17 Chapter Seventeen

Anger had her body shaking, she sat hugging her kneels to help ease the shaking. Eyes unfocused and clouded with angry tears, she tried hard to come to terms with what she saw during the day and the thoughts that kept swirling in her head.

She couldn't believe how foolish and stupid she was.  Foolish, for falling for him so easily that she felt a bit cheap to begin with and stupid, for missing the several hints he dropped here and there and for not asking anything important about him.

'Indeed, his not so little village,' she thought bitterly, remembering the way he described the village two days ago. She doubt if he had ever loved her as he had declared to her time without number.
