58 Go To Japan

Lu Chenjun placed his phone back onto his desk and he turned his chair around slightly, looking out at the darkening sky.

He wasn't really in the mood to work anymore and it was getting late. Lu Chenjun stood up and walked out of his office.

Fang Shi immediately got up from his chair at the sight of his boss and asked, "Boss, where are you going?"

Lu Chenjun clicked the elevator button, "I'm going home. You can leave when you are done with your work."

Fang Shi nodded silently before sitting back down. But it isn't even 5 P.M. yet. . .

---

The next morning, Lu Chenjun listened to his workers report the company's current situation while he gently massaged his temples.

He didn't sleep or eat well last night. Chu Hua insisted on making dinner for him, and he ended up only eating a few bites of the "food" she made.

Lu Chenjun was glad that he didn't get food poisoning from yesterday's dinner. As the last representative stood up to talk, Lu Chenjun also got up from his chair, impatience written all over his face.

"Meeting adjourned." With that, Lu Chenjun swiftly pushed the door open and walked out, leaving everyone in the meeting room in shock.

Fang Shi quickly recovered from the surprise and followed Lu Chenjun out of the room. The workers exchanged confused glances but didn't dare challenge the CEO's order.

One by one, the workers left and returned to go do their work.

Lu Chenjun walked back into his office and sat down on his couch.

He pursed his lips together as he thought, 'Leaving Jin Yinghui out in the open like that really isn't a good choice. She attracts too many desperate men. I should make her move back in.'

Lu Chenjun clasped his hands together and raised one eyebrow mischievously.

He stood up, "Fang Shi!"

Elena tried to maintain as low a profile as possible as she arrived at the filming set. Without talking to the director, Elena immediately walked into her changing room and began doing her makeup by herself.

Right after Mila arrived, the director called them over to film their first scene. This scene was very easy, and Elena was able to pass it in one go.

Afterward, Elena went back into her changing room to study the script while sipping on the coffee Su Yan bought for everyone on the set.

Suddenly, Elena began laughing. Mila glared at her in confusion and asked, "Why are you laughing?"

Elena took another sip from the Americano coffee and held the cup up for Mila to see, "You know when Su Yan was passing out the cups, she gave it to me last."

Mila nodded, not understanding why Elena was laughing.

"A worker in the camera crew wasn't here today, and Su Yan didn't have any extra drinks after giving it to everyone. She bought it before she came on set, so there is no way she knew that the cameraman wouldn't be here today. I'm guessing that she purposely bought one less, hoping that she would be able to make fun of me by not giving me a cup."

Mila thought about what Elena was assuming and nodded her head in agreement.

"Is Su Yan still mad about what happened a long time ago?"

Elena shrugged, "How would I know? Let's hope she's not that petty. I don't want too many enemies here. When is it time for me to film?"

Elena looked towards the door as if someone would walk in if she looked long enough. She jumped in her chair when her phone suddenly started ringing.

She picked it up, wondering who could be calling her at the moment. Elena immediately recognized the number, it was the one belonging to her company.

The caller ID revealed that the caller wasn't in the country, and the screen showed that it was from Korea. Elena sneaked a glance at Mila before picking up the call.

"Hello," Elena said in Korean.

"Elena, still recognize my voice?"

Elena's face immediately lit up at the sound of the familiar voice.

"Shin Eunsoo!" The middle-aged female on the other end of the phone was Elena's manager and her boss.

She was extremely friendly, and she played a major role in Elena's quick debut.

Elena's smile reached her ears as she asked, "What happened? Why are you calling?"

Eunsoo cleared her throat once and said, "The company heard that you're almost done with filming your drama."

"Yes."

"You know the reason why you're in the Jin Province right now is to increase your fanbase, right? The company thinks that after you finish filming, you should go to Japan."

Elena's jaw dropped in surprise, "What?"

She didn't expect that she would have to leave so quickly.

"We all discussed it. Number one, after the drama comes out, you will definitely grow your fame in China. That is certain, especially with your visuals and talent. Therefore, we think that Japan could be your next station for growing your fanbase. Number two, the company heard about your scandal with Zhang Bing. I did some research myself, and Zhang Bing's fanbase is very powerful as he is famous internationally. We think that a good way to put an end to this scandal is for you to go to Japan."

Elena paused, weighing her options in her head. Noticing the silence, Eunsoo continued.

"Of course, if you don't want to go yet, you could stay in the Jin Province a little longer. I negotiated with the company, and they said that they could allow you to stay and release an album first before leaving for Japan."

"So I have to go to Japan either way?"

Eunsoo sighed, "Yes, this decision was made by the company, and truthfully, I support them. This will help you greatly, and I could tell that the Japanese audience will love you. This may just help you break out of your national title and earn you an international title. This is an amazing opportunity!"

Elena knit his eyebrows together, "I understand. If I go, what will happen after I become famous in Japan?"

Eunsoo seemed excited, "Even though you have been in China all this time, your fame in Korea hasn't decreased even the slightest. After Japan, you will basically have all of Asia's entertainment industry down. You can come back to Korea then if you want."

Elena looked at Mila, who was leaning extremely close to her ear, trying to hear what Eunsoo was saying.

"Can I think about it?"

"Sure! I heard you only have a few days left of filming. Tell me your decision in a week, okay?"

Elena smiled, "Thank you, Eunsoo. It was nice talking to you."

"No problem!" Eunsoo hung up the phone and went back to her work.

Seeing that the call ended, Mila immediately pounced onto Elena to ask her what happened. Elena patiently explained the plan to Mila, who became very excited about going to Japan.

"Are you stupid? Of course, let's go! I heard Japan is very pretty, I want to go there."

Someone called Elena from outside the room, telling her it was her turn to film. Elena stood up and looked at Mila.

"I don't know. Let me think about it." With that, Elena left the room.

Mila also stood up and followed Elena. She sighed and looked down. Mila could guess why Elena was hesitant to leave.

Of course, it was because of love.
