I think, No one cares about me

Grinson Mansion

On the king size bed, there was a mound of blankets, without any meaningful movement from the creature in it, and a knocking sound from outside that called the owner's name over and over.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"Miss, Miss Gretta. Why is it locked, Miss? Don't you want to go to college?"

Yes, Gretta was the one in the blanket and was actually awake. But unfortunately, she was reluctant to leave the room or just answer questions for her.

Today Gretta decided to be absent from her lectures, she locked herself in her room when she was too tired and didn't want to show her messy face in front of the residents of the campus where she studied.

No, Gretta didn't want to meet anyone right now, not even her grandmother or mother. She just wanted to bury herself in the blanket and cry over her fate, just for today.

Yes, just today, because tomorrow she promises to be the usual Gretta.

Gretta the cocky lady.

"Miss, I brought breakfast for Miss and I put it beside the door, okay!"

Huft…

A sigh just escaped from the sharp nose of this Grinson descendant. Gretta gave up as the nanny kept on coaxing and bringing her all kinds of food. She also poked her head from inside and responded to the words of the nanny a little screaming.

"Yes, Nanny! You can just put it on the nightstand next to the door!"

"All right, Miss!"

Gretta could hear footsteps echoing further and further away from her room. She decided to get out of the blanket that covered her body from head to toe, then got off the bed and walked towards the door.

After making sure that there was no one in front of her room, Gretta immediately opened the double lock of the door and opened it slowly with sharp eyes first glancing left and right, looking at the outside and then her head looking out.

No one.

Fyuh…, thank Goodness.

Again Gretta sighed and then glanced at the nightstand which was located beside the room. There was a tray with a glass of milk and her favorite passion fruit jam sandwich neatly presented.

Her hand reached out to take the tray, then took it inside and locked the door again after that.

Blame! Click!

Gretta re-entered the room, walked to the balcony and sat accompanied by the morning breeze with the sun's rays bringing warmth.

Her smile suddenly faded, remembering what had happened last night, she meant the part she and the man told the story.

Ah! Why does she still call him that guy? Even though it was clear that the man's name was Alrescha, with a familiar nickname that made her wince as if remembering Al's call to be exact.

She took the milk in the glass and drank it immediately, then the jam sandwich made by the nanny who had accompanied her last night to cry and tell stories.

Her mouth was chewing, while her eyes were leaking the sun up there but her mind was currently somewhere.

In the midst of his thoughts, suddenly she heard his cell phone ringing loudly. She rose from her seat and approached the lamp table, then frowned when she saw her friend's name as the caller.

As long as they were friends, Gretta was recently contacted by other people besides grandmother, nanny and also Ayana. This brought a smile to her puffy face and she accepted the call with enthusiasm.

[Gretta, why didn't you go to college?]

Ah! It turns out that someone is still looking for me.

"Not feeling well, Starla," Gretta replied, trying to keep herself from answering excitedly.

[You must be sick? Have you been to the doctor?]

You're worried about me, Starla? Gretta asked herself.

It felt so unbelievable and happy, knowing that a friend who had never cared about her was actually paying attention to her.

"No, I'm just a little dizzy, Starla. It's not that bad," Gretta explained, her heart starting to warm.

Is this what you call a friend's attention?

[So you're not going to class today?]

"Yeah. That's what it is," Gretta answered bluntly.

[Tomorrow?]

"Um, tomorrow of course come in. I don't want to miss class," Gretta explained as she walked leisurely to her room's and sat back down at the table, where her breakfast was.

[Then you won't be absent from our party tomorrow, right?]

Ah! It was a party thing, she thought a little nervously.

"Of course, tomorrow I'll be attending your party for me. We'll have fun," Gretta said with certainty.

[Deal huh? Then see you tomorrow, Gretta. And, get well soon.]

"Um, thanks, Starla."

Tut!

The call ended, Gretta hugged her cellphone with a small smile on her lips, remembering Starla's last words for her.

"I thought you were just friends who thought I was there because of my family. But it turns out you're worried about me too, thank God," Gretta whispered happily and tears welled up in her eyes involuntarily.

Her feelings of sadness disappeared a little, Gretta decided to go back to her meal and hoped her mood would get back up.

Colombia University

In Gretta's special room at the famous university city M, there are two beautiful girls sitting on the sofa and also a young man standing with his back to them.

"Well, is it true that Gretta isn't in today?" one of them asked the person sitting next to him.

Those who were asked did not immediately answer, she put his cellphone back into her bag after she finished contacting someone called Gretta by the girl next to her.

Yes, she was the one who contacted Gretta a while ago, Starla to be exact.

"No, she said he was sick, Elena," Starla replied then threw her back and leaned back relaxed.

"Huh! People seem sick? How is that possible," said Elena, still unable to believe Starla.

Starla snorted at what Elena said, who gave her a skeptical look, then shook her head in disbelief.

"Do you think she's a robot that won't hurt," she said sarcastically, then looked at the young man who had her back to them from the start. "What do you think?" she continued to ask the young man.

"I'll be waiting, you guys don't worry," replied the young man flatly without even looking back.

"Then tomorrow we will prepare it," Elena replied excitedly.

"Hmm."

Starla could only stare between Elena and the young man alternately, before finally looking away while massaging the bridge of her nose which was slightly throbbing.

Thinking about college and also the problems of her life, made her brain instantly smoke with the end of being fed up with everything.

"La! Starla!"

"Ah! What? Why?" said Starla looking in shock at Elena, the one who summoned her name.

"Nothing. But I have to go first, I want to visit someone," continued Elena as she rose from her seat.

Starla nodded and turned to the young man who also turned around, stepping away from the window "You want to go too?" she asked.

Now, the man's appearance is visible, looking handsome with a firm jaw and also a gray manic, "Yes, I have something to take care of," he answered briefly and then left the room, leaving Starla to stare at the two of them in silence.

"I'm nervous," she whispered softly.
