When I got home I had called Myrah once again but it had gone straight to voicemail.

I sent her a text and decided it was time to cook supper.

I had removed the necklace that Eddie had given me after reading the words he had gotten engraved onto it I smiled and decided to hide it carefully in my cupboard. I headed downstairs and began making a simple chicken stir fry for supper.

My parents had arrived and I went to greet them unable to contain my excitement I told them all about the offer from NYU that I really wanted to go there to study.

After what seemed like an eternity and everyone looking at each other finally dad had spoken and he had said:

"Milan you cannot and will not go to college right now so do not get any ideas of studying and do not question me as to why because I have had it with your studies you best go upstairs to your room right now and never talk to me about this again.

Being the youngest daughter of this family I have certain expectations from you so just focus on your final examinations for now and we will discuss matters after that but as for now I want you to stop running around with that drop out Edwin and those bratty twin sisters of his."

I had become so infuriated with the fact that he is dragging my friends into this and I could see that no good was going to come out of arguing with him I ran up to my bedroom with the urge to smash something because I could already feel as if my life was going to fall apart piece by piece.
