DON'T WORRY

That scene struck her heart painfully. She had obviously cut ties with him and also promised herself not to feel any pain but to see her own father loving another daughter so openly hurt her so much that she could not describe the pain.

Julia was at the moment holding her father's arms affectionately while pointing at where she wanted to go. Chairman Lee did not object and took her there willingly.

There seemed to be mild laughter echoing from them. They were quite a distance away but Anna Lee heard it clearly.

The pain in her heart only intensified and her face became paler and paler.

"Are you okay?" Mo Xing's voice sounded from above. He had just finished his phone call and came back only to notice that the girl was not the same as he had left her.

He followed her gaze and was greeted with the sight of Chairman Lee and Julia walking together with some guards behind them.

"Big Boss Mo…" Anna Lee called all of a sudden. Mo Xing looked at her gently.

"He is my father but do you know what he said to me one day?"

Anna had never opened up to anyone before. She did not have any friends her age apart from Bella who was also slightly older than her.

She had given up everything for a man who left her at the last minute. Her father did not want anything to do with her.

Mo Xing just waited patiently for her to catch her breath.

"He said, 'I don't have a daughter like you'...I have felt pain before but none like what I felt that day…"

She paused and then continued, "... I thought everything was okay but why….why does my heart hurt so much?"

Mo Xing did not have an answer. His heart constricted painfully too. He patted her back softly and said, "Don't worry, it is alright."

His words were extremely gentle. The tears that were threatening to spill finally found an outlet. Anna Lee cried soundlessly while Mo Xing simply stood there and let her tears fall until she was satisfied.

Once she was done she looked up with puffy eyes, "I am so sorry Mo Xing…" she was apologizing because she thought her mood had ruined the good time they both were having.

Mo Xing simply shook his head, "It's alright." After a while, he asked, "Are you okay?"

Anna Lee did feel okay after crying for a while. Her spirits lifted highly and she returned to the lively girl once again. She looked down at those two and said in her heart, 'This is the last time.'

This was the last time she was going to shed tears because of them. This was the last time the sight of them would ever affect them. Sharon Fu, her step-mother, had really done an excellent job in making sure Chairman Lee loved that daughter of his, Anna Lee mentally clapped towards her efforts.

But then from this day forward, she would return fire with even more fire. This was what she had told Harry Lu back then. She promised to take everything back and she would. That was a promise she made and she would make sure it came true.

Anna then looked at Mo Xing who was still staring at her with gentle eyes, "I have said a lot today big boss Mo, my apologies," She had indeed said a lot, more than she ever did. She could only talk this unrestrained with Bella. Even with Travis, there was always hidden respect that put some sort of boundary between them.

Mo Xing simply nodded and then said, "It's alright. Should we head out?"

He did not want her to see any more of those hurtful things. He wanted to see her happy and her wings soaring high up in the sky. He silently promised to shield her from the many challenges and pains that wrapped around her.

He did not know why he was doing any of this but he knew that she was becoming even more special in his heart.

The two of them and Zhou Feng in tow made their way outside.

Julia Lee who was shopping suddenly turned around and caught a glimpse of them. She hurriedly went to find her father, "Daddy, isn't that Anna?"

Chairman Lee also looked towards where Julia was pointing at. That was indeed Anna but the tall man beside her was not seen clearly.

Julia turned to her father with hateful eyes, "Dad, you remember when Lillian said that Anna got the role through underhanded means, could that man next to her be the one who…"

Her sentence was not completed but he got the implication.

His gaze turned disdainful all of a sudden, "Julia, I am glad you are sensible and not like her. Come, father will buy you everything you want…"

Julia jumped towards him.

Chairman Lee on the other hand looked back once again. He could not help but feel that the man was familiar.

'Where have I seen him before?'
