2 Chapter 1

"DR. URIEL'S CLINIC IS AT THE 2ND FLOOR ROOM 013," the receptionist casually informed her.

She didn't bother to say thank you. She knows she won't get a 'you're welcome'. Judging from the tone of her voice, it seems like she's emphasizing that 'this is my work if you don't need anything, leave'.

Alisea just quietly walked. Only the sound of her stiletto can be heard along the hallway. She stopped in front the elevator and walked in. She pressed the up button and patiently wait 'til she reach the second floor.

She immediately go to the said office and didn't bother to knock because the door is wide open. She almost jumped off on where she is standing when two guards pulling a woman hastily come out. She was nervous to peek inside so she just watch the guards dragging the poor lady.

"You're a monster! He's monster! He will kill me! " she cried out loud.

She's not sure to whom it was for.

Alisea took a glance inside. His eyes and hers met. A faint smile curved into his lips making her feel awkward. It's a new thing for her. In her work, that kind of smile is impossible to see.

"Dr. Uriel, are you alright?" the blonde lady wearing a white coat immediately rushed towards the gray haired man who smiled at her.

Obviously he's not. His left hand is bleeding.

"Let me take care of your wound," she offered.

"I'm fine. I'll treat this while talking to my patient," he refused trying to sound more gentle but the girl doesn't have the slightest hint to give up.

Another doctor approaches the blonde lady. He pointed at Alisea and the girl smiled back. But in the back of her mind, she's calling herself stupid. Why would she smile?

The blonde doctor took one last glance at him before marching outside. The other two doctors followed her.

"I'm sorry for the commotion you saw Ms. Sy," the gray haired doctor said.

"No need to say sorry. I know where I am."

"Have a seat," Dr. Uriel offered pointing his hand on the couch.

"Thank you."

Alisea sat on the couch but Dr. Uriel walked towards his cabinet bringing out his first aid kit.

"Do you want me to help?" she asked.

"No need. I don't want to cause inconvenience to my patient," he rejected her offer with a mushy smile.

"Do you want me to reschedule this appointment?"

"That is definitely a no. It'll hurt my pride," he answered.

He started cleaning his wound. It was not that deep and he will not lose blood just because of it. From her opinion, it will only leave a scar.

"What a scene! Does it always happen?" she asked trying to start a conversation.

"Yes," he respond without a second thought. "It always happen to my female patients," he continued forming an unpredictable smile.

She didn't know if that smile is a sign of a bad omen or what. She can't also identify if he's kidding or really serious.

"I mean, some women try to fake their illness just to see me. I don't want them to waste their money paying for every session so I always reveal their secret. To avoid humiliation, they act like they're mentally ill," he explained. "Just like the woman earlier."

Alisea just nodded. She doesn't have anything to say. She won't deny this doctor's charm. He has a gray hair complementing his hazel brown eyes. He has a fair skin, pointy nose, and pinkish lips. He's tall enough. He may not look muscular but from his broad shoulder she can say that she got a body that girls will drool over.

"I'm just hoping that you won't end up like them."

"I'm good in making my patients confess their lies," he said while wrapping his wound with adhesive bandage.

"Do you still want to continue this?"
