3 Reasons.

"Go away, you freak."

"Yeah, you are a monster. Go away."

Three boys between 5 to 6 years of age stood in front of a little boy, who was weeping on the ground, calling him a monster. They were playing a while ago when suddenly the little boy fell, scraping his knees. The three boys gathered around him trying to console him as he cried in pain.

A few moments later, the wounds healed. The little boy stopped crying but his so-called friends were now pointing fingers at him. He cried once again, his sadness turned into helplessness. He kept asking them, "Why do you call me a monster? Tell me Eugene. Why am I a monster?"

Eugene was a boy he had the closest bond with, he replied, "Because your blood is blue, you monster!" and then he ran away from him. The other two kids followed Eugene, leaving the little boy alone on the ground.

The boy ran back to his home near the edge of the village. His mother was waiting for him with a smile. He threw himself in her arms as he bawled. He said, "Eugene... said that I am a monster because I have blue blood."

His mother froze for a second. She asked, "Did you get hurt with them around?"

She went pale when the little boy told her what happened. Lifting him in her arms, she ran out of the house. Not even bothering to take anything from inside. Soon they were outside the village. Behind it was a hill covered with lush flora. After climbing up the hill, their house became visible from a distance.

Something was different about the scene today. The little boy said, "Mum, why did everyone gather around our house? Why are they setting it on fire?"

His mother spoke in a soft voice, "Nothing baby, remember how you told me about feeling cold?"

The little boy replied, "Yes."

His mother smiled at him as she said, "They are trying to remove the coldness in the house."

"Really?" asked the little boy. The lady nodded to him as she continued to carry him in her arms while gently wiping off a tear that was about to fall from her eyes.

...

Suddenly a phone call woke Bones up from his trance. The little boy was him, while the lady was his mother. That was the day when he found out about his blue blood.

Steam covered the glass partition as the warm water poured over his body. A glint of emotion flashed in his usual cold eyes then returned to his frigid gaze. He blinked his eye, closed the tap, and walked out of the shower in his baby suit.

His sculpted body would have made a lot of girls go crazy. Unfortunately, he never let a woman near him, and those who did, well, they all became a pile of ashes. He picked up the phone placed on the cupboard in the towel room.

"Hello," he spoke in a cold voice.

"The Tribunal demands your presence." A monotonous voice resounded from the other side.

Bones asked, "When?"

"Tonight." Then after dropping the word, the call dropped.

Bones put down the phone, dressed in black denim and a black shirt, paired with a leather jacket. His shoulder-length hair was tied into a low bun. Glancing at himself in the mirror, he gave himself a nod of approval. He left the house again. This time he did not walk but picked up one of the many bikes parked in the underground parking.

Turning the throttle, the motorbike galloped on the roads of the city. He was headed to the biggest church of Justice. Unlike the church of God, this church followed the spirit of justice. (Omitted 500 words of info dump.)

In short, this church was an establishment led by Vampires. Every city had one of these established there. Of course, normal people went here as well but, they did not know about the vampires.

It took Bones only twenty minutes to reach the place. He parked his bike and went to the entrance holding his helmet. There stood a man wearing a black suit and hands covered with black leather gloves. These gloves had a crimson rose engraved on them.

This man was Oleksiy Vlad- the head of the Vlad household. He was here because the tribunal called him too. He turned to look at Bones and snorted in disgust while Bones acted nonchalantly as if he did not see Vlad.

The door of the church opened. A clergy wearing a red and blue habit came out. He spoke with a smile on his face, "Welcome, the two of you. Come, the tribunal awaits you."

The two people followed inside, they were led to the altar and the clergy gestured them as he said, "The stairway in behind the altar, please advance."

Bones took the lead and started walking even before the clergy finished his sentence. Just like what the clergy said, behind the altar an underground staircase appeared. Bones headed down with no emotion in his eyes. Mr. Vlad also followed him. After five minutes, they both came to a wide hall. In the middle of the hall, three men sat on mahogany chairs.

