37 Her Savior (Part One)

One of the culprits' hands is about to snap Sakura's mask off when the latter bit off his hand as hard as she could so that he might not grab her. When she did that, he panicked and tossed his hand in the air.

As the pain continued to seep in, Sakura's kidnapper faced the girl once more and gave her the sharpest look that he could give to a person. "You b*tch! How dare you!"

Slap!

At a lightning speed, that guy's hand swiftly made a hard contact on Sakura's right cheek making the latter's head turn to the opposite side. Sure, the slap stings like hell, but Sakura won't give this guy the satisfaction to see herself crying in pain in front of him.

"Scumbags like you truly deserve that,"

Instead of crying, Sakura managed to smirk in front of the guy, causing him to lose his temper once more and slap her again on the other side of her cheek.

Sakura shut her eyes for a moment as she felt her vision getting blurry with his second slap but opened them once more when she was able to pull herself together.

The other guy with the curly brown hair, who was just standing quietly in the corner faced his buddy impatiently and said, "Just be done with her already so that we could take turns and get the money as soon as possible."

"Right…" His buddy said and made a long stretch of his arms as he cracked his knuckles in pleasure. "Let's get down to business, once and for all."

A sickening smile emerged on the corner of his lips as soon as he was done with what he was doing and made another attempt to take off Sakura's mask. The latter, on the other hand, tried to evade his hand by turning his head away from him but the other guy's hand made sure to make it steady enough for the guy to remove his mask easily.

"If you lay your filthy fingers in that girl's mask...you're dead."

The guy's hands were already halfway through removing Sakura's mask when they heard another voice of a guy echoing through the establishment. Both of these guys froze into their places as they darted a look in their surroundings.

"Who's there? Show yourself, coward!" The one with the black hair roared in an authoritative voice that he could muster. Since they turned off the lights, both these guys are having trouble looking for the new stranger even with the help of the faint moonlight outside.

But to Sakura who was able to hear that voice ever since childhood, this guy is no stranger to her… for she could clearly recognize the owner of it.

"Mori Ken…" she mumbled to herself in disbelief. Her eyes went into circles as her mouth gaped in awe. 'I thought… I thought you would never come.``

A silhouette figure waves past the two culprits and playfully called them out, "I'm right here guys,"

In the blink of an eye, a hand appeared up in the black-haired man's peripheral vision and punched him hard in the jaw, knocking him off balance and leaving him face first on the ground. That alerted his accomplice and hurriedly switched to his fighting stance.

"Show yourself, coward!" he cried out

"Geez, I would love to. But you turned off the lights earlier, remember?"

In quick succession, Sakura's savior smiled at the second culprit before punching him in the gut. All of this happened so fast that the culprit wasn't able to defend himself and ended up being knocked off the ground as well.

When Mori Ken was on his way towards untying Sakura, he immediately felt the first guy getting back to his feet and charged right towards him. When he got too close to Ken, the latter turned around, raised his left leg above his waist, and kicked the target in the stomach. That caused the offender to be pushed back more than a few feet, causing him to be knocked down again.

To avenge his buddy, the second culprit hurriedly got up in his place and charged in the opposite direction not too long after the first one went lying on the ground. Mori Ken immediately rotated his body at a 90-degree angle and made a powerful sidekick and hit the target in the face that sent him flying towards his accomplice.

"Looks like you're tired already. Care for another round?" Ken took a few steps forward to his targets and switched to his fighting stance once again as a form of challenging them again in another duel.

The other two quickly shook their heads in response and cried out, "No, please. We're sorry for what we've done!"

Just as Mori Ken heard the faint sound of the police cars driving straight towards here, he glared at the two goons once more with a sly smirk that appeared on the corner of his lips.

"Now get your asses out of here before I could kill both of you right here and then!"

When they refused to get up, Ken slightly lifted his leg to scare these goons away which took effect immediately and made them rise up to their feet as soon as possible. Soon, both of them are now gone from the establishment, making Sakura sighed in relief.

Getting back to his main agenda here, Mori Ken soon turned around and walked back to where Sakura is currently tied to a chair and immediately loosened up the ropes that bind her arms and immediately knelt down to deal with the ropes that were tied in her legs afterward.

To Sakura, she felt as if time itself slowed down at the moment when Ken was doing all of that. She would never have imagined that the guy who acted like she never existed during their sixth grade onwards would be her savior for the night. Tears that were already swelling in the corners of her eyes started rolling down her cheeks as she watched her savior untie her legs in front of her.

And here Sakura said that she would never show her weakness to anyone earlier! She can't help but curse herself at the back of her head.

Once finished, Mori Ken held the girl in both arms and made a sympathetic face as he met her gaze. Under the moonlight, Sakura's eyes glistened with tears.

"Sorry…" he crooned, almost in a whisper. "I'm late."
