53 Are Those From Yamamoto?

Hayashi Sakura was still overwhelmed with thoughts from their previous text conversation with her mother a while ago that she kept on tripping on her way to her first-period class. And here she said the other day that she will lessen being an overthinker starting that day!

Sakura pursed his lips together and tried to calm herself down.

Ryuuji, that bastard, only showed up to her mother once alright. Now, what's the big deal about it? Why should Sakura make a fuss about it? It's not like she hasn't moved on from him already, geez.

However, what if that bastard told her mother the truth about their real relationship?

But looking a bit closer at her mother's text message, it's not like she mentioned something about him being his ex, right? If her mother had already known about it, Sakura would have definitely been flooded with many text messages by her mother earlier and would have called and yelled at her for keeping such a secret from her.

Yes, yes… that's right! Therefore, Sakura concludes that her mother still has no idea what she has been up to during the last year of her high school.

When Sakura was finally convinced about this matter, she held her chin high and proceeded to walk towards their classroom. It's such a pleasure to know that the guy she was trying to avoid crossing paths with is not her classmate in her first-period class in Computer Software.

Even if Hayashi Sakura was grateful for not seeing Mori Ken during her first-period class, still… she glared at the desk placed on his left once that guy showed up during their third-period class together, which is Math.

Sakura has never hated Math before because it is one of her core strengths, but now she feels that she is beginning to hate the subject because of this guy.

And she would hate it even more when their teacher, Mrs. Kitamura, assigned pairs to do a weekly reporting next Tuesday.

"Hayashi Sakura and Mori Ken, I hereby assigned you for next week's weekly reporting. Your topic should focus on Quadratic Equations and its sub-topics under it."

After the teacher assigned the pair and their topic, Hayashi Sakura can't help but curse under her breath. Darn this teacher! She should be the one to discuss these matters and not her students!

And as if on cue, their classmates on that particular subject started whispering to one another regarding the pair.

---

"Eh? What is this? Why is our precious Ken always stuck with that ugly, low-class girl?"

"Yeah right! Poor Ken, he needs to endure dealing with mediocre people like her. It must have been tough on Ken's part.

"If I were that girl. I would feel ashamed by now for always clinging to our prince Ken like a leech. She's a gold digger alright!"

"She even tried to persuade our teacher to pair them up. That is simply disgusting and pathetic to me."

"She even forced Ken to join their pathetic club. Haha!"

---

"Silence!"

All the female students immediately zipped their mouths and pretended to be silent after listening to Mrs. Kitamura roar like an angry lion. Judging by her sweet appearance on the outside, you wouldn't guess that she was such a fierce lady on the inside.

"What's done is done." Mrs. Kitamura then looked at Hayashi Sakura and Mori Ken nonchalantly. "You two, I expect the best from you. Class dismissed."

Hayashi Sakura only swallowed the invisible lump that suddenly appeared inside her throat the moment she heard her teacher's words just now. Just… what was that all about?

In the end, Sakura can't do anything about it but only sigh in defeat. Then she secretly sneaks a glance in Ken's direction, who looks like he doesn't oppose their teacher's idea one bit.

After their teacher left the classroom, Ken was quickly surrounded by his fangirls while Sakura was getting busy stuffing her things inside her bag on her seat.

"Poor Ken, you must have hated being around with this ugly girl right here, correct?" says a blondie whose blush-on was overly applied on her face, making her look like someone who was slapped a hundred times just now.

"Yeah! She has been forcing you to be around her all the time, right? It must be tough on your part." said the other one standing beside the blush-on girl.

Sakura can't help but sneer secretly at her heart for these presumptuous girls who aren't good at anything but to spread fake news and assume things over without really relying on the truth.

Pathetic, aren't they?

Shaking her head disapprovingly, Sakura didn't wait for Ken to reply to their accusations and simply strapped her backpack behind her and started turning on her shoe to leave.

However, just as she was about to head for the door, Sakura was instantly rooted to her place the moment Ken started talking to his fangirls.

"No, you've got it all wrong…" Ken said in his most casual tone he can make. "In fact, I like being near around her all the time."

Sakura's eyes secretly widened while her back was facing Ken and her fangirls, who are now beginning to throw their sharpest looks in her direction.

What is this? What is this guy even saying? Does he want to attract more bullies to come in my way?

Just… Why does he have to make it more difficult on my part? Is this some kind of his act or something to confuse me?

If that's the case, then I will do everything that I can not fall for his schemes all over again! Probably Ryuuji had texted him to proceed to what they had already started back in their high school years.

While Sakura was still rooted on the ground, Ken had already started jogging his way towards her direction, making all the other girls jealous on their end. When Sakura hadn't reacted one bit, Ken tried to examine the girl next to her and instantly saw something that caught his attention.

"Those shoes…" Ken pointed out, causing Sakura to snap back to reality and almost flinched when she saw this guy already standing on her right.

Ken ignored her surprised reaction and continued staring at the black pair of shoes that Sakura is currently wearing that was paired with her black pleated above-the-knee skirt and her gray cardigan over a white cute top.

Pointing to Sakura's shoes, Ken added, "Are those from Yamamoto.... perhaps?"
