A Day Of Comeback

"All of you have that one person in life who you think of them as your competition. You always hate that person and work hard to become better than them. I too have that kind of person who was always a competition for me since childhood. I don't know why everyone likes her though she is one of a kind psycho. Every time she takes up my chance of winning. But this time I'm not going to lose my dream to her. She is none other than the devil in my life, Arica".

Morning alarm strikes six making a sound.

Everyone is in a hurry. Usually, morning times are very calm in our mansion. Though it is big, it is as calm as you can hear a spoon drop sound till the last room. I wake up and get ready for my morning walk. Every day, everyone attends me giving me juice, vitamin water, and energy drinks. But today its somewhat different. I can feel something fishy and dangerous in the air. It was a scene before the Tsunami comes, but I couldn't guess what exactly was happening.

As I suddenly saw my mom who was also busy in some preparations. I go and ask her, "Hey mom, what's happening this early in the morning".

I was not at all prepared for this answer. "Arica's coming home!!".

Ooohhh god!! What the hell!!! I thought something was fishy and was sensing some danger in the air from the moment I woke up. Its been seven years I have been living a peaceful life without any worries and sorrows. This moment is like all the arrows have shot me once. Though I'm sad, my heart is burning saying, "Now its time to get what's mine. This time I'm not going to lose to her".

It's already 10 o'clock and everyone is waiting for her grand welcome. I don't understand why everyone gives attention to that evil head. I last saw her when she was thirteen. Now she is twenty. Let's see if she became more ugly. Obviously, she would have become the ugliest because when I last saw her, she was ugly.

Everyone is waiting in front of the door, suddenly a black car was racing from the gate towards the entrance. The door opens and everyone comes in front of me making her unseen. It's not like that I want to see her, I just want to check if she is still ugly or became the ugliest. From the middle of the people who surrounded her, I finally got a glimpse of her.

" What a jaw-dropping moment!!! No No control yourself", is going in my head. She did not turn into the ugliest but has become the hottest one.

Though these thoughts were continuously revolving in my head, she is still my enemy with whom the war will start shortly.

Finally, after three hours the welcoming ceremony is over and we all went towards the dining to have lunch. The happiest person to see her than her parents, is my grandfather, Edwin Asheton, Chairman of the leading company DesireLife. Though he is seventy, he is still the chairman of the company. He decided to give his company to his second generation rather than the first generation.

You may be thinking she is the granddaughter of this family and guessing the whole scenario. But you are wrong. She is the granddaughter of my grandpa's best friend, Henrick Ford. My grandpa took her father, Blake Ford, when he was less than a year, as his parents passed away in an accident. As grandpa and Henrick grandpa were best friends, he took uncle Blake and raised him as his own son. But he always used to give importance to uncle than dad. Now it's happening the same this time too. Grandpa's giving more importance to Arica, than me, his own grandson.

Now coming back to the dining table, everyone's happy and enjoying their lunch. As everyone was talking and asking about her well being and whereabouts. And suddenly grandpa shifted the topic to us. "Yes, you are guessing right!!! They are trying to hook us". I was well prepared this time.

*Entry of Jane into the dining*

I reacted quickly before my grandpa completes his word," Sorry grandpa, for the late introduction. This is my girlfriend Jane". Everyone is in a bit shock including my mom and dad. As I already guessed the scenario I was prepared with the solution.

Actually, it has been a year dating her. She is kind and always cares about me. She is exactly opposite to the person I hate, Arica, that is why I like her more. Jane is a hardworking and an independent girl. She recently started working in the Management Department of our company. She lost her mother in childhood and father in her teens. She strives alone in this world. I saw her first time, two years back, when we were in college. She was always sweet and caring about me.

Next few minutes after, the silence broke down when Arica said "Haha such a warm welcome... It made me very much happy to see you all after a long time... I have already dropped my luggage in my new apartment while coming here... I need to leave now so that I can unpack my things and arrange my apartment... So I will take my leave...".

Grandpa in a little anger tone, "We have already prepared your room here and the company is waiting for you. It's been two years since I saw you here and you are now saying that you will live separately. I'm not allowing you to go anywhere. Get your luggage here soon."

I know Arica very well, how she can convince grandpa in a few seconds. "Please grandpa!! I know how you feel but I have a habit of working alone... So please permit me... I promise that I will visit twice a day... Pleeeasssseeee... Pleeeasssseeee grandpaaaaaa... Pleeeasssseeee..."

Finish, she melted the toughest grandpa in a few seconds. "OK, but you need to visit me daily twice..."

After lunch, everyone was on their way back to their rooms and finally, we were about to cross each other. Let's see if she will greet me first because this time I'm not going to bend anytime soon.

And finally we crossed our paths, but no reaction from her. I suddenly hear my name calling from behind after crossing each other.
