3 Is She There?

I needed to get to school fast, I needed to know if it was her. So I said " Mate lets go! We shouldn't be late on the first day of school."

He stared at me " When were you so excited to go to school? What's going on? Is it Emily? He asked.

"No" I exclaimed " I just want to start anew". "Since when?" He asked." Since now." I said. "Okay fine! Let's go!" He exclaimed.

We got into his new car and before driving he put on his new single.

"How is it?" He asked. "It's fantastic! How is band going ?"I asked. "It's absolutely amazing!" He exclaimed.

" Is it?" I asked. " It is. Did you know that we have loads of fun. It's just so cool to have a musical group you know. Rocking the stage. Don't you think it's awesome?" "That sounds epic!" I exclaimed.

"It surely feels like it." He said. The rest of the ride passed with companionable silence. I had known Johnah ever since first grade, from the moment he sat down next to me on the bus. We had been so close and we still are. We will always be.

We pulled up at the school's parking lot and I let out a relieved sigh, we were finally here. That is until I saw Emma Sails. I did not want to argue with her on the first day after break. I needed to find who was the new student, I told Johnah that we should stay here for a while.

He looked around and caught sight of Emma and he gave me a knowing looking. He started singing " Jacob and Emma sitting on a tree kissing". He sang loudly." Shut up!" I exclaimed. " Somebody's cranky. Man if you want to talk with her then just do it. Don't be a chicken." He said.

"I don't want to talk to her!" I yelled. Okay!! Okay!! He exclaimed. "Are you sure you don't want to talk to her bro." He enquired." Not in a million years!! If you want you go talk to her!! I shouted.

"You know I can't right she's your girlfriend. It would just feel so wrong, you guys are meant for each other". He teased.

''Johnah stop being such a pig you know I don't like her! I told you myself! You heard what she said about me yourself. What is your problem stop being such a prat." I shouted.

''Calm down mate. I'm sorry .'' He said. ''It's okay just never say that again, those words could literally ruin somebody's day. I'm serious!!'' I exclaimed. ''Okay bro, I get you! You just need somebody!'' He joked. ''Stop!!'' I shouted at the top of my voice this turned a few heads in our direction. ''Sorry''. He mumbled.

I felt bad for yelling at him but it had struck a nerve. He was right I needed someone, no I needed Grace. I needed to see her if I didn't I'm sure I would burst into a million pieces.

Great! Now I was acting like a sappy romantic. " All the things that are happening these days". I mumbled. "What was that I didn't quite catch it "Johnah mumbled. "Nothing" I yelled. He grinned.

"Let's go." I said. We got out of the car and walked to the entrance. I hesitated." Nervous?'' Somebody asked I turned around only to come face to face with a pretty girl I had never seen before. To me she was an epitome of perfection or that was what I felt then. I felt no connection towards her though, she couldn't be my soulmate then could she?

There was only one thing to do, to find out what her name was it was my only chance. Before I could I was interrupted by Johnah. He said " Aren't you looking fine today? My day was dark until I met you sunshine." I was mortified, he winked too. Johnah never winked at girls, either did he spout out cheesy pick up lines. What was going on here. My train of thought was interrupted by her.

   "My aren't you a fine man. So romantic, I bet noble too. Quite a looker too." She said to Johnah. He said. "My name's Johnah, what's your name beautiful?". She responded with" Johnah ,what a name, suits a handsome gentleman just like you. My name's Anasteshia." I was gobsmacked, I had to end this. Before I could I heard the most sweetest voice in the world. The voice said" Anasteshia that's enough. You have traumatized him enough!"

Anasteshia said" Oh Grace stop being a spoilsport. Loosen up. There's tons of people to have our way with." I zoned out Grace, she was here or was she?
