TRANSFER OF SHARES

The next day, all the major news outlets in the capital had the same heading, "The new CEO of Lu group, Harry Lu is marrying Lilian Ye in ten days" The news itself was shocking and it brought a frenzy to the whole capital.

"Wasn't Harry already married?"

The news spread faster than wildfire amongst the upperclassmen.

This was the main topic of discussion. Many people knew about Harry and Anna's engagement but the sudden news of him marrying Lilian Ye still was a shocker to others.

The Lu group was one of the prominent families in the capital. They had businesses all over the country. Many rich men who had daughters and wished to marry them off to the Lu family still felt disappointed. Lu family was a tramp card.

Understanding people of the upper class was a bit difficult. One day they are marrying the next day they are engaged. Anna sat down in her living room watching the news with a pensive look.

The day before her life was ruined by the hands of the two people and today they were announcing the start of their happy ending but would she allow them to be, over her dead body.

She promised that she would return the humiliation she felt tenfold. She downed the remaining wine in the glass in one go before walking slowly to the bathroom.

An hour later, she stood in front of the large building written 'Lu group'. The people who knew of her relationship with Harry looked at her with disdain, she was after all the left bride. Many voices loudly reached her ears. Busy bodies had started gossiping. Anna's expression changed slightly before she fixed it. Even his employees now looked down on her.

Today was the major shareholders' meeting. As one of the shareholders, she would have to attend the meetings. Previously, Harry let her stay at home telling her that the meetings weren't important but today she had to use this one thing she still had to bring him down.

Her pencil skirt made her especially alluring today. Her coat made her look like a complete office woman. Previously, Harry never let her wear such clothes and she agreed because she wanted to be the perfect wife for him. Walking down, heels clinking against the floor, the men stared with lust while the ladies with envy. Just how could she look this good?

Entering the elevator, the employees found themselves forming a path just so she could pass. Who was Lilian, just this is the real goods alright? She walked down the corridors towards the meeting room, entering the room suavely.

As soon as she entered, every gaze was on her, but one was particularly piercing, Harry Lu. He watched her every move, as she greeted the others and then sat down at her seat. She never liked the meetings but here she was today.

"what are you doing here?" He asked while looking aloofly in her direction.

"Today is the Shareholders meeting, as one of the Shareholders, is it wrong if I come in Mr. Lu?"

She particularly stressed the last part, clearly and cleanly serving all ties with him.

"The last time I checked, you were not a shareholder. your shares were transferred to me which I, in turn, transferred to the person behind you"

Anna's face turned pale as she reflexively looked back to see Lilian standing behind her with a winner look. Just when did she transfer the shares? Oh, she recalled him giving her some documents to sign. She didn't look at them and signed. So those were share agreements. She laughed in her heart.

"Harry you are willing to do this to me now. But are you ready for the Karma that will bite back at you later?

Do you believe that you will not marry Lilian in ten days? Do you believe that I will take everything of mine back? Those were the shares my mother left me but you still took them away from me. Harry, you know me right?

I am Anna, I will take back everything you owe me, to the last gram." Anna then picked up her bag and left, leaving the shareholders with bewildered gazes but most especially the two people, Harry and Lilian whose hearts were already running when she said "Karma will bite you back"
