2 repay my debt

"W-Where do I go?"

I spot a woman. Her long black hair stopped at the middle of her back, and she wore a small pink jacket over a white dress. She also had matching white shoes.

(Her legs were shaking and she was walking at the pace of a snail..I have to help don't I?.... what a pain.)

"Yo, you need help?" The girl jolted in surprise and looked at me like I was flying…(Do I look bad or something?)

"Yes sorry, um, can you help take me to stardust hotel please? I was trying to sightsee and ended up getting lost."

"Ok no problem (that's right by the dome…)

"What's your name by the way?"

"My name is Kurosawa Dia. Nice to meet you…'

"Shinsuke"

"So Shinsuke I'm going to assume you're from here?"

"Yeah, this town is my home."

"Then tell me why are there so many casinos? I barely see any restaurants."

"Because they're profitable, and people from all over the world come here to try their luck at winning a jackpot. This city has been here for decades and no one's ever hit it once, so they figured it's bound to happen soon."

"T-that's amazing! Were you ever interested in trying it?"

"Nope, if big shots weren't getting it I know someone like me couldn't."

"So are you in school?"

"Yeah I'm a 3rd year actually, although the school isn't exactly what I would call good."

"Kurosawa you seem to be very Curious."

"Well if you'd like you can ask me questions as well. Maybe we can even be friends."

"Heh heh, that might be a mistake on your part. Why would you wanna be friends with me?"

"I think anyone can be friends with each other, it doesn't matter to me."

"Heh...oh! I think we're here now that was a nice chat kuro-

"WAIT!"

"Can you come with me for a second? If you would like, I can offer you some food and you can meet my friends."

"Huh but I'm not-

My stomach rumbled (crap I forgot I didn't eat lunch.)

"Heh heh, c'mon it'll be quick, I promise."

"Something tells me I won't be able to say no... alright make it quick though. I don't got all day."

(I stick out like a sore thumb here. I'm used to it but still it's annoying as-)

"Ignore them."

"Huh?"

"I noticed too, just ignore them."

"Heh, I'm used to it already, so it's fine."

"Just because you're used to it doesn't make it fine."

(my first time being in a hotel room… it's very spacious)

"You have a lot of beds for one girl."

"Heh heh no, no, those are my friends' beds."

"Won't they freak out seeing me?"

"No? Why would they? Well then again, my little sister would, but that's not your fault ."

"Well where are your friends any- is the shower on?"

"Yeah that's probably kanan, I advise you to get out of the hotel room for a bit, no peeking."

"W-why that serious face I'm not a pervert."

"I'm just kidding I'm just kidding haha, she's just washing her hair you can stay."

"Anyway, where's the….food?..."

(Is that the friend Kurosawa was talking about… what's wrong with me? Why did my face feel hot and my chest feel weird for a second?)

"Oh Hi. Dia, who's this?"

"Shinsuke, I decided to bring him up here after he helped me find my way back."

"I told you to bring me with you in case that happens."

"I-i had it under control for a little bit."

"Under control? You were shaking like a leaf and walking like a turtle."

"Haha I would've liked to see that."

"S-shinsuke!"

"Hey I gotta be honest. Anyway, I'm guessing the food's downstairs?"

(After I'm done eating food I'll be out of here, I don't belong here anyway.)

(It was oddly quiet as we were eating. If someone walked in they would've thought it was a funeral home. It's probably because I'm here, once I leave they'll talk about personal things... I do wonder though.)

"Why are you girls here? Is this part of a world tour or something?"

"No no, we were invited to perform on a show as past champions by love live, an idol competition,." Kurosawa said with pride in her voice.

"Past champions? Heh" (something we have in common.)

"Yeah I haven't seen much of Izubara myself other than the large crowds of people."

"Hmm why didn't you matsuura?"

"Just call me kanan no need to be so formal. That's because…"

"You overslept and by the time you got up you thought we went missing."

"D-Dia!" (Ah so she can blush, Kurosawa is laughing and enjoying herself too... I really don't belong here.)

"Shinsuke? What is Izubara like?" Kurosawa asked

"Hm? Didn't you ask me this already?"

"I only asked you why there were so many casinos not what the city is like."

"Well I'll give it to you straight then. The town is actually a prison."

"A prison?"

"Think about it, how many people are dressed like me in this hotel alone?"

"Not anyone really."

"Exactly even in the town people are not wearing clothes like me or even you Kurosawa. They're wearing clothes that you see for red carpets, award shows, stuff like that. You really think people like me have any chance of succeeding anywhere? There's no apartments here because nobody would be able to afford them."

"Hold on.earlier you did say to me that people from all over the world come here to win the jackpot, are those all rich people?"

"A regular person never wins, people come here and waste all their life savings on one chance to hit it big.They end up failing and are forced to stay here with no way to get back home. They just wouldn't give up.

"Um,what do you mean by that exactly?" She asked, raising her right blue eyebrow.

"Well think about it like this, if I'm playing a game of catch 21 and you get 21 would you keep going?*

"What kind of a question is that? Only a crazy person would keep going."

"Exactly my point, people would get exactly what they wanted and still keep going, getting greedy and hoping for a better pay out. I think in situations like that you should just quit while you're ahead. To keep going after that, that is foolishness."

"F-foolishness!?" (She seems offended I knew I should've kept my big mouth shut.)

"Kanan calm down, Shinsuke, while I am very interested in this discussion, I have one last question. Do you mind telling me how Izubara is at night?"

"Well..all I have to say is, it's basically criminal warfare."

…"O-oh well I'll call Ruby I have to make sure she's ok."

She called someone, who I assumed was her sister and the phone kept ringing, no answer, kept ringing no answer.

"T-there must be a reason, maybe her phone died, oh! and she's with Chika and the rest of-"

The door opened and 3 girls walked in, one with red hair, one with blonde and one with black.

But Kurosawa looked even more panicked. "Riko,Yoshiko Mari weren't Chika, ruby and You with you?"

"They were but we went our separate ways and did our own thing. Why what's wrong?* The blonde one asked with concern in her voice.

"Dia calm down, calm down. Call Chika and You, I bet they're safe." the blue haired girl said, trying to calm Kurosawa down.

(This whole situation just smells off to me, I fear the worst and if that's the case I'll save them. Because if they don't answer…. .)

She calls Chika and no answer then You ….

"Th-they're not answering!" Kurosawa's skin turned pale and she was breathing very heavily. Blue and Blondie were calming her down while the red head looked worried too.

(Welp I guess it's time to repay my debt.)
