Prologue

Maddie POV

I woke up, alone in bed when I can't see albert anywhere maybe he's outside. I stand up and fixed myself then I moved the curtains and open the window. The view that makes the city beautiful but it's more perfect going to the beach. I can hear some people singing and jamming at the beach

The night life in the beach is one of my favorites and something memorable that I always want to keep because I'm with someone I loved

As the sun goes down slowly, I see no waves fill in the water

I come to the beach, the sea is blue and clear

As I touch the water again, a little white wave started to flow that comes running towards my hand

I feel the warm breeze as it run to my skin

I heard his voice calling me, which made my heart flatter once more

I can see his bright smile, each day would make me happy

He is waving at me as I ran to him calling his name

"Albert" I called him. He's been waiting for me and walks toward him. I want this day to take for a while as time will take it slowly and tick for bit backward

"You've been waiting for me?" he asked me with excitement tone and smile brightly. Then I hugged him and kissed me on the forehead.

"The sunset is so beautiful"

"What is your dream, Maddie?" he suddenly asked

"Dream?"

"Yes, your dream? Because we're almost preparing for our future, and I know you have a dream" that made me and it's true preparing for our future, but we don't know what will happen for the next 5 years and it won't tell us what will the next thing we have in mind? Either we get married and build our own company. If 5 years later happen, I still want to be with you and make our future together, that all matters to me

"Let me ask you the same question before I give my answer"

"What is your dream, Albert?" I asked

"I don't have any other dream but loving you is the greatest thing I achieve in my life that I promise to myself that I'll protect you no matter what happens. I'll never leave your side and we're going to have happy family. I know we're still young but as do it together in the future then everything will be fine and just trust me" he said and I truly trust him with that because I know what he can do and what I can do so both of us can build our bright future together

"So now give me an answer maddie because I want to hear it"

My dream? I don't know what it is, but this is the only thing I said "My dream is you"

"Why me?"

"Because you help me build my own happiness and that's it you" he smiled and kissed me in the forehead.

"Actually, my dream will never be complete without you in it" I said with a shy tone then suddenly blush

He held my hand and walking down on the smooth sand of the beach while holding my hands. Saying that "You will always be the one that I'm going to love until I die"

I felt the sincerity in his heart that made me fall in love with him "I will always love you albert"

"When we get married, we should have beach wedding Maddie" we've been 8 years together now

"Albert, do you still remember the day when we first met?" I asked him and he looked at me

"Yes of course, I bumped to you, but you didn't mind you were so quite then I help you pick up your books then I find you polite and sweet because you smile at me that time" that made me smile

"You have so many suitors back then, I'm also one of them, but what makes me happy is you choose me and I'm always grateful that you love which I didn't regret of loving you too" he really knows how to make a woman heart fluttered

"Am I really the only woman you loved?" I asked because I want to tease him, but he just kissed me

"Yes, of course Maddie, why do you ask?" he is always calm when he talks to me and I'm so lucky to have him

"Because you really know how to make a woman's heart flutter" then he just laughed at me which made me feel sad. Why did he laugh? Did he date someone already before me?

"You're the only woman that I've loved all these years and I always want to make you smile, laugh, happy and make your heart fluttered" well it's true, he doesn't make me feel jealous of anything. That is why I don't doubt him that much

"This place will always be our favorite spot"

We're so happy yet but why do I feel like this moment keep me hanging and waiting? Why do I feel sad when I should be smiling when I'm with him? Am I anxious that our love will be gone? or Am I waiting for him to give me an answer that I want to hear?

We were a perfect couple until then unknown reason made me feel doubt about him because he's lying to me when he told me the reason

I noticed him acting so weird lately that made me want to know what's keep bothering him

"Albert, is there something that bothering you?" that made me feel worried and act like nothing really is going but he keeps a lot of things on me

"How long are you going to lie to me albert?" that's the only thing that came out of my mind because I know something is bothering him when everytime I asked him a question that he would avoid and talk another topic. I don't want to ruin this day but it keeps bothering me of something that I shouldn't be worrying about because it might really happen if I think more about it

"What are you thinking right now?"

He didn't answer it but instead he hugged me "What makes you think that way? But don't worry because I'm thinking about our marriage and honeymoon" that made me blush and kissed him

"No need to worry, I'm fine" he said but his eyes look away from me and avoided mine

Why do I feel uneasy about this? Maybe I won't let it bother me "Are you sure?"

"Yes, it's nothing. I don't want you to worry about something maddie. I'm just thinking about the moment we have"

He just smiled at me which he already made an excuse that something made me feel furious and he keep looking around as if someone chasing him

"Nothing maddie" That smile, I knew he is hiding something from me that fear me the most

"Albert, you're acting so weird lately. Are you hiding something from me that I should know?" I asked because this make me look lost at the same time uneasy.

