This is a review of the first chapter. The main character is an angry teenager who is being enrolled into a strict school. He doesn’t get along with his mother. The first chapter is short, so the reader doesn’t get a good sense of setting. The author paid attention to grammar and as a result the chapter was easy to read. It is too early to determine the subgenre.
