13 A Trap

Azmya was escorted back to her house after the rain stopped. At first, Azmya invites Jun to come into the house but Jun refuses because he has to go home soon, his mother must be waiting for him. Azmya also understands Jun's reason. She also let Jun go with mixed feelings.

That evening, Azmya tries to ask for Yan's cellphone number from Vivian. She also got it and immediately contacted him and asked Yan to come to his house.

It turned out that Yan actually came to her house alone after Azmya gave her home address.

Azmya also invited Yan to sit in the guest chair on the terrace of her house.

"It turns out that your house is cool, there are lots of trees," said Yan chivalrously as a conversation starter.

"Yes, thanks. This house is usually used by my dad when he was on business here," said Azmya.

"I see," Yan's response nodded.

"I deliberately invited you here. There are important things I have to tell you," said Azmya.

"Ohh, sure, before you talk. I want to reverse this," said Yan, handing over the ATM card to Azmya.

"Why is it reversed?" Azmya asked.

"Is the balance lacking? I still have an ATM card whose balance is more than that card," said Azmya earnestly.

"Azmya!"

"Ya."

"I don't need an ATM. Can we say don't bring an ATM or don't be too like that to me, I'm not a material guy," said Yan irritatedly.

"If it's not a material guy, then what guy are you?" asked Azmya sarcastically.

"I don't want to be judged like that, indeed from the start I was wrong but since you started protecting Jun and until you wanted to fight with us and Jun. From there I already felt that you were a good person and liked protecting people, of course, that's for me. little by little like you, "said Yan explaining.

"If you really like me, you should show it to me, not by hurting Jun again," Azmya snapped.

Yan's face was bright red when he heard that.

"I like Jun. I don't care if I have to deal with a guy like you, I'll protect Jun at any cost from you!" Azmya threatened.

"You don't know what kind of person Jun is, because you've only moved here for more than a month, you don't know Jun's background, what about? If you know, do you still want to protect him?" Yan asked sarcastically.

Of course, Yan's statement surprised her a little. It was true that she didn't know much about Jun.

"His dad was jailed for being a drug dealer, you know why Jun didn't go to school for several days, he visited his father who was imprisoned in Jakarta, and do you still want to protect him?" Yan asked laughing after seeing the shocked Azmya.

"You just want to divert it so I can believe your words," said Azmya.

"What you see from Jun is not necessarily true and good," said Yan.

"Maybe his father had committed a crime. But Jun has nothing to do with it and ... no ..."

"You know the adage that fruit does not fall far from the tree, so do with Jun, don't you think if someday Jun will get a drug too," said Yan interrupting Azmya's words.

"Okay, enough, I think I'm already sleepy, you better go home!" Said Azmya while leaving Yan and went into the house.

Yan only smiled triumphantly. He felt that he had succeeded in making Azmya believe his words. He also left Azmya's house.

From last night Azmya tried to call Jun's number. But the cell phone number is not active. Azmya is increasingly troubled by Yan's words last night. Little did she feel influenced by Yan. But Azmya thinks this is because Azmya doesn't know much about Jun's life. Because all this time Azmya only saw that Jun was a diligent student studying, quiet, and tends to be alone. That was all she knew. She didn't know what kind of person Jun was outside the school grounds.

Azmya arrives in class with a sleep-deprived face, pale almost like someone who is about to pass out. It turned out that the class was already full of people who had come. But Azmya doesn't look at Jun, she just looks at his bag which is already on his desk. Azmya sat down and immediately put her head on the table. She is tired and sleeps deprived. Suddenly Vivian and Dea came to the table and surprised her.

"Have you heard the news, about Jun? "Asked Vivian. Azmya immediately woke up and asked.

"What news?" Azmya was immediately worried about the news that would shock him.

"Next week, Jun will go to Korea for student exchange. Yeaaay, there will also be Korean students coming to our school!" Vivian said excitedly.

"Jun will go to Korea, how come?" Azmya asked incredulously. The problem is that yesterday he didn't tell me about the problem he wanted to go to Korea.

"He's the smartest here, he's got a lot of achievements, so it's no wonder he was chosen," answered Dea.

"Actually I also want it if choose, "continued Vivian.

"Well, we won't be able to meet Jun in the next semester, we'll meet when we are in the 3rd grade Final Examination," said Dea lost.

"Where is Jun now?" Azmya asked.

"Earlier he was with Oscar," answered Vivian. Azmya is getting more and more depressed which means yesterday's plan that she heard they have done.

"Let's go to the canteen, I'm hungry!" invite Vivian.

"Sorry I am not in, I'm not feeling well, because last night I didn't get enough sleep," said Azmya again inclined her head on the table. Vivian and Dea went to the cafeteria.

After they left, Azmya looked at Jun's bag doubtfully. Was the item Yan meant already in Jun's bag?. What items or items will be put in Jun's bag?.

