Chapter 1 - Star dreams

February 13, 2000.

Cheng Xian and Xueer are in their second year together.

National University of Singapore - Outside the Department of Business.

4 pm.

"Ah! Today's class is finally over! I'm so exhausted." Xue'er said.

"Why are you so tired? It's Valentine's Day tomorrow. Aren't you impatiently waiting for someone to pick you up?" Yang'er asked.

"Sister! What are you saying?! Did you come to the Business Department specifically to find me?" Xueer asked back.

"No! I just went to the Department of Medicine to find Steven, so I came to you.I heard that your boyfriend will graduate next year. You still have two more years to finish your studies. Will you miss him?" Yang'er asked.

"What are you thinking about?!" Xueer asked angrily.

"Oh! If you want someone, get married as soon as possible! You have been together for almost three years." Yanger replied loudly.

Chengxian saw them in the distance...

"Xue'er! Xue'er! I'm here!" Chengxian shouted.

"Oh my god! Such a big rose bouquet! How embarrassing!" Xueer said softly.

Chengxian ran over, hugged Xueer, and kissed her...

"Baby! Happy Valentine's Day!" Chengxian said happily.

"Dear Chengxian, happy Valentine's Day!" Xueer replied.

"Oh, you two are so disgusting." Yang'er said.

"Sister, your Steven is also behind me." Chengxian replied.

"I won't tell you anymore!" Yang'er said.

Yang'er ran away. Xueer and Cheng Xian got into the car.

Chengxian's car (BMW Z4) at 4:15 pm.

"Where are we going now?" Xue'er asked.

"I looked at your school curriculum, and you don't have classes this week. Now let's go to my house to pick up our luggage and go to Hokkaido for fun, okay?" Chengxian asked.

"You're here again! You arrange this kind of thing every Valentine's Day!" Xue'er replied angrily.

"This is called a surprise, baby!" Chengxian said with a smile.

Afterwards, they went home to get their luggage and passports.

In the Lee family mansion (Bukit Timah Villa).

It's half past four in the afternoon.

"Slowly pack your luggage. We are going to Hokkaido, remember to bring thick clothes and sweaters. Is your mother at home?" Chengxian asked.

"No one should be at home at this time. Come to my room and help me choose clothes." Xueer replied.

"Okay then." Chengxian said.

In Xue'er's room.

"What time is our flight?" Xueer asked.

"The flight is at 12 o'clock at night. We will arrive in Hokkaido around 8 o'clock on the morning of Valentine's Day. I booked a business class seat, which is more comfortable." Chengxian answered.

Afterwards, they left Li's mansion and went to Chengxian's home.

Chengxian Apartment (Bukit Timah Apartment).

5:30 in the evening.

Xueer was waiting for Chengxian in the living room while waiting for Chengxian to pack his luggage. She saw a notebook filled with their love history. She looked and cried.

Afterwards, she also saw an interpretation and singing competition from the Korean entertainment industry on the table. She saw many forms.

"Hey, why did he fill out half the form?" Xueer asked herself.

"Xue'er! I'm ready! We can set off." Chengxian said loudly.

Xueer took an empty form and put it in her purse.

"Okay! Got it." Xueer answered loudly.

They took a taxi to the airport. Along the way, Xueer kept thinking about that form.

Cheng Xian looked at her expression.

In the taxi. 6pm.

"Xue'er, what's wrong with you? Are you completely out of your mind?" Chengxian asked.

"It's okay. Maybe a little tired." Xue'er replied.

"Then you lie on my shoulders and sleep for a while. When we arrive, I'll wake you up." Chengxian said.

Xueer nodded.

"My baby seems to be in good spirits. What do you want to eat? Can I help you get it?" Chengxian asked.

"I want a bowl of mushroom soup and grilled chicken steak." Xueer replied.

"Then the same goes for me. Thank you," Chengxian said.

"Okay, thank you both." The waiter replied.

"Are you going to the airport shopping mall to buy something later?" Chengxian asked.

"I won't buy it. There are more things to buy in Hokkaido. I brought a credit card and some cash. I changed it when I go to Hokkaido." Xueer answered.

