But let me pause and introduce myself, my name is Shenell R. Saunders, and I am 23 years of age, I am a successful pilot hence why I am in a office. Don't laugh but my height is 5"3. I am Caribbean and yes I am dark skinned, further into the book you will know what Caribbean country I am from and a little more about me.

I got up the next morning and did my makeup.

"Nope" I said to myself and rubbed it off. From now on I give people the real me. I then got dressed for work and headed out.

To start my morning off well I went to my favorite coffee shop. I bought donuts along with my coffee. The ones with the white smooth top and the broad chocolate lines in it. My taste buds were trilled to feel the tenderness of the sugary dough underneath it make my body feel miraculous in a way I could never imagine. I laughed to myself "was I just hungry or are donuts really that good?" and just shrugged. I ordered two more and a french vanilla coffee and left.

I believe I started off my day pretty well and I thought about how to make it better. I sat at my office thinking about what others do when in my situation. I looked at my monitor screen to see my reflection, and I looked like something ran over me. I let my gaze off the monitor when turning on my CPU and saw how my hands were trembling and the the blood soaking through the wraps. I took a deep breathe and proceeded, and that's when my door opened and I jumped. When I saw who I calmed down.

"Good morning miss Saunders, I would like to introduce you to your assistant" I cut him off "assistant for?"

"If you didn't interrupt you would have found out" he shrugged. He went on "he has been a co-pilot since 2018 in South Carolina and has moved to our state a week ago and is now joining our team, well your team, so he is your assistant and co-pilot in one" and he left with that, leaving the child at my door.

I look at him, I observed everything about him, he shoulders were broad, he definitely talker than me but has a baby face. I judged him too early but i didn't care. " my name is Carter Crews" i put my finger up to signal for him to stop and I called the front desk.

"Hello, is Kate there?"

"No she is suppose be on her way up to you now"

"Okay thanks"

I looked up on the child and asked him to proceed

"I am 19 years old " I stopped him and ask him to take a seat. How can a co-pilot that started working from 2018 be 19 in 2021. So many questions rushed through my mind.

"How is that possible, when did you start training, when did you officially became an pilot and do you have a copy of you qualification?" He stared at me "no, i dont, because Mr. Sutherland said it wouldn't be a problem so i didn't carry it."

*Door opens*

"Hey, im on break" kate just barged in without a knock.

"Sup"

"Good day" he said to her upon turning around to see who it was.

"Can you give us a moment, please" I said to him and he left

Kate and I basically talked about my situation and we gossip a little. Later carter came back and I insisted on seeing his profile.

My ontime taxi was running a bit late so I decided to leave the compound and go to the bus stop and wait.I waited for a while and I was getting irritated and then I decided to do something about it.

I started to walk to the bus station so I could get home. 30 minutes of walking in heels is not an option and I wasnt in my uniform, just work clothes so I took off my shoes I started up the road. I started to think about my safety after a while but i was focused on reaching home and as the topic came up, I came up to a bus stop where a black honda parked up with the 2 doors that are facing the bus top open and 2 men were sitting in the car while another was standing under the shed talking and laughing. I step out in the road to avoid walking through the conversation.

"Yo shordy "

I didn't turn around.

" you dont have to keep your head straight, you could just say hi" I still didn't turn around. I walked faster and decided to take a short cut. It was dark but is was either I take the alley or the woods and I turned for the alley. I turned back and to the forest because it had more light. I gulped before entering.

Walking through it I heard twigs break, weird sounds but I know I was just freaking out. I pick up my speed when suddenly something ran pass me. The breeze was so strong and the way it passed I couldn't even recognize what it was. I never looked back I started to run, not caring what is was I just needed to get home.

I fell over a broken tree branch and I spent no time on the ground. I got back up was off. I approach a road not knowing if I should go up or down. I was getting dark and regretting now waiting at the bus stop. I was in the middle of the road looking lost when a heard a growl behind me. I didn't even take a glimpse i just ran off the road and through the forest and what ever it was it wasnt leaving me be. I picked up my speed by it wasnt enough. I felt my hair being dragged and thats when I hit the ground, landing on my back. I rolled over and suddenly felt its presence near me. I closed my eyes I pretended that I was dead. I had no choice. I waited for a while and didn't hear or feel anything and decided to take a look. I turned my head regretting it, as it was forced back around. My back ached in pain, my shoulders being drained of blood, my body shivering at the feeling. I cried out as tear started on my face. All I could do was cry, even though it left. I didn't want to see what was happening to my body i couldn't look so I just stayed there.
