6 What is love? (1)

"Can you be my girlfriend?" Kenji repeated. The person that was staring at us went back in the classroom. I couldn't see who he or she was. I turned my gaze at Kenji and walked away. I pretended that I didn't hear him and walked back to class. I sat down and wander my eyes everywhere to see who that person might be. Then science class started.

After class ended, I try to avoid Kenji so I went to Jill and asked her to go grab lunch with me. As we were lining up , my mind went blank again. I was staring at Kyle and Kenji. How could they be so different? And don't they interact with each other? Jill was calling my name, but I couldn't hear her. Suddenly, a girl tripped over and spilled the food over me. Everyone turned to look at us even them. My face starts to heat up, that I don't know what to do. Suddenly, someone grabbed my hand and took me outside. "Are you okay? Did you get hurt?" anxiously asking. I stuttered "y-yes, I'm fine" with out looking up, but I know who he was. "I'll bring you to the nurse," even though I didn't want to. As I was about to tell him , a voice behind called out "Kyle!" I turned around and it was Gina. Gina is the most popular girl in our class and suddenly she came up to us.

"Hey Kyle , can you help me with a math question?I asked Mr.Lim and he told me to ask you." He was still holding my hand and doesn't have the intention to let it go. Gina gave me a hard stare as I just stood there. Suddenly Jill called out my name from the cafeteria front door. "I'll be fine, so I should get going," and slid my hand away from his grip. I start to walk towards Jill when I suddenly bump into Kenji. He chuckles and I stared at him. He then gave me the bag with clothes inside. "No thank you," and gave him back. Even though I tried to wash the stain away , the stain and smell is still on my hoodie.

The bell rang and I start to pack my things and leave. Before I could walk over the door, the teacher came in with a stack of paper. The science teacher started to hand out the science project and told us that we have to work in pairs. She told us that it's due in a week. I sigh and stuff the paper in my bag. Jill had something to do today ,so she left me walking to the bus stop alone. While waiting for the bus, I heard many of classmate already find their partners already. The bus pulled up and as I walking to the back, someone pushed me. As I lost my balance, I felt a force wrapping my waist. I got back up and saw it was Kyle. "Do you want to be my partner?" , "Huh?" As I was about to ask him what he means, another voice behind me asked " Lilian, do you want to be my partner?" I looked at both of them as I stood between them.