"Just wait here, I'll buy something" he stand up and left hurriedly

My phone ring "8th Anniversary" and I almost forgot to tell him. What taking him so long? I went to look for him and trying to call his phone

"Hello, maddie" he said with a calm tone. I thought something bad happened to him that made me worry

"Where are y..." when I saw him already at a shop. I end the call when I'm about to call him but he is with someone

When I saw the guy with him which made my heart ache which I don't know why I'm acting like this and suddenly feel pain like my heart been thorn into pieces

"Al..Alb...Albert..." he couldn't hear me. Why do I feel so weak? "Albert!" until he hears me then I saw him running towards me

He hold me tightly "Madeline, are you alright?" he asked and feel worried

"So you've been protecting her that you shouldn't have and removed her memories so that she couldn't remember yet you changed your name. Nicholas, you're goi...."

Nicholas?? What's going on? Why did he call him nicholas?

"You create fake name just to spend time with her and you don't know you been using someone who just look like you"

"Nikko Johnson is the real name of the man and you been using his body for almost three years. You don't even know what the consequences and you will be really want to lose everything just to protect her"

What is he talking about? Please make me understand the situation right now like I don't even exist here.

What are they wearing? They look like from another world and these guys is wearing soldier outfit like in a movie guarding a kingdom

"Not because she looks the same as her, it doesn't mean you're going to stay here Nicholas"

"I can't live without her, you know I love her"

"You don't know what just happened to you when she trie…."

"I said, stop it Arthur"

"Your life became...."

I couldn't understand what they're talking about and why do he keep calling him by the name nicholas?

And now, nikko johnson? I just don't get it and whom I talking to

"I told you to leave her alone!" this is the first time I saw him getting mad

"Nicholas, she's not someone that you can't love and you don't know how your life put in danger when she has been cursed by her"

"Just shut your mouth arthur!"

"Nicholas, she almost killed you!" "Please!" I can see in his eyes the pain

"I have no choice but to do so"

"Don't you even da.."

The arthur grabbed me which made me shocked and strangled me tightly

I couldn't breathe when albert fought with him and that arthur suddenly let go of me "Al..bert" I try to stand up when two man with armor hold me

"Albert!" I suddenly cry because my heart feels like been squash

"Nicholas, she will bring destruction in our ki...." "Please, just leave madeline alone" I can't see clearly

"She will kill you!"

"Shut up arthur! Don't you even dare touch my woman!" he is mad, and his eyes seems that he wants to kill him because the madness he is feeling right now and I clearly see in him that he talks like a king who needs to protect someone he loves

"She can't be, do you want our ki...."

"She is the qu...." "No she can't be. I've been protecting you nicholas and your happiness shouldn't be in hurdle"

"It is not fo..."

"You shouldn't have been like this, but when you met her again in this world, you've changed which cause everything again and you don't know what the fates hold"

"I said shut your mouth!"

"I'm afraid you'll have to face the consequences"

Consequences?? Albert, please tell what's happening?

The time that made me scared when he couldn't tell me anything

The guy pulls out an arrow which is about to be shoot towards me when albert block it

"Albert!" "Are you alright?" he asked when I should be the one asking that to him

Tears started to fall, and my chest feel heavy

I hold him tight, but I saw him bleeding "Albert, we should go to...." when he stopped me

Another arrow shot at him "Please stop it!" "Stay away from her! She's my woman!" he shouted

"I told you, you're going to face the consequences. In the first place, I still remember that day she took the consequences died in front of you which made you kil...." He fought again but this time he was about to kill the Arthur

"I said shut your mouth!"

"She almost killed you! I'm just pro.."

"ARTHUR! I SAID STOP IT" all I can in his eyes is madness and darkness

I feel something heavy as my heart feel weak when I hold to my chest

"Albert" I said and approached me "Hold on madeline, I'll sav..." when two arrows has been shot on his back by just protecting me to get hurt. I can see in that arthur eyes that he wants to approach albert

Did he just call me someone else name? And who's madeline?

"Please! Stop it!!" I said when he bleeds too much

"Please don't talk I'll call an ambul..." he holds my hand and cough when the bleeding can't stop

"Maddie" "Please albert, don't talk!" when my tears can't stop falling and I don't know what to do

"This time you saved her than yourself" the arthur said and I don't know what to do

"Please please save him, I'll d..."

"Madeline" "Please! let me save you!" I cry out loud

"Do me a favor" he said and cough with blood

"Albert, please" "I want you to be happy" I try to stop the bleeding, but I can't

"Happy Anniversary, I love you maddie" he hugged me for the last time and look me in the eyes

"Now ..." *coughed. Can't he just stop talking! Please

"Now you must remember only the good memories you have and it's time for you to forget me" "No!" I spoke

"Albert, don't say that and stop talking. I beg you because I'm goin...." My heart feels so heavy, and my head suddenly hurts

"Even if you lose all your memories, I will find you over and over. Hey, we'll meet again at the very first moment that it will bring us back together." please, don't leave me

"Madeline, promise me you will wait for me even it takes a long time for you to remember me" stop saying that please, I'm begging you and I can't stop crying the pain that fill my heart

"I'll promise to come back to you and wait for me till we meet again I'm going to protect you even you don't remember me" then a blood came out to his mouth and spout because he keeps talking

"Albert, please stop and I'll promise to save you" I begged him, but he is just holding my hand

"I will come back to you and promise I'll never leave your side no matter what happen to us"

That's the last thing he said to me until I see myself laying down on the bed and tears started to fall with unknown thoughts that my heart started to feel broken and devastated
