32 Punishment

Sab distance herself as soon as Jenny left and decided to prepare coffee for two.

Alvin respectfully blocks Linda's when she tried to approach Tom. Though he doesn't like Linda personally for an unknown reason and the woman has not done anything out of line yet, he can't possibly do bad to the woman favored by Tom's mother.

"I would suggest you leaving now Ms. Linda before the security comes." he reminded.

Linda was annoyed and angered but did not show it off her face. She looked Tom with expectation but got disappointed when he did not say anything after a while.

She sighs silently. If she tries to force things now, Tom will have more reason to push her far away. She exhaled and bid goodbye to Tom in a depressing tone.

Alvin also left to make sure all people who're responsible for today's incident will be punishment.

Sab, on the other hand, keeps messing on the tea. Her mind keeps on wandering outside and imagining Tom and Linda hugging and kissing each other.

She was a bit annoyed at herself, refusing to accept that she was affected by it. She hates herself acting crazy and irrational for the past few weeks. No, to be exact since she met Tom.

Those two look very compatible with each other. I should be happy. If that's the case, I will get my freedom much earlier than expected, she said consoling herself but unable to force herself to smile.

When she came back, Tom was sitting on his work chair like a king but not doing anything. He was just staring at the computer monitor.

She placed the tea on his table and prepared to leave but her wrist was pulled and was forced to sit on his lap.

Tom looked at her red face and wanted to smile but did not do so. "Do you want to ask anything?"

Sab"..."

She struggled but the man held him in place and hugged her tighter.

"What are you doing?" she asked frowning.

"Wife I think I'm sick again. I feel uncomfortably hot... You need to help me." Tom even paused before speaking the last sentence.

Sab's face and neck were red, unsure if this due to anger or embarrassment. This man is spouting nonsense. Does he not know that they are in the office and Alvin might enter anytime? It would be too shameful if they were caught red-handed.

Also, just a moment ago 2 beautiful women came to give trouble. Thinking of their intimate moment this morning was both a pleasure and a torture for her. If she were to stay with him longer, people will gossip more.

No one might prick on him but that will not be on her case. She pushed and tried to get free but it was no used.

She felt weak and even become weaker due to hunger. She has not eaten properly for the day.

"You liar... let go of me. You already violated the contract" she glared at him fiercely since there is nothing she could do with her strength against this shameless man.

"What were you thinking? I only want you to check if my fever returned?" he then placed the thermometer in her hand.

Sab eyes and mouth widened in disbelief. Did she really misunderstand him?

This man intentionally said those words to bully her. "You.. you.." she wants to scold him but unable think of a proper word to do so. In the end, she just looked away in anger and her mouth pouted involuntarily.

She cannot speak to this man anymore. She almost hypnotizes herself to be always cautious moving forward. It would be too brainless if she let herself fall to his traps every time. This man is too cunning and evil.

Tom can't help to giggle at the little wife's reaction. He touches the tip of her nose and fooled around for some time before they decided to go home.

Next morning.

All the CEO secretaries got a suspension memo including Jenny and Linda who is about to start working. Those who help the two got 2 weeks suspended and those who just watched and did nothing had a 1week suspension while both Jenny and Linda got the 1-month memo.

All the secretaries almost cried in tears when they see the notice but did not utter a word or whine openly in fear that they might trigger their boss anger more.

They know that the punishment they got is way better than terminating their employment like what happened to others.

But all of them felt unfair especially the one that did not do anything. Linda was the rumored Fiance, doted by the CEO's mother and Jenny is the Vice President's daughter that holds a high position in the company. Who would not be afraid to offend them?

Due to this obvious fact, most of them decided not to do anything and watch unfold the drama silently. Others who want to gain favor from them took this as an opportunity.

Nonetheless, Sab was the one who opened the door not them. Why do they need to be punished? Their grievances even worsen when they did not see her received a letter.

Sab suddenly felt uneasy. Everyone seems to look at her weirdly but she is unable to explain why. What is happening? Why is everyone looking weird?

Feeling troubled the whole day, she sent Alvin a message if he knows anything.

When she learned it was related to the incident, she begged him to give her a harsher punishment but he refused to do so.

"Talk to Tom if you want to be punished as well."

Sab cried without tears. All she wants is to live life smoothly and avoid as many dramas as possible. But why trouble always finds her?

If she will be the only one that will not be punished, her work life will only be more difficult as it is.

While eating dinner, she glances at Tom who is eating very slow.

"Speak.."

Unsure why but the man calmness made her heart tremble and gives chills on her entire body. Her voice can't help tremble a little when she spoke.

"Why did you not punishment me?"

Tom stops eating. "Why? You want me to punish you?"

"It's not that I want to. But I was the one who let Jenny and Linda get into your office. It would be unfair to others if I don't get punished," her voice becomes weak as she explained.

Tom's lip curved slightly. This woman seems much simpler than she is now.

The only reason she did not get punishment is that she's the only one who speaks up for him while others did nothing.

As a boss, he expects everyone will execute their jobs without being biased and be loyal to him.

In return, he will reward them generously. But that incident only proves one thing, they are all suckers and can serve many kings, the kind of person he hates the most.

It seems that the Recruitment Team was not doing their job properly. Remembering the incident again, his aura becomes extremely cold and murderous.

Sab's heart tightens thinking she angered the man. Though other people cannot hurt her emotionally and cannot bully her easily, she would still prefer to be in a civil relationship with them at least.

"Did you not punish me because we are in a fake relationship?" she asked in a red face.

Hearing the word "fake relationship" gives a little trouble in Tom's heart. He is quite angry at her. He frowned and his lips curved.

"No"

"Then.. then.. why am I the only one who didn't get the memo?"

Tom: "Will you accept the punishment?"

"Of course, I am at fault as well. I will not complain."

"You sure?" Tom's eyes shone in split seconds but since his tone was calm and serious, Sab did not notice anything.

She just felt happy that she will get punishment as others and will not be subjected to any gossips due to unfair treatment.

"Yes.. yes... yes. I'm sure."

"Okay, be good and now eat more," he reminded.

Sab locked herself at the guess room after dinner. She wouldn't let the man do whatever he wants. Tomorrow is also Auntie Lina's day off. They wouldn't need to pretend.

Tom's lips curved slightly seeing Sab running after washing the dishes like a rabbit. He followed and stood in front of her door for a few seconds before going to his study room.
