20 I promise!

Just after three days of continuous contemplation, Subaru asked (coerced) the hospital staff to discharge her mother and let her get treated from home as beside from IV drip and contant monitoring , no other external health assistance was necessary and even something would had arised , Subaru was sure to handle it .

(A/N : She is just recovering her mana in an uncouncious state).

There were some specific reasons he wanted to take Sasha back home. First he knew, that Association already had saw his power and sooner or later will approach him.

Second, he was getting really frustated by the spies of certain clans and a particular person who often peeked on Subaru .

(A/N: There are other clans too who want Subaru as their heir or relative after the incident . )

Third, he didn't believed a single bit in anyone beside one person, so if he wanted to fly freely then he had to be assured about his mother's safety first.

After he stablised his mom back in the house , he returned back hospital , to get the belonging of his and Sasha's. Fubuki never questioned him as she knew , it was futile to argue Subaru at the moment and getting on the bad side of Subaru was the last thing she wanted , even she betrayed his trust she didn't cared because until he didn't made Fubuki his enemy, she was good.

Subaru was walking quietly in the hospital lobby toward the elevator when he felt the same presence, peeking at him.

"What do you want Ririka?" Subaru turned around before asking and glared toward the water dispenser where Ririka was hiding.

"I want you". Ririka unconsciously blurted out her inner desire, rather than hiding it with excuse as her self control seemed to loosen up after the incident.

"Not possible. Now don't tail me anymore". Subaru didn't wanted to engage with anything right now , so he turned around and was about to start walking again when Ririka teleported infront of him, without the mask on her face.

"I am not asking ". Her blue eyes shone brightly with taint of redness at the corner which meant she had cried some times ago for some reasons.

"You know the consequences of your action right? You already have seen what I can do, still want to test my patience?" Subaru replied calmly yet his voice sounded so cold that it might could made many people shiver in fret .

He wasn't trying to brag about his power ,he just wanted to get rid off her at the moment.

" Why? ".She grabbed Subaru's shirt and asked, not minding the glare she was recieving from Subaru.

" Why? Why? Why? Why do you hate me so much . Tell me what should I do to make you mine ? You already know, I love you . Then why you are throwing me away. " Her eyes started filling with tears again yet her voice didn't broke out and she still stared at Subaru with anger mixed with sorrow, filled eyes.

She already knew that Subaru was ignoring her all the time in the hospital and never approached her even she made her presence clear . She was in a chaos that made her broke the ceiling of resistance.

" Why do you ask... " Subaru grabbed her hand and pulled her in embrace.

There were barely any people in the corridor and whoever passed by, lowered their heads in embarrassment , with a sigh followed by .

"Listen , Momobami Ririka. I will tell you this once, so listen it carefully". By the sudden embrace, Ririka was surprised to the core as she was undoubtedly sure that after this confrontation, Subaru will hate her .

She closed her eyes and just hummed on Subaru's voice , not minding what was happening in the rest of the world. Right now she was above the heavens , and was ready to accept death without any regrets.

"One year. I am giving you one year . If you become strong enough to make even a scratch on me then I will date you but before that, don't approach or spy on me, and that goes for your agents and clan people too. If you disturb me before one year then forget our deal, and I will discard you from my life by any means I can ". He told her in a low voice , yet domainting one which a person could only agree to , and that's what Ririka did too.

" Hmm.. b-but please, can we meet only once in a week ? I promise to stay away from you but please don't disappear from my life for this long time ." Her voice was so innocent and feeble that it could have melted anyone who have heard it.

" Once in a month and I will contact you, got it?" She hummed after a lot of hesitation .

She wanted to spend every minute of her life with him but she knew , Subaru had the power to run away from her whenever he wanted , so agreeing to the proposal was her best and last option.

Subaru was about to break the embrace , when she tightened her grip on his shirt.

" Please let me stay for another minute. I promise i will leave after that". Subaru sighed and after retracting her hand from his chest , he pulled her more tightly in his embrace, erasing any space between them.

Existence of any reasoning inside her mind already evaporated as soon she felt the warmth of Subaru and dearly wanted to make this moment last forever. Her life felt fulfilled with just a hug . But for her , a mere hug showed that Subaru didn't hated her and was ready to accept her as she was.

At the end they kept on hugging for an hour until when Subaru threatened her to break his promise , which made her disappear in a second.

The words of Fubuki , made him realise that he was still a frog trapped inside a well .

'Now I don't have any restriction'. He got up and started searching his own house , which he already had traced a thousand times before .

He had a hunch that he might find something this time which he was never be able to find before. He started his search from his own room wherr Sasha was lying peacefully. He searched every corner of his room, but it was still the same.

He walked toward his mother's room and did the same thing. But it was futile , except for some candid photos of himself which was hidden under the secret cabinet of the wardrobe, he didn't found anything .

He searched the attic , bathroom and the store room but nothing was new.

'I think I overestimated you mom". Suddenly an idea popped inside his mind and he activated his sharingan and started searching the whole house again. When his eyes fell near the shoe rack , a visible smile formed on his lips .

".. or maybe I underestimated you".

After watching the surveillance footage of the warehouse several times the board people initiated their meeting .

The chaos due to the knight's massacre was the focal of the board right now so the one who killed one of them , obviously will attain attention.

"Any idea about his eyes?" Shigeo Matsumoto, the chairman of Association who barely raised his voice in meetings ,as he barely felt anything worthy of his attention, asked the rest of the board members.

No one answered back , as they didn't had any idea how a person's eyes colour and irises can change all of a sudden and help them enhancing their perception.

"You saw those blue flames right. And how he used airiel magic and water magic at the same time. He even can manipulate mana like playing with a toy and those assassin like movements were better than various high rankers ". Shigeo was as shocked as the people inside the room except for one.

No one would have belived if they were told that a person was able to handle three elements at the same time . But they had the evidence in hand and the person in question was able to kill the invader who easily slaughtered numerous of hunters and even a S rank hunter without breaking sweat. So beliveing the unbelievable fact was their only resort.

" She is in coma and before half an year, she won't get up. So before she wakes up , get him".

The one person who was only observing the whole meeting , spoke for the first time after all the people left the room. Only him and the chairman was now present inside .

" So what do you think , Ryuji kun ? " Shigeo asked Goto Ryuji who was sitting silently until now .

" Don't hurt him or Sasha might burn this whole association ". He chuckled before seriousness engulfed his voice.

" But if he doesn't agree to come under us then there is a high possiblity of him becoming a threat to the whole Japan , which we might have to get rid of , in the end."
