18 Face-Off.

Victoria put aside the matters of her house aside for the time being. She stood up from her chair, picked up the card Bones left for her, and put it in her bag. With her head held high she walked out of the cabin.

Gloria sighed as she gazed at her disappearing figure, then busied herself with work. She always wondered how the boss handled and get her way with almost everyone. Well, she would never know.

Victoria walked out of the office and sat down in the back seat of her car. She spoke, "Imperfecto, a club in the southern extension." Then she fell silent for the ride.

A black SUV followed her vehicle like usual, but today it was driving closer. She still did not feel safe. Victoria took out her mobile phone and surfed on the internet, randomly reading gossip and screen shopping. After half an hour, the vehicle came to a stop. Victoria gazed outside the window and saw bright neon light hoarding above the entrance saying IMPERFECTO.

She got out of the car, glanced at the car carrying her guards. They stopped at a distance, merged with the crowd. The blood princess sniffed the air lightly and frowned. Alcohol was very pungent to her enhanced sense of smell. She controlled her disgust and walked to the entrance of the pub. The bouncer at the doors glanced at her and was awestruck.

Victoria spoke in a cold voice, "I am a guest of Alphonso Carter, are you sure you want to keep on gazing at me?"

The bouncer woke up. Alphonso was known for his cruelty in the circle. The warning woke up the bouncer. He bowed down and said, "I apologize for my disrespect. Please head in, the boss is waiting for you." his voice was a mix of fear and apology, but the fear originated when he thought about Alphonso Carter.

Victoria completely read this man's facial expressions. Then she walked in. Fully aware of the horror of Mr. Carter. At least for these people. She stepped in and what greeted her was flashing laser lights and loud music. Victoria adjusted again. She adjusted herself and calmly walked over to the staircase to the first floor.

On the first floor, a woman asked her, "Miss, how may I help you?" this hostess can be considered as a receptionist in offices.

Victoria said, "Alphonso Carter, invited me." her voice was indifferent.

The attendant woman shivered a bit at this name and then led Victoria over to the cabin where Alphonso Carter was having drinks with his friends.

...

At this moment, two girls with revealing clothes were presenting an erotic dance while Alphonso was busy fondling a beauty in his arms. The whole cabin was nothing like how a formal event should look like.

There was another male inside the cabin. He sat with a girl at his side but the two had an indifferent gaze. This man had long locks, like Bones. His eyes were also deep black, but instead of charm and coldness, they were filled with deceit and slyness. His face was as if a chiseled sculpture. This man was like a fox and a viper mixed up together.

The girl wore a formal suit. She had long black hair with a silver glint to them, deep black eyes brimming with curiosity. As for her beauty? unexplainable. She whispered to the man next to her, "Sable, when will she arrive? Also, are you sure to do this?"

Sable smirked. He said, "She will do it for me. You just watch. I will make her go down on her knees and have her serve me. Hahaha, I have something she needs the most. Even having her kill Oleksiy Vlad is not a big deal." his voice was deep.

The girl raised her eyebrow. She did not know what this guy had on Victoria Vlad that could make her kill people. Yet she knew better, so she reined in her curiosity. A gleam of light flashed in her eyes, and she lazily stood up from her seat. She said, "I am going outside, it is boring to wait in here."

The man nodded as he gazed at her fleeting back. He mumbled, "To think you were the Alpha of the clan, Sarina. But no worries, tonight I will have you choose me as your beta." he smiled cunningly.

These two people were not human, neither were they Vampires. These two were from a clan of beast men, commonly called the Werewolves. The two species would often engage in collaborative cooperations, but the undercurrents were always present. Everybody was trying to advance, regardless of the price. They would all fight with each other in the shadows but dared not draw swords in the open.

It was said that the progenitors of both clans originated from the same source, they both worshipped the same goddess, Artemis, and thus were related. The progenitors of the clans found their people becoming aggressive, so they founded the Tribunal of Justice. Every church of justice looked after five Vampires, three of them were elders who dealt with the affairs of the vampire clan.

Similarly, five werewolf elders were also living inside the church to handle the Werewolf's affairs. Marvel city was dominated by vampires and had a scarce population of Werewolves. The latter liked to live with their own people, the innate nature of the wolves hunting in a pack.

Just a few seconds after Sarina left, the cabin door was pushed open. Victoria walked inside under the lead of the attendant lady. Her cold gaze swiped across the cabin and she spoke with an indifferent face, "Waste of time."

She would never stay in a place like this and turned around. Suddenly a creepy peal of laughter echoed in the cabin, "Aww so the blood princess is a baby." the speaker was Sable.

These words were an insult to Victoria. How would a prideful Pure Blood take this thing on? She turned around and said, "Oh, I know it smelled like a mutt. Why is this puppy alone out here? Should I have my people escort you back to the daycare?"

Her words did not get the proper enraged expression she wanted from Sable, but they were enough to make a bulged vein appear on his forehead. Victoria had a satisfied smirk on her face.