Chengxian kissed Xueer...

"I obey you! My dear wife," Chengxian said.

"Oh, if I let Chengxian participate in that competition, I'm afraid there won't be these sweet days in the future. And if he really became a star, he wouldn't be able to get married so soon." Xueer said sadly to herself .

"What's wrong? What are you thinking about that makes you so entranced?" Chengxian asked.

"Chengxian, I have something to ask you." Xueer answered.

"Sir, miss, your soup is here," the waiter said.

"Eat first." Chengxian replied.

After they finished eating, they chatted in the lounge for a few hours and then walked to the flight gate.

On the ANA flight. 11:45pm.

"Mr. Song, Miss Mi, what would you like to drink?" the stewardess asked.

"Give me a glass of red wine, and my girlfriend wants apple juice." Chengxian replied.

"Okay, Mr. Song." the stewardess said.

"Chengxian, I'm going to the toilet." Xueer answered.

In the toilet, Xueer heard some stewardesses chatting outside.

"Hey, Nancy, you are so lucky! You can serve that handsome Korean master, Song Chengxian! He is my prince charming! If he becomes a star, I will definitely support him!" Christy said loudly.

"Don't be so loud! This time he is taking his girlfriend, Xueer, with him to Hokkaido." Nancy replied softly.

"Really! Really! I'll go and see her later! I've never seen her before. I heard that she is also from a rich family! Her mother is lawyer Li Bingbing, and her father is the owner of Michael's chain seafood restaurant in Busan. Wow, it's really A perfect match. Song Chengxian's parents are one of the top five Korean overseas Chinese business groups. I'm so envious!" Christy said loudly.

Just then, Xueer came out of the toilet. Xueer stared at them.

"Xue'er, why is your face so dark!?" Chengxian asked anxiously.

"Nothing! I encountered some stormy butterflies!" Xue'er replied angrily.

"Oh, that should be the stewardess Christy. I sometimes see her at the airport when I fly back to Korea." Chengxian said.

"No wonder!" Xue'er replied.

"Hey, honey, don't be angry. You also know that I am famous for these things." Chengxian said.

"Let go of your hand! I'm not interested in knowing!" Xue'er replied angrily.

"Okay, okay! Don't be angry. Just kidding, they are the ones talking to me, I have no interest in them at all." Chengxian said.

"Stop talking! I want to sleep. Leave me alone!" Xueer replied angrily.

The next morning they arrived at Hokkaido-Chitose Airport

8:30 in the morning.

They had breakfast at the airport cafe.

In the cafe.

"What do you want to eat? I'll buy it for you." Chengxian said.

"I want a breakfast set." Xueer replied.

Afterwards, Chengxian went to line up to buy breakfast.

"Hello, Miss Mi! My name is Christy. You should be Master Song's girlfriend. I heard that you two are first lovers. I'm so envious! When will you get married?" Christy asked.

Xueer is drinking a bottle of mineral water. She couldn't bear it anymore and sprayed mineral water on Christy's face...

"Damn you! What do you care about!?" Xueer asked angrily.

Chengxian ran over immediately...

"Xue'er, what's wrong with you?!" Chengxian asked anxiously.

"Christy, let's go." Nancy replied.

"You go buy your breakfast, I'm just angry!" Xueer said angrily.

After they finished breakfast, they pushed their luggage to the car rental company.

Ten o'clock in the morning.

"Okay, honey, don't be angry. I'll go in and get the car keys, and we'll go to the hotel to check in." Chengxian said.

Xueer remained silent in the car.

JR Sapporo Hotel Nikko - reception at 2pm.

They went through the check-in procedures and entered the room.

In the room.

"Let's take a nap first and then go out for dinner." Chengxian said.

"I have something to ask you before I go to bed. What is this!? Why didn't you tell me that you wanted to participate in this competition?!" Xueer asked angrily.

"This was introduced to me by a Korean friend in college. However, I have been considering about you and my parents. I knew you would object. So I didn't fill in half of the form." Cheng Xian replied.

"Okay, stop mentioning about it anymore. I go and take a shower. You take a nap first." Xueer said.