These men looked like they were just in their late 40's. In actuality, their age was at least a couple of centuries. They were the tribunal.

Oleksiy Vlad walked past Bones and bowed to the three men. The Young man simply nodded to the tribunal as he asked, "The reason why I am called here is?"

Instead of replying, one of the three old men asked, "Bones Smith, did you kill Liya Vlad?"

Bones asked, "Do you mean the one in that pub?" His words confirmed the suspicion.

Oleksiy Vlad spoke, "Elders, I want him to be dead in return." His voice exhibited dominance.

The elder in the middle snorted, he asked Bones, "Why did you kill her?"

Bones replied, "Two reasons, first she had a smell of human blood on her. She must have drunk blood directly from a human, which is prohibited by the Tribunal."

The three men nodded and gestured him to continue speaking. Glancing at Oleksiy Vlad, the young man said, "Although I am one myself, I hate vampires, Your honor."

Vlad gave him a cold glare and said, "I will kill you."

Bones smiled, "You can try."

The third elder spoke in a hoarse voice, "Oleksiy Vlad, do I need to remind you that you stand in front of the tribunal of justice? Do you treat us like air? Should I remind you that none of the Vampire Clans are higher than the tribunal? If you think otherwise, then I will have the every Vampire Clan retaliate against you." His words were enough to describe the amount of power the tribunal held.

Oleksiy Vlad calmed down and said, "I have one request, I wonder if the tribunal will allow it?"

The one in the middle asked, "What is it?"

Oleksiy Vlad spoke in a cold tone, "The Vlad Family would like this half breed to inform us first if any one of our people violates the rules set by the tribunal. The family will deal with them."

The elders glanced at Bones, who scoffed as he said, "I am Bones, the hunter. Not the watchdog of the Vlads. If I am wrong then Tribunal can punish me. But don't expect me to do their bidding. Also, Vlad, you may not want to throw your weight around too much. Do you understand?" His voice turned colder by every word he spoke, his eyes unlike other vampires turned ice blue.

If not for the Tribunal, his aura was enough to suppress Oliksey Vlad. Bones, a half-breed vampire, his mother was a human while his father, the Progenitor. One of the oldest pureblood vampires, who surfaces once every hundred years. He was the reason Bones hates pureblood vampires.

His kind was hated by almost all the Vampire families. They see half-breeds as mutations. A malignant tumor of their race that can contaminate them. The reason for such disdain? Half-breeds don't have any weaknesses except for their thirst for blood. This thing had been solved by the tribunal because if they let him be harmed, then the progenitor's wrath will befall them.

...

In the end, the tribunal ruled neutrally. Liya violated the rules they set. Bones dealt with her and thus earned credit from the Tribunal. Oleksiy Vlad was told to clean his household before pointing fingers. If he takes action against Bones, the tribunal will raze his castle to the rubble.

Sitting in his car as he headed home, Oleksiy Vlad had his teeth gritted down. He could only see Bones smirking face in his mind, nothing else. He hated that half-breed. Dripping with rage he entered the house in the middle of the night.

He yelled, "DRAC VLAD, COME HERE, NOW." His voice shook the whole castle. Vampires were nocturnes so everyone in the house rushed toward the main hall. Victoria also came wearing a graceful nightdress.

Oleksiy Vlad cared about her ever since she was born. She was the apple of his eye. The feeling was mutual. Seeing her father angry at her half-brother. She came to his side, held his hand, and asked in a soft voice, "Father, what happened?"

Oleksiy Vlad spoke through his gritted teeth, "Liya was consuming human blood. Drac must have known yet he did not tell me. I was made a fool in front of the Tribunal. That Half-breed dared to threaten me." He blamed his half-son for this incident.

Seeing that Drac did not come he spoke, "GO, DRAG THAT BASTARD BACK HERE." It seemed that his son was outside having fun.
