7 Mr Jeon

Jae woke up at his usual time. He gets ready in such a way as if he is preparing for a battle. He looks at himself in the mirror and takes a deep sigh. Finally, he heads out, where Hiya is already waiting for him.

'' good morning my master '' Hiya said while bowing and takes the office bag from him

''What's so good about this morning? '' Jae says this while sitting in the front seat with his usual poker face.

'' Huhhh! "What's so good about this morning?" Hiya said, mimicking Jae's words with a sarcastic face as he walks towards the driver's seat. '' Pffff, how about you breathing? That's what's good," Hiya thought, rolling his eyes. '' But I have a bad feeling about today; I don't know why," he said with a sigh.

Hiya then takes his seat with the face of a scary cat beside his master because he is having a bad feeling. Suddenly Jae started talking...

 '' Did you inform Mr. Jeon about my visit today? '' Jae said while looking out the window.

''yes ! Master '' He replied to his master while driving their car towards their office, but suddenly Jae said to turn their car towards Jeon's office to meet them first.

 '' I would like to go there first, hiya," Jae said now, looking at some company files.

 '' As you wish, my master," he turns the car to its destination.

They soon arrived at the Jeons.

Jae and Hiya visit the top floor of the building, which was specially meant for the main bosses. Hiya informs the receptionist about their arrival, and soon they are asked to wait in the conference room. Hiya watches Jae while the master sits patiently, but he can sense it through the tapping of his feet that his master wants everything to be done as soon as possible. In a few minutes, the door opens, and they turn behind to see a man walking out of the room in his early 50s, heading to greet Jae.

''Mr. Jae, I apologise for the wait.'' Mr. Jeon said

Jae finds Mr. Jeon decent, so he decides to reply calmly to him.

'' That's alright! Mr.Jeon '' Jae said while they walked towards Mr.Jeon's office to sit and talk privately there.

Shortly after they arrive at the room, an employee walks in with a tray filled with biscuits and coffee.

'' I hope you don't mind; I ordered some refreshments for you; please have some." Mr. Jeon ushers them to eat.

'' Not at all '' was the only thing Jae said before he gave a cup of coffee to Hiya, himself, and Mr.Jeon as well without asking his requirements.

''Oh, thank you," said Mr. Jeon while taking the cup from Jae and asking him, '' so what can I do for you, Jae? ''

'' Simple, why did you choose me to marry your son?" Jae says it emotionlessly.

Suddenly, Hiya started to cough on his coffee when he heard his master talking about marriage while spitting out some coffee. It was too much of a shick for him; the word marriage was too much to bear for Hiya, so he chokes on his own coffee.

'' Sorry for my inconvenience. Please continue," Hiya said while bowing to both of them.

'' I am glad to hear you are aware of the proposal. Well, it's simple: you are the son of my best friend. I have been in partnership with your elder brother Seo Joon for three years, and it gives me immense satisfaction that I am able to contribute to your brother's life somehow. Because I do blame myself for not being here when your parents died, and your father was like a brother to me from another mother. I want to further strengthen our relationship, and I happen to have a son, and that too is a good son. Mr. Jeon said with a smile on his face at the last part. Them he further continuous...

 '' I have heard so much about you from Seo Joon. He talks about you all the time, and that's what made me realise you would be a perfect partner for my son. And it gives me happiness to be part of you both's lives... Mr. Jeon said everything in one short sentence and then looked awkwardly at them, especially at Jae.

On the other hand, Jae listens to his rant and looks at Jeon Joon attentively and with sharp eyes. Then, for a few seconds, he began speaking.

 '' Firstly, even this potato head (pointing at Hiya) can tell you that you're making a wrong decision by choosing me as your son's partner." Jae said while looking directly into Mr. Jeon's eyes. He then stopped for a few seconds before continuing again.

'' It's not about you, your family, or your son." I am sure you all are nice people and the perfect in-laws for a man or woman. But I can assure you on his life (pointing again at Hiya) that I am not an ideal son-in-law, probably the worst you could imagine, and I allow you to imagine the worst of all the worst, and I assure you on his life (pointing again at Hiya) that I am exactly that worst person you could imagine.

Hiya looks at his master with a done face while also gulping the lump on his throat and asks, "Why do you want to kill me?" God, please don't take his swears seriously, and if you do take his words seriously, then do continue to keep him worse. I don't want to die early," he says to himself while looking at the ceiling as if begging God not to listen to his master's words.

On the other side, a staring contest was going on, with Jae still looking attentively at Mr. Jeon, who was looking back at him with the same attention as before.

But suddenly Mr. Jeon laughed out while heartedly leaving a very confused Jae and Hiya,  who thought he must have gone mad by listening to his master's words.

'' Sorry, don't get offended, but you suddenly reminded me of your father." He was exactly like that, calculative of everything back in his early days. He actually used to have that exact same expression when he tried to figure out a person," Mr. Jeon said while swiping the small tears that came out of his eyes while he was laughing wholeheartedly.

'' I am sorry; I don't mean to be disrespectful, but

I don't have a father," he says coldly, pressing each word with utmost importance with a blank and expressionless face.

And there was Hiya, shivering from his master's coldness.

Mr. Jeon doesn't mind his coldness; instead, he enjoys it. '' I like your courage and straightforwardness. Apart from my son, you are the second person to talk to me like that. Which now makes me think, I made the right decision. You are the perfect one for my son. Please marry him." Mr. Jeon said, making begging eyes at him.

Jae sigh '' It's a tragedy that I like you, and that's why I am willing to accept the proposal. But first I will meet your son, and then you and Hyung can decide the wedding date.

Hearing Jae Hiya drop the coffee cup in shock and stare at Jae without blinking, he says, "What the... he could not form his sentence to tell them."

Now both were looking at Hiya with an irritating face.

"Sorry... sorry... again," Hiya apologised. "I better be quiet and control my loud emotions." God knows what he will do to me. But damn, I just watched an amazing kdrama just now live in front of my eyes," Hiya thought in his head.

Mr Jeon Ignoring Hiya's stupid face of thinking, she said, ''Oh, I am so happy. Thank you for choosing my son, and I assure you that you will be welcomed in our family with warmth and love." ...

'' Thank you for your time and coffee." Jae said and stood up to leave, but Mr. Jeon cleared his throat to stop him.

'' Aahm, Jae, when would you like to meet my elder son?" He is coming back from the States this weekend. Mr. Jeon stands up as well and shakes Jae's hand.

'' No need, this pickle face (pointing at Jimim) will contact you and let you know all of that." Jae said.

'' See you soon, my son-in-law." Mr. Jeon said with a teasing smile

While Jae added "soon-to-be..." to it,

''Oh common, it's just too much for my poor heart to take." Hiya thought to himself while looking at the devil of a person his master is, who is now walking in front of him.

Soon, Hiya and Jae walk out of the room. '' I think we need to search for a good punishment for you, Hiya, for being a total mess in there. Jae said while walking out of the office.

 '' I don't dare master. But you must agree the news was shocking beyond imagination for me and my poor heart," Hiya said while giving puppy eyes to his master to melt the devil's heart. So that he won't give him any punishment.

'' Shut-up! You idiot Jae said and sat in the front seat of the car.

 '' So you are really getting married, Hyung? '' Hiya Saud while starting their car. But Jae just looks outside the window while ignoring Hiya's

question.
