Confusion

CONFUSION

"It was Feng Anxi's idea."

The crowd was confused. Did the angel and Feng Anxi know each other? There was no need for further questions; this statement alone was enough as an answer.

Anna secretly winked at Feng Anxi while he was fuming mad. When did he tell her to become the female lead? It was true that he chose this movie purposefully because she was in it but they had never even talked about it. Feng Anxi was seeing red.

A reporter raised her hand and asked, 'What do you mean? Can you please elaborate?'

Anna smiled and raised her head. Her doe-like eyes made the hearts of those who watched her race like mad. Her red lips opened as she answered, 'I had gotten this role quite long ago but I was going through something at the time so I felt that I could not deliver such a heavy role. However, Feng Anxi told me it was fine and that was why I chose it.'

The reporters immediately understood. No one knew of Anna. Ever since she had entered the conference hall, no one had asked her who she was and no one even seemed to know.

They understood immediately why Feng Anxi would tell her it was okay to play the role. According to the books, General Rong was quite a bashful beauty especially when she was on the battlefield. Once, the enemy general even called off the war after seeing her just once and falling in love with her.

When Anna first came, the first thing that came into their minds was General Rong; it was as if she was the general in the flesh.

The reporters thought about it through and through and in their minds, they thought that this was quite a good reason except, one thing was wrong. Feng Anxi had not talked to the bashful beauty at all. Once the conference ended he marched off to find her with steam almost spilling out of his ear.

"You little witch, when did I recommend you?"

Anna was at that time sitting in a corner all alone. She held a cup of juice in one hand and a purse in the other.

"Yoh If it isn't young master Feng," she said merrily.

Her smile almost blinded Feng Anxi and half of his anger immediately dissipated.

"Who are you calling young master? Xiao Lee, we have not met for a long time, when did you become this haggard?"

Feng Anxi disliked being called a young master. His family was quite rich and he was the second master after his eldest sister. He also had a younger brother.

Every sibling of his went into business; he was the only one who chose entertainment by becoming an actor against his father's wishes. Luckily he had the skills and when the money started coming in, his family even opened up an entertainment agency for him.

Anna's smile stilled. This persona that she had impersonated was not actually herself. Only people close to her could notice the subtle difference in her indifference.

"What ever happened to you these past few years?"

Feng Anxi asked. His voice was full of worry but before she could answer, she caught a figure in her peripheral view, it was her father and it looked like he was arguing with Travis over something. Even without hearing any of it, she could already guess whatever it was about.

"Anxi, sorry for using your name back then"

Feng Anxi seemed to have caught a whiff of what was troubling her. He was not that mad either. He just could not believe that the person who was cheerful back then had turned into this.

"No worries." With this Anna's guilt lessened but before she could sigh for long, a voice sounded behind her.

"Sister"

The voice was plain yet it held unhidden grievances. It was that of Julia Lee, Anna's sister. When she turned around, she saw that tears were about to fall from Julia's eyes. Her eyes were already quite puffy, to begin with; it looked like she had just cried.

"Sister"

She called again, her voice miserable.

Anna scoffed; she could tell with a single glance that Julia Lee was acting in front of her. Julia's tears could fool everyone else but they could not fool her.

Even with this knowledge she still heard Julia make an unbelievable request;

"Sister, can you please leave the female lead for me?"
