Chapter 58: Sneaking Out

….

One week later.

Private Ward.

"I've brought you your favorite caramel frappuccino and red velvet cookies!" Olivia excitedly said, closing the door behind her.

"Finally. You are the first person to bring me something that I actually like. That ice statue and my dad brought nothing but fruits or more herbal remedies. I can still taste the bitterness in my mouth!" Soo Min complained.

"I mean not everyone is as amazing as your bestie, you know." Olivia boasted.

Soo Min chuckled at her friend's self praise.

"Speaking of which, where is brother-in-law? I thought he was staying with you at the hospital." Olivia asked.

"Yes he has been with me all this time. That man wouldn't even let me walk to the bathroom alone. In fact he'd be standing right outside waiting for me. Do you know how many times I have had to apologize to all the other female patients?" Soo Min frowned as she recollected all the embarrassment she had to face with these past few days with Ryan.

"Come on, that's only because he cares for you." Olivia said.

"Yeah, or maybe he enjoys to make a mockery out of me. I had to literally beg him to go back to work and tell him that I can take care of myself. He still didn't listen, but then he had an urgent meeting with some Japanese delegates today, which he why he had no choice but to go. Yet, the man still left some bodyguards to watch over me. How bothersome!" Soo Min shook her head in annoyance.

"Oh yeah. I saw them standing right outside. Do you know how many questions they asked me before I could enter. They enough asked me to pull out my drivers license to prove my identity. I thought they might even ask me to pull out my birth certificate." Olivia exclaimed.

Soo Min giggled at her friend's sarcasm.

RING! RING! RING! RING!

"One second." Olivia excused herself and answered the call.

"Hello… I already told you I'm not going!… So what if it's a once in a life time opportunity, I already told you I'm not going!… Also stop exaggerating, once in two years is not a big deal, you know…. yeah yeah whatever…. If you have nothing else to say, I'm hanging up!…. Bye!" Olivia hung up the call.

"So annoying!" Olivia harrumphed.

"Who was that?" Soo Min asked.

"No one… just some friends asking to go out to drink." Olivia averted her eyes from Soo Min's piercing gaze.

"Olivia…" Soo Min's eyes narrowed into a slit.

PING! PING! PING! PING!

"Give me that." Soo Min snatched Olivia's phone to see who was constantly texting her. When she opened the chat and saw the pictures, her eyes rounded.

"Isn't this that same concert that was sold out and we waited three hours at one in the morning to get tickets for? It's today?" Soo Min asked.

"Yes, it's today." Olivia pouted.

"Why didn't you remind me? You know how much we've always wanted to go to his concert ever since middle school?!" Soo Min questioned.

"Yes, but look at the state your in. How could we go to a concert like that or how could I even go without you? That's not right." Olivia reasoned.

"I have been here for a week already. Look at me I'm almost as good as new! Besides, one concert won't hurt me and I will not let us miss the best time of our lives just because of one stupid injury. Now come on, bring me my suitcase and let's get ready." Soo Min excitedly spoke.

"Wait but how are we supposed to sneak past all the bodyguards?" Olivia asked.

"You don't have to worry about that. I have an idea." Soo Min winked with a smile.
