5 If I wanted to get in you pants...

"Who's that girl?

She looks so fine,

Who's that guy?

I don't recognize"

I walk through the town center to continue our search for the girl.

We've been here for two days and I've hated every second of it. Like who the fuck loses their dog in two days? Well i did (I got him back but the fact that I lost him doesn't change) and that shit wouldn't have happened back home. I miss New York like crazy.

I miss fighting crime at every corner and being able to wear my FBI badge freely. But now here I am 'undercover' looking for some stuck-up rich girl who ran away from home.

The only reason I accepted the offer to come here, was because I could get promoted. That shit better happen because I am not going to waste my time in this stupid little town for nothing.

I put my finger to my ear "I'm in the town square."

"Any sign of her yet?" I hear Frank on the receiving end.

"Yeah Frank, I'm with her right now. We're just walking around this boring ass town for fun."

"You could've just said no."

"And you could've been fucking smart but I guess we can't always get what we want" as I say this, I feel Ralph tug on his leash, trying to run in the direction of a tiny library to our right.

Ralph continues to tug on the leash and eventually, he successfully escapes from my grip and runs into the library.

Standing at the top of the ladder, I push some more books into the historical section.

I swear we add more books to this section every single day, and yet no one gets anything from it.

Suddenly, a small barking noise fills the library and I look down to find Sam- sorry, Ralph running in circles by the ladder.

I gasp and try to make my way down the ladder to him, when in a flash, my foot slips from one of the steps and I completely lose balance.

This ladder, might I add, towers over the whole library so if fall from this, I'm a goner. Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration, I may not be a goner but I will most definitely be injured.

I shut my eyes as I fall off of the ladder in, what feels like, slow-mo, bracing myself for all the pain coming my way.

After taking a deep breath in, I have fallen into something much less painful than the ground.

I open my eyes to find myself in the arms of the most attractive man alive. His arms are wrapped tightly around me and his hard body somehow provides soft comfort against mine. After a few moments of me still in shock, I realize who this man is.

Once the realization hits me, I can't help but find this man even sexier than before. Before he was attractive in a creepy, mysterious and murderous way. Now he's attractive in a White Knight kind of way, and I think any girl prefers a sexy White Knight over a sexy serial killer.

This time he doesn't look tired, this time he has no expression on his face. I look into his eyes and feel cold yet comfortable.

I'm not usually one to believe in fate, but this is our second meeting so, Fate is that you?

"You." I say, more like whisper.

He furrows his eyebrows for a second and digs his grey eyes deeper into mine. When he realizes who I am his face relaxes to his original blank expression "You." He puts me down on my feet "Are you okay?" he asks without a trace of concern on his beautiful face.

I straighten up "Yes, thank you."

The first time I had met this girl, I knew something was familiar. I had seen her blue eyes and pink lips before I was just unsure of who she was. Now I meet her again, with those same blue eyes and those same pink lips and I can't help but be disgruntled over my lack of memory to whom those features belong.

I won't lie to you; this girl is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. Her hair looks so soft and I feel the urge to run my fingers through it. Her plump, pink limps look soft and sweet, all I want to do is taste them. Her blue eyes are hypnotizing and I feel as though I could look into them forever, however, the thought still remains. Who is she and why does she look so fucking familiar?

I'm snapped out of my train of thought when she squats down to Ralph's level and he begins to shower her with kisses (or licks?). He must really like her.

"Who's a good boy? Who's a good boy?" she coos.

I chuckle at her antics.

She looks up and me and blows the hair out of her face "What's so funny?"

"Nothing." I say.

She gives a slight nod, not caring to press onto this conversation, and looks at Ralph then back at me as if debating on whether or not she should say what she wants to say.

"What?" I ask.

She lets out a sigh and gets up with her head looking down.

I furrow my eyebrows and cock my head to the side.

"I have a bunch of stuff in my car and I don't really need it." She brings her beautiful blue eyes back up to mine, "Can I give it to you?"

I scoff "Is that your way of trying to get in my pants?"

Her expression displays confusion "What?"

"Listen lady, I know I'm attractive but-"

"Okay slow down there Mr. Arrogant. If I wanted to get in your pants, I would've gotten in them already."

I scoff "And I'm the arrogant one?"

"You're the one that mistook a friendly offer for a seductive one" her pink lips curl into a smirk, "Some would think you're the one trying to get in my pants"

"Excuse me?"

She lets out a breath in amusement before continuing, "The stuff I have in my car is real. When I found your dog, I had bought him a bunch of toys and they're still in my car. I'm offering to give them to you, for your dog, for free."

For the first time in my life I'm left silent, and embarrassed?

What the fuck?

"Now if you want the toys," She gets down and picks Ralph up "Come with me." She walks past me and a strong smell of strawberries invades my nostrils.

How can someone be so beautiful and also smell so good?

I'm a 25-year-old man. I've had my taste of some pretty attractive ladies; I've seen them and touched them. But she's different. Other women throw themselves at me every chance they get, but she couldn't care less about my presence. She doesn't even seem in the slightest bit interested in me.

Maybe it's this stupid town making me fucked up in the head, but for some reason that shit, her 'I don't want you' persona, is really fucking attractive.

Wait, am I turned on by neglect? Is that some kinda psychological shit I have going on?

I really need to get out of this fucking town.

I shake my thoughts out of my head and turn on my heels to follow her.

She's pretty, she's interesting, so of course I follow her.

We walk to a car, a black Porsche that was parallel parked by the road.

"Is this your car?" I ask, narrowing my eyes at the familiarity.

"No, I'm just car-jacking a random Porsche in broad daylight."

That sarcasm was hot.

What the actual fuck is wrong with me?

"You could've just said yes." I mumble.

"And you could've thought before you spoke but I guess you're not really good at that considering our conversation earlier."

Is it just me or is this déjà vu?

"I like her." I here Frank say in my ear.

I internally cringe at the fact that Frank and the other guys heard that whole encounter.

They're going to give me shit when i get back.

She starts to take all the toys out of her car when I receive a message from my boss.

Boss: We have reason to suspect that the mother of Alice McAllen is behind her father's death. We don't have solid proof yet, but if our suspicion is right, Alice could also be in danger. So, when you find her DO NOT bring her in.

ME: Copy that.
