18 18. Broken

I remember that I had missed my period and I was really scared. I was refrained from leaving the house so it was a few days before Christmas and I had run out to get to the drugstore to get a pregnancy test.

It was my misfortune that as I had climbed back into my room from the window I was greeted by a very angry Denton who was about to hurt me once again demanding that I tell him where I had been. I was so afraid I had told the truth and he had demanded I took the test infront of him which had turned out to be positive.

That night they had come to my room demanding that I tell them who the father of the child was. I had told them it was Denton which made them very angry and thereafter the beatings had begun again as they had said that I was trying to trap him now that he had taken my virginity and that I had been running around with different guys ever since.

It was the day after Christmas and Milan had wanted to spend the entire day with the Smith's. Denton and Stacey demanded I come downstairs where they had told me I was to get an abortion or marry Denton but I had refused to do either causing them to beat me up.

Wesley had walked in and witnessed the beating and they had lied to him that I had been running around and I am pregnant and that I do not know who the father is.

On that very night I tried to take my life but I had been admitted to hospital discreetly by Wesley.

Two days after I was sent away to give birth to the child and my sister Milan was left behind they had made me write a note to her saying that I had already left for college.
