Arriving at the hospital, Zach immediately asked the receptionist where Evan was being treated. After knowing which room the child was being treated in, he immediately walked towards the room by down the hospital corridor with the dominating white wall paint.

Arrived at the intended room, Zach did not immediately open the door. He glanced at the door where there was a translucent glass which made him see Adriana was sitting down, occasionally wiping her eyes. The woman looks like she is crying.

'Why do you always look sad? Are you unhappy with Mark? and where is he now, why not here?' Zack thought wondered, his eyes searching for Mark's whereabouts but not finding him. The man immediately opened the door and entered.

Adriana, who was crying cursing her fate, immediately wiped her tears and turned towards Zach who had just entered. The man stared at her intensely, then looked at Evan, who was sleeping with an IV attached to his right hand.

"You came here," muttered Adriana who did not think that Zach came. Her gaze was flat and felt awkward.

"Of course, I'm worried about you and your child, Adriana," said Zach as he walked over to Evan from the right side of the bed.

"His name is Evan," Adriana confirmed.

"Sorry I forgot, where's Mark?" Zach asked as he glanced toward the bathroom or sofa, thinking maybe Adriana's husband was there.

"He's out of town," said Adriana without looking at Zach. It would hurt even more if she looked at the hazel-eyed man who had been her hope.

Zach frowned and asked, "His son was sick and he left. Doesn't he care about you?"

"He left before knowing that Evan was sick, and of course he cares about us," said Adriana lied. she was reluctant, to tell the truth about her family matters because surely the man would lecture her.

"Hmm ... great, I'm relieved to hear that." Zach nodded in satisfaction but his expression showed an expression of displeasure. Maybe he was jealous because Adriana always complimented her husband.

until a moment, there was only silence between them. Zach sits on the sofa while Adriana remains on the chair on the left side of Evan's bed.

Adriana glanced at Zach who had been staring at her seriously, it made her uncomfortable.

"Should you go home, Zach," she exclaimed, not wanting to spend too long with the man.

"Why did you kick me out? I want to take care of Evan until morning." Zach seemed to insist on staying and instead moved closer to Evan. "I can't bear to let you take care of him alone," he continued with pity.

"Don't be crazy, Zach, go home! I don't want anyone to misunderstand you if you're here!" Adriana insists and pushes Zach towards the door so that the man is willing to go home. but when they were at the door, even Dave came carrying a medium-sized bag.

Dave was silent at the door staring at Zach who looked foreign to him.

"Dave, you've come. Eh. I happen to be out for a moment to buy food. please take care of Evan," Adriana exclaimed, then rushed out, dragging Evan impatiently.

Dave was still silent staring at Adriana's departure with a strange man. 'Who is she?' he thought.

Arriving at the hospital grounds, Adriana released her grip on Zach and moved her body away from the man.

"You can't carelessly see me again, Zach ... I am a married woman!" Adriana reminded him irritably.

"We've been friends for a long time and Mark knows that too, so what's the problem?" asked Zach.

Adriana sighed, glanced at Zach, who cared less without thinking about who he was.

"You don't know how my in-laws would accuse me carelessly if she saw another man with me, I don't want any trouble. So, don't meet me without permission! I'm afraid when my in-laws come to see Evan while you're here." Adriana explained with an almost angry expression at that time.

"Then who was that man?" Zach asked while remembering about Dave going into Evan's ward.

"He's Dave, my brother-in-law," said Adriana, looking away.

Zach nodded in understanding and sighed roughly because he still wanted to be with Adriana but had to go home for her good.

"Okay, I'll go home, call me if you feel you need me," Zach exclaimed while smiling at Adriana.

"Yes," said Adriana.

"I'm home," Zach said goodbye and then immediately returned to his car, which was parked not far from where he was standing with Adriana.

Adriana just stared at Zach's departure until she was out of sight. 'Don't come to any closer, Zach. My heart is in difficulty. I was afraid you would become my wound healer, so I started expecting you again,' she thought.

When Zach left, Adriana immediately bought food and drinks at the hospital canteen, then returned to the room where Evan was treated.

Adriana saw Dave asleep on the white sofa, then put a blanket on him. after that, she sat on a chair near Evan's bed. The young mother stared at her son who was sleeping but deliriously called for his father.

"Daddy, daddy, wanna play with daddy ...." Evan kept on delirious. it made Adriana sad and thought about telling her husband about her child.

Adriana immediately contacted Mark with his smartphone but couldn't at all. Many times she called her husband, but his number remained inactive.

"Is there no signal?" muttered Adriana irritably. She couldn't even calm down because Evan was delirious enough to make Dave wake up too.

Dave got up from the sofa, then walked over to Adriana and Evan.

"What is wrong with him?" asked Dave with an expression showing his sleepy eyes.

"He keeps calling out his Daddy," said Adriana sadly.

"Didn't you call him?" Dave asked as he touched Evan's forehead which was getting fever again.

"Yes, but the number is not active, or maybe there is no signal there," said Adriana.

Dave sighed as he looked pitying at the young mother, "tomorrow I will follow him."

"No need. I don't want to bother him, he must be busy at work. Anyway, I can take care of Evan without him." Adriana prevented her because she didn't want to bother her brother-in-law.

"I'll call the doctor," said Dave then walked out of the room looking for the doctor's whereabouts to check his nephew's fever.

Adriana tried to calm her delirious son, "be patient, Dear, when you get better, Daddy will always accompany you to play."

Adriana looked at her son who was thirsty for the love of his father who was too busy to have time for him.

Dave came with the doctor. Adriana immediately got up from the chair, allowing the doctor to examine her son

Dave glanced pityingly at Adriana. he felt sorry for his sister-in-law and felt sure that Mark was lying to her.

'Mark, if you don't go out of town and go off the mark, I'll beat you up,' he thought with a tight jaw as he clenched his fist.

Mark is enjoying dinner at a restaurant with Maura. In the restaurant with an outdoor theme with orange lights and ornamental flowers around the edges, they both look happy as a couple in a drunken romance. the man did not think of his wife and children at all.

"It's been a while since we had a romantic dinner like this," muttered Maura while smiling sweetly at Mark.

"If you never left, maybe things weren't like this," Mark replied with an expression of displeasure.

"We can change this situation by you divorcing her, don't you love her?" Maura asked confidently.

"I don't want to be hypocritical. I like her a little, she is attractive, she is the mother of my child. But ... I can't avoid you after you come back." Mark answered firmly, then got out of the chair and walked towards the guardrail. He stared at the sparkling lights illuminating the skyscrapers around the restaurant.

Maura pursed her lips because she was annoyed at Mark, who blatantly said that he liked Adriana.

"Then what's all this for?" asked Maura in a high voice.

"Hey ... don't be angry." Mark turned to look at Maura. "I can't divorce her right away. You know my son is so young, I feel sorry for him if I was a father divorces his mother," he persuaded her while gently rubbing her cheek.

"Oh ... so I have to wait for him to grow up, mature. Are you crazy? I must have been old by then I don't want to be your mistress to old age!" said Maura in a high tone, then looked away.

Maura enjoyed Mark's treatment that she missed after she had left for a long time. That night, they make love without thinking that the other party will be hurt because of their affair.
