1 The Beginning

I, Lilian Young,a senior at Lake City high school. It's a sunny and warm day, the sun shining in my eyes as I was staring outside the basketball court.

"Ms. Young" called Mr. Lim.

I startled and stood up. "Yes, Mr. Lim". I never spaced out like this before, but for some reason today was different. Yesterday my parents announced that they'll get a divorce. I didn't know how to react and just went back to my room and locked the door.

"Ms. Young, can you come up and answer this math question." I went up, but for some reason I couldn't get my mind to do it. It's just a simple math equation , but I can't do it. I went back to my seat and sit down. Once again, I looked out the window. I remember the guy that's playing basketball outside. He's my next door neighbor.
