16 16. Losses

The officer who had come did not want to open a case as he and Denton were close friends, instead they had opened a case against uncle Reg and Myrah for assault. We had decided to go to the police station personally to get another officer to open a case for us when Stacey had told me not to do that as the officer Steve who had come was willing to testify against us so I must agree to keep my mouth shut and not involve the police.

Wesley, uncle Reg and Myrah disagreed and I went against them accepting her condition which made them really upset and from that day onwards I went to live with the Smith's and Wesley went to live with his girlfriend Melinee.

At the Smith's they had asked me about events leading to what had happened but I told them that I didn't want to talk to about it and uncle Reg nodded in agreement and took everyone out the room encouraging me to have a rest.

The next day I had woken up to a noise which was Stacey getting beaten up by Denton deciding that she very well deserved it I decided to shower thinking I didn't have any clothes or toiletries. I sat up contemplating going next door to fetch my belongings when I had noticed that someone had already left new toiletries and a few sets of clothing set out for me.

I took a long shower trying to wash of the pain off yesterday but I broke out in tears and just stood in the shower. Once I was done I gotten dressed I noticed that it was 14:30pm. I headed downstairs and was greeted by the entire Smith family along with Myrah and Wesley who congratulated me on passing which only made me feel worse since I was not going to college.

I felt as if Eddie seemed to be avoiding me but maybe he just wanted to give me space. Uncle Reg brought me some food and told me that I should eat, I wasnt hungry but decided to eat a few bites unable to finish the meal Eddie assisted me by taking it away and said that we needed to talk.
