Chapter 103: Dinner Date

"Are you sure you want me to come with you? I'm completely soaked and I don't want to dirty your leather seats. I know how much cars mean to guys." Soo Min mumbles, standing in front of the Aston Martin with her hands on the door, contemplating whether to get in or not.

"I don't know what kind of guys you were with in the past, but I prioritize my woman over my cars. And can't you see me sitting here? Last time I checked, I was soaked in the rain too." Ryan responds before he pulls her by his hold on her hand and she yelps as she crashes into his lap.

"Hey! Next time you do something like this, give me heads up at least." Soo Min glares, making sure to not lean her weight on him.

"So there's gonna be a next time? Good to know." He smirks. His black hair falling to his forehead making him looking more younger, relaxed.

"Ugh. Talking to you is like a losing battle. I can never win against you." Soo Min mumbles with a frown.

'Now if she only knew how wrong she was.' Ryan muses, tucking a wet strand of hair behind her ear.

Ryan's Penthouse.

"Your mom's birthday is coming up. Is there anything in particular that she would like?" Soo Min asked, patting her damp hair with a towel.

"You don't need to get her anything. Im sure she'll be happy with you just being there." Ryan said, setting two plates down on the kitchen island.

"Yeah, well I won't be happy with that. Forget it. I'll figure something out." Soo Min retorts, pulling a chair out. "What are you making?"

"Dinner." Ryan smirked.

"Oh and here I thought you were just making patterns with plates—of course, I know that! Can you be a little more specific?" Soo Min frowned.

"Ratatouille with baked aubergine and pesto sauce." He plated the vegetables intricately and swiped the sauce over the plate artistically, before sliding a plate over to Soo Min. "Enjoy."

"This is incredible. Where did you learn this?" Soo Min praised, savoring the test.

"I may have picked up a few skills living abroad." Ryan said before pulling up a chair next to Soo Min.

PING!

Soo Min reached over to grab her phone to see who texted her.

[Noah: hey, minnie... did you forget about me now that you have a fiancé? I'm so offended. I didn't think I'd get replaced so easily. >_< ]

[Soo Min: What? noooo. I would never do that.]

[Noah: Mhmm. Is it because Ryan forbid you from meeting me?]

[Soo Min: Thats not it either. And even if that were the case, I wouldn't listen to him]

[Noah: Is that so? Then, prove it.]

[Soo Min: How?]

[Noah: There's this new restaurant opened up by your hospital. I know you love spicy food, so how about dinner with me tomorrow?]

[Soo Min: Deal]

[Noah: great! i'll pick you up at 7]

"Who was that?" Ryan asked, frowning. He hated the way she was smiling at her phone, or that she was on her phone for that fact. He hated anything that took her attention off him.

"Noah." Soo Min answered returning her attention back to the food. "He asked me to go out with him for dinner tomorrow."

'That son of a bit-' Ryan's thoughts were interrupted.

"He said that you wouldn't let me go. But I told him you wouldn't do that." Soo Min said, eyes shimmering with belief as if that was a fact. "You wouldn't, right?"

Ryan looked at her with surprise. Why did she trust him, so easily? Why was she even willing to?

'It really does seem like I can never win against you.' Ryan sighed defeatedly, nodding.

"On one condition. I'm coming with you."
