4 Promises

Another lightening flashed and I notice who he is.

He stood there staring at me and I couldn't look away. He wiped my tears with his hand and I felt the warmth from his touch. I startled and shifted away. "What are you doing?" in a cold voice. I looked up and didn't expect him to talk to me. I remember a few days ago when I dropped something by his house, his mom invite me inside to have some snacks. She asked how her son Kyle was doing at school. I didn't know how to respond since we weren't in the same class.

Now, he's in front of me asking what I'm doing here. I swallowed my saliva and said " uhhh, nothing." I didn't know what to say since I've never had a full conversation with him. "Oh" awkwardly looking away. The rain didn't stop and it kept raining harder. Outside was getting dark and I started to shiver. My whole body was drenched from head to toe from the rain before. " Achoo" and started to feel light headed. I saw him slowly walking towards me, and put his hand on my forehead. He took off his jacket and put it over me , but I was still shivering. In a low voice I called out

" Kyle" and suddenly grabbed on to his hand.

He suddenly stopped moving and sat down right next to me. He took me in his embrace and wrapped his arm around me. I felt the warmth around me and lost my conscious after.

I woke up and the rain had stopped. My fever was still high but I couldn't move. I looked over next to me and realized Kyle was wrapping me around him. He haven't slept at all and our eyes met. He put his hand over my forehead again and he said "we must go to the hospital," but I told him that I just want to go home. I try to stand up but I couldn't. Suddenly, Kyle put me on his back and carry me over his back. I couldn't stop him since I don't have the energy too.

As we were walking, he told me that he'll be by my side and told me that he won't let me be alone anymore. I wonder what he meant, but since my head was burning I couldn't ask him. He took me home and that was the last time I saw him.
