1 The Death

Clinton Hospital 12 am

Athena clings to her father's hand, crying and praying he'll pull through.

"Father please don't go, I love you. I promise, I'll be good, I'll do better. Please." Athena sobbed.

"Sebastian will take care of you from now on my dearest, be good for him."

"Father, no please I don't want him to take care of me, just keep breathing please."

Athena's father, Kyle Handson, breathes deeply and then stops.

Athena sobs,"Father no, please father come back to me."

Sebastian begins to pull Athena away. Athena yanks away, grabbing at her father.

"DON'T TOUCH ME YOU BASTARD, THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT, YOU CUT HIS BRAKES DIDN'T YOU?!" Athena yelps.

"I did no such thing, now stop acting like a child and let's go home, there's nothing you can do for him now" Sebastian replies calmly. Grabbing Athena and pulling her away.

"I HATE YOU, YOU'VE PLANNED THIS SINCE THE DAY MY FATHER GRACIOUSLY LET YOU INTO OUR HOME, YOU SON OF A BITCH. I'LL MAKE YOU PAY." Athena yells biting and kicking Sebastian trying to break free.

"You're a fool, if you believe that to be true. I loved your father as much as you. It pains me to see him gone too. But we cannot dwell on the past forever. He's been in that bed for 2 weeks getting weaker and weaker. You knew this would come. You are lucky to have spent the time with him you have. Let's go, Athena. It's time, stop biting me", Sebastian says. Sebastian stops walking, waiting for her to stop struggling and biting at his fingers.

"Let me go, I can walk on my own. I don't need you. Chandler, get the car. Let's go." Athena says, straightening herself and wiping her tears away.

"I've already got my car ready. Ride with me. Chandler gather the paperwork and bring it to my study. I'll begin plans for the funeral." Sebastian says, pulling the front of his suit down, wiping away dirt.

"I can assure you, you won't be the one handling his funeral." Athena says, walking away.

They drive back to the Handson house in silence. Athena silently crying, sitting as far away from Sebastian as possible.

Kyle always said she would never accept his death but to think she would blame me. I'd never hurt that man. He was a father to me since I was 12. I've been under his wing for 10 years now, he's taught me everything there is to know about the company and at the age of 18, I began

working in the company and moved very quickly up to partner of the CEO by the age of 20. Kyle said that one day, he'd marry me to his lovely Athena but she's always acted like a child. Athena never liked me since the day her father brought me home with him. She was only 9 and very spoiled and she began to sob after her father told her I'd be living there from now on. Every since then she's always tried to ignore me. Now that her fathers gone, all that is about to change. I'll grant her fathers wish but how?
