Tears were rolling down my eyes with her hurtful words.

"What are you doing here?" My granny asked me while entering the room.

" She is being shy to go. I am also saying to her to go to the room." My aunt lied.

I wiped my tears with the hem of my saree without noticing my granny. I don't want my granny to hurt because of me.

" Go to the room, your husband will be waiting for you" my granny reminded me.

I nodded my head controlling my tears.

"As per ritual, widows should not come along with you until you reach the room. So, go by yourself and take this milk with you." My granny said to me.

Unsteadily I walked towards the room. I was scared of thinking whether Karthik also thinks of me as a gold digger.
