CHAPTER XVI: Who Is She?

According to Saph, almost two years have passed since Olivia and Cameron had broken up. I want to know the reason why but I'm afraid that I might look like an unreasonable girlfriend. I also didn't bother asking Sapphire because I want the answer to come from Cameron's mouth.

It is still bothering me though.

"Sweetheart, what are you thinking?"

I was startled when I heard Cameron's voice. We are here at a park nearby since we have a one hour vacant.

"N-Nothing." I tried to smile to hide my uneasiness and fortunately, it worked on him. He just smiled at ruffled my hair and he never asked again.

Maybe he thought that it was actually nothing since we're together these past few days due to many vacant and free cuts. It was because the school is busy preparing for the intramural sports that will be held next month.

I literally don't know what approach I would do when I can finally ask him about what's bothering me.

We're now at the café where we usually eat. All eyes turned on us when we walked in earlier and when Cameron pulled out the chair for me, the girls are giving me glares.

I mean, why is I such a big deal to them? It's just normal for us especially that we are in a relationship. Can't we just do things freely without them eyeing us every time?

"Hey, don't mind them." Cameron said when he noticed my uneasiness. I just gave him a smile to assure him that I'm fine.

"It seems like you are little bit off today." he started. My eyes widened at his question. I thought he didn't noticed it earlier because he didn't asked again!

"N-No. Why would I be?" I laughed awkwardly.

"You're not on your usual self." He said nonchalantly.

Huh?

"What do you mean?" my eyebrows creased. He just shrugged his shoulders. Gosh! I can't even get a proper answer!

"Excuse me, Ma'am, Sir."

Thankfully, our food is served right where the tension between us is starting to build up.

We ate silently. It's a little bit awkward because I am used to us eating while chatting with each other.

When we finished, I figured out that I should start the conversation since he isn't talking.

"What do you mean earlier?"

He just snorted.

"What? Hey, what really is your problem? You kept on giving me attitude." I rolled my eye at him.

"Blaire, I don't know. Have I done something wrong? Did I do something bad that I'm not aware of?" he asked. What? He thinks he is the problem here?

"No! You haven't done anything bad okay?" I smiled reassuringly at him.

"Then why are you acting like that? It's bothering me. It's just me you have been with these past few days." He sounded like a lost puppy.

"What? How can you think of that?" I laughed.

Well, he's funny. If I'm not in my mood, he usually tell things to me like have he done something wrong or have he done something that I don't like.

"It's not you Cameron, it's the movie I watched at the other day. The movie was sad." I chuckled so that he wouldn't notice that I'm not telling the truth.

"What movie is it?" he narrowed his eyes at me.

"Midnight Sun." I smiled.

I know lots of romantic movies because binge watching movies is what I do when I'm bored. I did not watch any movies these past few days. I just made up my answer to him so he wouldn't doubt me.

Seriously, why can't I find the right time to ask the questions I had in my mind.

Our professor is at the front, discussing things related to our subject while I'm here at the farthest row together with the gang, just looking out the window and not paying attention to our subject teacher.

Am I a bad student now?

An idea popped on my mind. Why not ask the boys when I can't make Sapphire talk, right?

I smirked at my own thought.

So, I quickly ripped a piece of paper and wrote the thing that I want to ask.

This is the only way we could communicate without getting caught. We just need to be very careful about it.

Who is Olivia? – Blaire

I passed it to Aspen who is just beside me then I motioned him to hand it to the others also. They just look at me with a questioningly face.

Aspen soon handed me back the paper.

Olivia who? – Damon

I mentally rolled my eyes. Damon's eyes and ears are especially active when talking about girls. I ripped out another piece of paper. A much bigger one so that we could write without any limits.

I think she is Cameron's ex-girlfriend. – Blaire

Once again, I passed it to Aspen. He knows what to do with it. So we just exchanged notes.

Oh, Olivia Jones? – Maddox

As I have thought, they knew her.

What do you know about her? – Blaire.

She is fair-skinned, with small eyes, and a plump lips. – Stephen

Oh they know the important details, huh. I think Olivia's pretty.

How did you guys meet her? – Blaire

Through gatherings like welcome parties. She monthly hosts one and we're always invited. Stephen doesn't go though. – Aspen

Typical Stephen. He hates anything loud. Especially parties.

What is she like as Cameron's girlfriend? – Blaire

Sweet. Always posting pictures with Cameron. She's very open about their relationship in public. – Aspen

I'm sure they're very sweet. I felt a pang in my chest when he mentioned that Olivia is very open about it.

I can't be open to the public. They will just judge me and Cameron. I'm not ashamed of what we have but I don't want any issues again. I'm tired of it.

What else? – Blaire

Why are you curious? – Aspen

Nothing. Just want to know. – Blaire

Really? – Maddox

Ugh. Can't they just answer my questions? It's really hard to squeeze out information from them. They always have a lot of questions.

I just heard that she will be coming back. From where? – Blaire

From Australia. Their family moved there. Is it true that she will be back? I must prepare outfits for partying! – Damon.

Australia. That's far. Maybe that was one of the reasons why they have broken up. Because they can't stand long distance relationship? I don't know. I'm more intrigued right now.

What else do you know? You guys seemed to have a lot of information. – Blaire

Curiosity kills the cat, Blaire. You seemed to be very interested about it. Ah! You're jelous. – Stephen

No, I'm not. I'm just intrigued. – Blaire

Intrigued, curious, it's just the same. – Stephen.

He's using his wisdom over me. I hate it!

Just want to know, why did they broke up? – Blaire

I'm hoping that they would give me a proper answer. Geez. We're wasting paper here. I just need them to answer the last question then I'll be cool.

Didn't Cameron told it to you? – Damon

Nope. Didn't asked him though. - Blaire

You should ask your boyfriend, Blaire. You two are in a relationship. You must be open to him and he should do the same to you. You should trust each other. When something is bothering you, you should tell your lover first. – Maddox

I sighed.

It looks like I'm left with no choice but to ask Cameron.

Geez. Why did I even waste my paper on them even though I know that there is only a small chance that they would feed me with information regarding on what I asked.