And how can he check Jun's bag? Azmya is watching circumstances. No one would notice her if she checked Jun's bag. After feeling safe, Azmya slowly opened Jun's bag. What she's thinking it is possible that the items Yan was referring to were sharp weapons, cigarettes, or money to trap Jun. But Azmya didn't find any objects in Jun's bag. Azmya has even unpacked all of Jun's bag.

"Is the item they want to put in Jun's bag not yet put?" Azmya asked herself.

Then Azmya put Jun's belongings back in his original bag. Notebooks, novels, pencil cases, and bottles of deodorant. When you want to enter the pencil holder. Azmya is curious that she hasn't checked the pencil holder. And when she opened there were only a few pens and a photo. And she was surprised that there was a photo of him wearing a kebaya at the dining table. Why is there a picture of her in the pencil holder? And if I'm not mistaken the photo is when she was attending the invitation of the Minister of Education and Culture of all outstanding students at the Kemendikbud Building at Education Day a year ago.

Why did Jun have a photo of herself at that time? Have not had time to lose the sense of shock and excitement. She drops Jun's The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas - Ursula K. Le Guin's novel on the floor. Azmya also took Jun's book and that's when she saw something fell in Jun's book. A small package containing several white tablets. Azmya asks why Jun keeps so many headache tablets without realizing what they are. Then Azmya put the tablet back in Jun's novel. But then she saw Jun walk into class.

So many classmates who shook hands with him congratulated him that he was going to Korea. She quickly puts everything in Jun's bag and puts Jun's bag back in its original place. But when Jun gets closer to his desk Azmya realizes that Jun's classic novel was still on the table. Azmya immediately moved quickly to put Jun's book into her bag. While waiting for the situation to be safe she would return it to Jun.

"Morning," said Azmya.

"Morning too," Jun replied, forcing a smile. His sad expression returned to his face.

"Congratulations, you said you wanted to go to Korea, but why you didn't tell me?" Azmya asked stammering, holding back her disappointment.

"Sorry!" Said Jun short.

"So you will leave me," said Azmya sadly. Jun didn't budge. He only speechless unable to answer. Only a cold attitude he showed.

What is Azmya's wrong feeling if today's Jun looks cold to her. Azmya is eager to ask why Jun has her photo when she was invited by the Minister. But she was afraid that she would have dared to open someone's bag. Azmya feels sad, it turns out she doesn't know anything about Jun like. His treatment today one hundred and eighty degrees in contrast to yesterday's Jun Lake.

"Jun ... let's go home from school, as a celebration you want to go to Korea!" Said Azmya.

But Jun didn't have time to answer. There were several teachers including the Principal Mr. Bondan, Mr. Tito, their homeroom teacher, and several teachers who also came.

Azmya wonders why so many teachers have come.

"Children today, the school wants to hold routine raids, so everyone, please stand by your desks!" Asked Pak Tito.

In a split second, Azmya realized something. She knows Yan's plan is to trap Jun by putting mysterious items in Jun's bag to make Jun look like a criminal.

And Azmya just realized that the package of white tablets she saw earlier was illegal drugs, a type of drug. And the item is now in her bag.

Several teachers checked all the bags of students in their class. And it was Mr. Tito's turn to check Jun's bag. Azmya is about to cry but she can't. It turned out that Pak Tito did not find anything prohibited. And when Pak Tito unpacked Azmya's bag. Mr. Tito found a novel and he found it. That drugs. Jun initially shocked to see the novel in Azmya's bag. And that was even more surprising there is a packet of drugs in it.

"What is this Azmya?" Asked Mr. Tito.

"That ... that ...?" Azmya is confused somehow about how to answer.

"This is yours, right?" Asked Mr. Bondan, the principal of the school snapped.

Everyone in the class whispered seeing Azmya pale. Jun was about to say something but Azmya quickly answered.

"Yes sir" Azmya replied, making the class rumble. Azmya saw Jun's gaze that couldn't believe Azmya was lying. Azmya just sat there crying if the item was found in Jun's bag. Jun's future will be ruined. He was just about to Korea as a school representative student. If Jun who was trapped, he would definitely fail and his title as an outstanding student would be tarnished if Yan's words were true. He will be labeled as the son who inherited the talent of drug trafficking from his father. Azmya cries over it all, crying over if that thing were in Jun's bag. It will destroy it. Azmya doesn't want that. But Azmya's cry only looks like a knowledgeable criminal. But not Jun. He seemed to be holding back his anger.

"Now come to my office!" Said Mr. Bondan. Mr. Tito also took the package of drugs and told Azmya to immediately go to the principal's room. The entire class was in an uproar with the discovery. They may not believe that a transfer student brings DRUGS to school.

Azmya even without saying a word. She looked at Jun who was trying hard to hold back his tears from falling. He looks emotional and holds back anger. Azmya knows Jun trusts her when she is being framed. Because she had seen Jun give the code by saying Yan slowly to her. Azmya nodded. Jun also covered his face with his hands like crying.

Azmya could not hold back the taste. With tears in her eyes, she left the classroom and Jun. She saw that Jun looked angry but couldn't do anything about it. And that day was the day she last saw Jun.
