10 Chpt #10 - Hiding the truth

Nancy came to work as per normal and trying her best to hide and be away from Mr Gu.

She was in deep thoughts while waiting for the lift and she keep bitting on the straw from her coffee cup.

"Morning Nancy" Desmond greeted her.

"Oh…morning" Nancy dispiritedly greeted back without even turning around.

"What kind of attitude is this? Is this how you greet people?" Ryan suddenly flares out

Nancy turns and was shocked to see Ryan. She keeps starring at him in disbelief for a good 2 minutes.

"Are you done starring? Aren't you taking the lift?" Ryan walks straight to the lift and Nancy follows from the back.

In the office, the team cheerfully greeted Mr Gu and both Ryan and Desmond was shocked to hear.

Both of them quickly enters Ryan's office.

"What is going on? Why is everyone being so weird today?" Ryan asked with full of curiosity.

"I'm going to find out why now" Desmond heads out and trying to fish out some information from the team.

Desmond pretended to be nice and bought everyone breakfast and asking them to take a break before starting the hectic work day.

As everyone was gossiping about Mr Gu, Desmond pops in curiosity as well.

Anna, who is the queen of gossips showed Desmond a photo of Mr Gu as Randy. After knowing the truth, he remains calm and heads of to Ryan's office.

"I think you're exposed!" Desmond ran and whispered to Ryan.

They didn't know that Nancy saw the picture and they continue to pretend that Randy is a different person and thinking that those gossips will fade off.

During work, Nancy pretended to be extra busy just to avoid eye contact with Ryan. And the day just passed with no conversation with one another.

Nancy even took hours to just reply to Randy's messages. Her only reply was "sorry I'm busy at the moment."
