21 Cleanfreak Prince.

Another Sunday full of laughter, another peaceful day surrounded by these innocent children. After spending several hours playing with them, I give each of them hugs and little gifts as usual. Their gentle smiles always warm my heart as they chant thank you.

Seeing these kids remind me of myself. Although I had my mother, we were both abandoned by my father's side of the family, and mother never talked about her family. Every time I asked her, she would avoid answering it, and so I never probed further.

Many of these children were either abandoned, abused, or put into the system after their parent's death, and "Heart Orphanage" is the only home they know. This place has more than 200 children, and they hardly make ends meet. Not many people donate to Orphanages, but I would assume these children are the lucky ones among other orphans. Some end up on the streets, some in cruel families or some in an orphanage with mean sisters, but what can they do other than to grow up as quickly as possible and improve their lives.

I whisper words of courage to 10 or so children who run up to me.

"Be good."

"Always stay positive."

"I believe in you all."

"Always work harder….."

They all listen to me and obediently nod their heads before happily jumping away.

"Sister Mary."

I call out as I search for her.

She is the senior sister in her early 60's. She was one of the founders of this Orphanage when she was only just in her 20's, and since then, she has dedicated her life to this Orphanage.

I head towards the back of the room to say my farewell but fail to find her.

"Oh, Hayley. Sister Mary's in her office, dealing with paperwork."

Sister Sam informs me.

To not disturb Sister Mary's work, I decide to leave without seeing her.

"Please let her know I'll be leaving now, and I'll be here again next week."

I tell Sister Sam and head home.

"Bye Everyone. Be good; I'll be back next week."

I shout out towards the children while walking towards the exit door.

They all run towards me in a hurdle and give me a big warm group hug to which I hug them back.

Outside, my taxi had already arrived. I checked my phone to see there were still 5mins left. I thanked the driver for coming five or more minutes early and sat in the back.

"Don't worry, Miss. I know your Sunday schedule."

He cheekily says and starts the engine.

He is a young man in his mid 20's. He was also an orphan who grew up in "Heart's Orphanage," but he always refuses to visit inside, but he always ends up being my taxi driver when I visit this place. I still don't know the reason why he doesn't want to visit, and I don't plan to ask him.

After all, we are just strangers.

*

"Father Joseph! Sister Sam! Sister Neelam! Brother Albert! Sister Roma! Sister…."

Sister Mary Excitedly calls out everyone inside her tiny office.

Everyone files inside to see Sister Mary staring at the computer screen with her mouth open and eyes wide in shock.

"What's the matter?" Father Joseph speaks first and manages to get her out of her state of shock.

"Come, have a look." Sister Mary beckoned everyone over to the computer screen.

It was open to a page that showed their Orphanage had just received a donation of One million dollars from Hayley Sertori. The girl that comes to visit the children every Sunday, the one everyone had thought was poor herself.

Could she secretly be the daughter of someone rich? She was definitely unlike the rest. Respect and appreciation for Hayley grew in everyone's heart. She was always respectful, kind, and never acted like most of those petty rich young girls.

All the brothers and sisters seem to possess the same thought about Hayley, and the ones who didn't like her as much before seem to have melted their hearts for her.

"She is a diamond. I knew she would be someone with an elegant background."

Sister Sam finally broke their silence, and everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

"We do somehow need to show Miss Hayley our gratitude." Father Joseph spoke to which everyone else agreed.

*

"Thanks," I say to the young driver and hand him the money.

"See you when I see you again." He replies before driving away towards his next passenger.

"Rebecca, are you home?"

I call out to her as I enter the apartment, but just silence answers me.

She must have gone shopping as usual.

I close the front door and grab a bag of potato chips and a glass of cold drink. I sit on the sofa and turn the T.V on; it flips to the news channel.

It's all filled with Prince Elijah's new business model, his trips, Kole and his secret girl, royal family news, and so on.

"Ting!"

I look down at my phone to see a text from an unknown number. I reluctantly opened it to find my heart beating out of my chest.

"Miss Hayley, this is Elijah. Save my number."

It was a short text but enough. I imagined it with his authoritative voice and laughed a little.

"Hello, Prince Elijah. How did you get my number?"

I press send and immediately get a response back.

"I have my ways." I knew he would say something like this.

"What way..?"

I quickly delete my text on the realization of how forgetful I had become. Of Course, he would know, he will be my Boss starting tomorrow.

I think of something smart to reply with but come up with nothing, so I send him another simple text.

"I'm looking forward to work tomorrow." I press send.

I wait for his reply, but this time it doesn't come.

1minute.

2 minutes.

3 minutes

4 min…

I give up waiting for his reply and docs my attention on the T.V. I switch to multiple different channels and find no good show currently being played. Instead, I click on the Netflix app and continue watching "Eternal Love ep 22".

I bawled my eyes out in the next episode from thereon. I cried for "Su Su. How could Ye Hao take her eyes and give it to that evil woman!" Even though he did it for her, it still hurt and I felt it on a personal level.

I continued waiting for several more episodes with my eyes all red and puffy til Rebecca arrived with a handful of shopping bags.

"Hayls! What's wrong?"

Rebecca dropped her bags on the floor and quickly ran up to me.

"Prince Kole?"

"Sky?"

She asked hastily.

"Hahah, no.."

"Why are your eyes red?"

"Look at the TV." I tell her, and she makes the "Oh" sound before picking up her bag and walking upstairs towards her room.

"I knew that haha." She says on her way up.

I turn the TV off and recheck my phone. Excitement fills me up after seeing another notification from Prince Elijah.

"I'll see you tomorrow. Remember to bring the best you."

I smile at his text. He didn't realize just how much these simple words from a boss to an employee would mean.

"I'll do my best!"

I reply.

I then notice I haven't saved his number, so I proceed to do so. I named him in my contact as "Cleanfreak Prince."

Knowing that he'll never see this name in my contact.
