19 You ought to look your best...

But she realized it wasn't a dream when she felt Nathan's arm around her waist. Her back pressed hard against his chest, and their legs intertwined under the sheets. It wasn't a dream. They made love last night and her cheeks heated up as she evoked the sweet memories.

She could feel his arm draw her closer, it made her heartbeat skip.

"Babe? Are you awake?" Jane asked in a low voice. "Yes, I'm just recalling how beautiful last night was," he said giving her a peck on her cheeks.

"Good morning my love," Nathan greeted her with a smile on his face.

She turned around to kiss him back on his lips. "Good morning Babe," she said blushing.

She stared into his brown eyes, raking his thick brown hair with her nails. He looked at her and let out a soft chuckle. "I love you, Jane," he said. She blushed even more and laid her head on his chest. She could hear the beat of his heart, it was fast. Nathan placed his hand on her back rubbing her gently. She felt safe and protected in his arms, she would love to stay in that position all day.

"I enjoy sleeping by your side," Nathan said stroking her hair gently. She listened to him, she lifted her gaze, smiling, running her fingers down his neck, his jaw, his beards admiring him. Craving to touch him more and kiss him more.

"Where would you like us to go today?" Nathan asked. She had a confused look on her face. He noticed it and decided to give her suggestions.

"A park? A museum? The cinema? Or would you like a short stroll?"

"Umh...A park," she said smiling after thinking for a while.

"Alright then, let's prepare to go out."

They got up from the bed and went into the bathroom for a shower, ate breakfast, then went out to the park in his car.

"Hi Ash, good morning." She greeted her on the phone.

"I'm good, and you?" Ashley asked in return.

"I'm doing well, thank God for a new day," Ashley said.

"Do you remember our last discussion about me going to a record label company,"?

"Emmm. Yes?" Ashley said eagerly.

"Have you signed the contract?" she asked almost half yelling through the phone in excitement.

"Calm down girl! Calm down," Ella said giggling. "No, I haven't signed yet, then she narrated her experience at the studio and what the CEO had told her."

Ashley was pacing around her bakery shop while on the call, she was doing her usual morning inspection. But she eventually went to her office to seat and concentrate on the call. After listening to Ella narrate what happened that day.

"What! How can?" Ashley yelled.

"So, you'll be resuming working in two days as a messenger?" Ashley asked, confusion written all over her face. "That's ridiculous of him," she said cussing. "What's even wrong with the guy? Who does that?"

"Well, that's the same way I felt, but since he said it's for two weeks. I guess it's good I give it a try instead of backing out after coming this close." Ella said. "Yeah, you've got a point there," Ashley replied.

"I'll be going to a salon to do my hair and fix my nails today," Ella said. "Oh that's a good start, you ought to look your best on your first day of work you know," Ella said teasingly.

"Dan and I would be going out tonight," "Alright, have fun," Ella said ending the call.

Ella sat in the living room to make the call, she was watching a movie on TV before she called her friend. After the call, she walked to her room. She needed to go to the salon that morning.

She prepared to go out. She took her bath and wore a ripped boyfriend Jean and tucked-in a white polo in it. And white Adidas sneakers. She looked very casual but confident, happy and her blonde skin was glowing.

She alighted from a taxi that stopped in front of a shop that said K & K hair salon. She walked right to the door and pushed it opened.

The customers were not so much today but all the workers were occupied, doing one thing or the other.

It was a medium-size salon shop, it was her regular salon, the workers knew her there.

It was a salon and they sold hair treatment. Hair creams were arranged on one side of a big shelf. On another shelf, already made wigs were placed on mannequin heads, different colors, and varieties of wigs styles. On another shelf, cosmetics were neatly arranged. The remaining part of the shop had salon chairs in different areas in the salon and mirrors. There were standing hairdryers and the salon was beautiful, clean, and neatly arranged.
