Chapter 1

It was my second year in Woking, this time I had moved alone to a small house not far from the University. I had moved from Madrid and lived during my first year in a student residence, but the truth is that I did not like being there very much because there was not much privacy.

A mechanical engineering student, he sometimes helped in a small business near where he lived, a small teahouse, run by an elderly couple.

"Your father told me that this year you are not going to Madrid on vacation". Carlos said while looking at the letter.

I have found a small house near the University that the owners let me from where I am going to help them for a few days and I have to move and in August they take some vacation days and I will stay with the cafeteria". I said while I kept looking that I could have lunch.

"Your parents with businesses and, you are working?". Carlos asked, surprised.

"Are you planning to do something next week?" He put down the menu and called the waiter to take the order.

"That's good for me. Well, you're coming to Silverstone". He said very happily.

"Seriously?". I asked surprised.

We began to eat after having waited almost 20 minutes for our command to arrive, Carlos had been very excited that I said yes after his proposal to accompany him to a race after so long without going to any.

"Are you going back to Woking?". Asked Carlos.

"Yes, very early tomorrow. I have to get the last boxes out of the residence and I'm on my way to the new house". I said.

"Who is going to help you?". He asked worriedly.

My old roommate, she arrives today from her vacation and well, I finish picking them up and tomorrow on the way to Woking - I said very happy to start my life a little further from where I was currently but I wanted a very different environment. I wanted to be far away even if I had to get up very early to get to the university.

I returned to the residence where my friend Jess was already waiting for me in the room and she was already putting my clothes in my suitcases.

"Helloooooo". He yelled when he saw me entering the room.

"Hi, Jess". I said giving him a big hug "How was that vacation? ".

"Great aunt, the truth is that I had a great time with my parents". He said as he returned to my closet to get more clothes.

"You do not know how happy I am". I said as I moved.

"And your daddies?". He asked

"They come in 3 weeks, but by that time I'm already in Woking". I said as I began to put things in the boxes.

"Ah well, so we can fix your house better". He said and came to give me another hug.

Jess studies marketing and advertising, we met because they put us together from the first day in the residence hall, she is from Barcelona and she came for a scholarship like me because she took the entrance test for the University of Woking and since then we have been a nail and meat. It was ten o'clock at night when we finally put all the boxes inside the van I had rented.

"I invite you to dinner". I said closing the doors.

"Shall we order some pizzas?". Jess said.

"Well, it's not a bad idea". I said as I picked up the phone and we asked our trusted pizzeria for a classmate.

After eating the pizzas and he can't stop talking about what he had done on Jess's little vacation and what my cousin had told me that day to be with him in this race. At 5 in the morning, we were up, as Jess had a harder time getting up than I did when we were on vacation getting up was not her thing.

"Auntie, how could I come to work here every weekend?" Jess said when we got to the cafeteria where she had been working every weekend for a year with an older couple who were quite nice.
