TIMERANTE'S POV

I had been detecting a strong and distinctive scent for a while now.

"She's outside, beyond the door," the wolf inside me reminded me.

Instinctively, I should think that Sonja didn't fall asleep and came to see me. However, in the first instant, the face that flashed through my mind was Faye's.

I was startled by my own instinctive reaction. And when I came to my senses, I couldn't help but despise myself.

It was over. Sonja and I were destined to be together, and she was the only one I could truly love. Soon, I would prepare a grand wedding ceremony for her and make her my Luna in the presence of the Moon Goddess.

As for Faye, that woman had nothing to do with me anymore. She should still be unconscious in the silver dungeon. Besides, even if she woke up, she wouldn't have the strength to escape with her injuries.
