11 At fault

"I almost burnt my tongue because of that devil of a boss."

Mumbling to herself, Oh Ji-Soo put the mug of coffee on her desk before using the tip of her index finger to touch the tip of her tongue.

Frowning slightly, she withdrew her finger after only a few moments.

"I should really get my resignation letter ready because I will rather become unemployed than let Kim Ji-hun drive me to the point of madness."

Opening her laptop, she turned it on as she continued hammering on her pathetic state.

"I have already started losing some nuts in my head. I'd rather save the remains of my sanity than end up being put behind bars for killing somebody's son, or being locked in a mental asylum for going crazy."

Quickly going to the word document, she set the writing font before starting to write her resignation letter.

'I can't deal with this psychopath and his habitual occurrences any longer.'

By 8:10, the head of the design department came into Oh Ji-Soo's office to submit the new design.

"Director Oh, here is the new design. I have made the corrections and altered a few things. This should do," He announced while placing the rolled-up paper in front of her.

"I asked you to take your time, remember?" Oh Ji-Soo reminded as she adjusted her sitting position while pretending as if she had not been ignoring Kim Ji-hun's call for the last minute.

Apparently, the time Kim Ji-hun gave had elapsed, so he was on point for trying to reach her over the landline and on her private number.

But Oh Ji-Soo didn't care because she was not yet done with him.

"Director, I really did take my time to figure out the two errors in the design and make the adjustment on the softcopy in my system before printing again."

Faking a smile, the manager quickly explained before proceeding to point out the few adjustments he made.

"This should do."

As her eyes travelled over every area of the paper, she found everything to be in position.

After going through the design draft and chatting a bit with him on the same topic, she finally let him leave.

Rolling up the paper, she rose to her feet and left her office with it, going straight to Kim Ji-hun's office.

"What took you so long?" Kim Ji-hun asked as soon as he saw her step into his office.

"I had to make sure there wouldn't be room for any complaints from you."

Answering him, Oh Ji-Soo rolled out the paper in front of him before stepping back and finally sparing him a glance.

Watching the woman that dared to disobey his orders without a shred of remorse, Kim Ji-hun scoffed.

"Make sure to keep up with this energy till you leave work today." Saying that he looked away and shifted his attention to the new design draft.

Within a short time, he raised his head after having found no reason for complaints.

"You will attend J Group's bidding today."

If she made sure to not give him any leeway to scold her by blocking off all accesses, then he was going to create a new one.

Who says she could ignore his calls and do things on a whim?

Standing across from him, Oh Ji-Soo reacted as an emotion finally showed up on her face.

"What? Why should I attend the bidding? Also, the bidding is scheduled to hold tomorrow."

Seeing her ignorance given that she had forgotten to mask it, Kim Ji-hun decided to pin her down there.

"Director Oh, don't tell me you are not aware of the sudden date adjustment for this project bidding by J Group?"

A dangerous smile made its way to his face at the sudden discovery. Then without giving her a chance to understand the reason the date was moved up without warning, he took on the wheel to finish her.

"If I wasn't keeping an eye on the big project I handed over to you, this is how we would have lost the opportunity to bid for it"

Pointing a finger at her while giving her the death stare, he continued, "Director Oh, now you are learning to be negligent of important matters. Would you be angry if I called you an incapacitated leader now?"

Oh Ji-Soo had no words to say other than to stand there and continue staring blankly at him.

But in her mind, she was already cursing a few people that failed to give her an update on the date change.

Now, she couldn't even fire back at the handsome devil giving her an earful.

Given the way he was scolding her, it was as if he had been looking for that opportunity, and mistakenly, she had presented it to him by being negligent.

Truly, she was to blame for not keeping an eye out on the project he handed her to take care of.

As much as she still hated him for cursing her out, she could only apologize for being wrong.

"My apologies, President Kim, I will keep a better eye out." 'If there will be a next time.'

Finally seeing her lower her head plus that apologetic tone of hers, Kim Ji-hun seemed a bit satisfied.

Clearing his voice, he pointed at the design draft in front of him.

"The bidding starts in 2 hours."

Taking the cue and understanding the implication of the situation, Oh Ji-Soo quickly reached out to pick up the paper and roll it up.

"I will get going." Bowing her head slightly, she turned and quickly walked away.

"You better make up for your mistakes by bringing the deal back home!" Kim Ji-hun said after her.

He needed to make sure his warning sank into her auditory nerve for her to know the implication of returning empty-handed.

Ignoring him, Oh Ji-Soo finally disappeared from his sight in quick steps.

She was already running late as she had less than 2 hours to prepare and get ready to leave for J Group to represent 'Dream Axis' in the bid against her fellow competitors.
