complained.

"Don't worry, everything's going to be fine," Alexander assured her.

"Ugh! I hate this!" Sabrina exclaimed, "Whoever did this, I'm going to pull her hair one by one!" Sabrina spoke in frustration.

She was living quietly and some bored person suddenly decided to create a scandal between her and her own Uncle.

What a busybody!

"But I really feel like it's Valerie, I'm sure of it," Sabrina sounded annoyed.

Alexander just chuckled at her. He really finds it adorable when Sabrina is venting her frustrations out.

"We should head inside now, tomorrow will be another day," Alexander told her.

Sabrina nodded.

Both of them headed inside the house after. Alexander tucked Sabrina in and watched her fall asleep.

Making sure that she was already sound asleep, Alexander stepped out of the bedroom to make a call.

"Yo! I already have the video you requested boss!" the man from the other line said.

"Good," Alexander said, "Keep it for the meantime, wait for my go signal tomorrow," he said then ended the call.

If this was how Valerie wanted to play, he was willing to play along.

But of course, he doesn't plan to lose.

Losing was never in Alexander's vocabulary.

It was time to see who's who.
