Do I Really!?

After repeatedly scolding himself not to let it get to him, Tian Zi finally stepped out of his car, exhausted, having stayed there for 30 minutes after he'd arrived. He wasn't aware at all that the person in charge of the cars had become worried as he watched his Master inside his car, pulling his own hair and banging his head on the steering wheel. The worried man had immediately called for the butler who he thought could help. But in the end, the two of them watched him as the Alpha carried out this insane behavior, …until he was done.

Tian Zi was about to pass by the two as if nothing had happened, but the butler didn't wait. He stepped forward to greet the Master of the house, immediately burying the scene he had witnessed earlier to the back of his mind because it had nothing to do with him. Unless, that is, the Young Alpha asked him for assistance, …if he had any problem at all. The only thing he could do was to try and distress him as much as possible. He had only been an official head butler for 5 years now and he was still inexperienced, but Mo Tian Zi was his first Master, so he knew some things—if not a lot—about his Master's mood.

"Welcome back, Young Master. Would you like to have an early dinner tonight?" After politely greeting Tian Zi, he then asked him if he wanted to eat dinner early since it looked like his short trip didn't go well and he might want to end the day early.

"No. I don't have an appetite today, so I'll skip dinner." Tian Zi replied monotonically as they finally stepped inside his house together.

"I understand. What time do you want me to serve dinner for the guest then, Young Master?" The butler asked again, which quickly reminded Tian Zi that starting today, he had a guest that would be staying with him. He was so preoccupied about Fyre's visitor that he'd forgotten that he himself also had a visitor, which was Maverick Sullen.

"Shoot! I forgot about him. Okay... Never mind what I just said, I'll be having dinner with him tonight at the usual time." Tian Zi ordered. He didn't want to force the Omega to tell him but if there was a chance, he wanted to know what had happened with Maverick for his father to do such a thing to him. It also wouldn't be bad to show some hospitality since he was the Master of the house. And it might be short, but Maverick was also his friend and somewhat part of his family. If possible, he also wanted to help him resolve his problem, …since it would be bad if they stayed together for a long time.

"I understand. I will have dinner served at 6 pm. In the meantime, should I serve a light snack for you to enjoy?" The butler offered. It wasn't mentioned before but Tian Zi actually has a sweet tooth and enjoyed baked treats, pastries, and dessert, …despite how he looked. That is also why he usually went to the gym a lot. Because if he didn't, he'd get fat with all the things that he has been eating all this time.

"Hmm, okay." Tian Zi replied, still sounding a little exhausted, to which the butler responded with a brief nod. He was about to go and prepare the snack but since it looked like the Alpha still had something to say, he waited for him to be dismissed.

"How is he? Maverick? Did the doctor come to treat his wounds? What about the findings?"

"Yes, Young Master. Doctor Feng came earlier and treated his wounds. Sir Maverick didn't want to share the information but Doctor Feng said he was most probably strangled hard enough for him to damage his throat. He also found a couple of bruises around his body, so he needs a lot of rest to heal completely. Anyway, I've informed Doctor Feng to keep this a secret from the Old Master and the Mistress in the meantime. As for Sir Maverick, he has been resting since the treatment and will be woken up later for dinner."

"Okay. That's good. You can go now," Tian Zi said, shocked to learn that Maverick had that much damage to his body, but was also relieved that he was going to be okay. Also, it seemed that the Omega wasn't depressed or anything, with what he'd been through. Tian Zi thought that Maverick would be crying or would do some self-harm since he was a little bit on the delicate side, but thankfully this hadn't broken him. He'd just ask him later at dinner if there was something he needed or wanted.

With that in his thought, he walked to the living room. Since Maverick was fine, Tian Zi decided he would distract himself by watching some films because right now, he still wanted so badly to go back to Fyre's place, …and see who his guest was. But he had to refrain himself from doing it, else he would annoy the Omega again. Besides, what would he tell him if he went there? He wouldn't be able to admit that he was uncomfortable with him having another man inside his house—alone!

"He wouldn't just let a man sleep in his house with him, right? It's not like he has another bed to spare for the guest." Tian Zi mumbled to himself, staring at an empty space. His mind was still going wild even though he knew full well that nothing in his mind would happen for real. After all, Fyre never even let him stay at his house for long. 'There's no way he would let another man in his house for too long anyway,' Tian Zi convinced himself, but he knew that this restlessness he was feeling would only disappear once he went to Fyre, now, and confirmed with his own eyes, but then again, …he couldn't.

"I've prepared your snack, Young Master," The butler suddenly said, snapping Tian Zi out of his thoughts. The butler noticed when he massaged his temples as if they were hurting but in fact, he was just pressing on them hard so that the pain he was feeling would distract his mind. And again, he didn't understand why he had to feel this way, towards Fyre. It has been getting a lot worse recently.

"Do you want me to prepare medicine for your headache, Young Master?" The butler asked, starting to get concerned with the Young Alpha since he had never been like this before.

"Say, Flinn... you have a wife, right?" Tian Zi suddenly asked, which instantly took the butler by surprise. He was indeed married, but he didn't understand why his Master was suddenly interested in that.

"Yes, Young Master. Is there anything that is concerning you?"

"Uhmm, h-how did you two end up together?" Tian Zi asked curiously. His expression looked a little too serious which made Flinn even more confused but he answered anyway.

"Both of us are Betas, Young Master, so I guess we went through a normal relationship. I confessed to her after dating her for years and she said yes." Flinn replied. Unlike Alphas and Omega who are mostly drawn by their instinct before the actual affection, Betas are different. But again, he still didn't understand why the Young Master had asked him this.

"What!? You confessed!?" Tian Zi asked surprised, even almost jumping off his chair. Well, it wasn't like he wanted to confess to anyone but just in case, why did he have to be the one to confess!? That was just too embarrassing! And what if the other person rejected him? What would happen then? He didn't think he could take the embarrassment then.

"Yes?" Flinn replied in question, looking at the Alpha as if it was common sense, further shocking Tian Zi. He had never courted anyone before so he didn't know one had to confess. He was already 25 years old yet he couldn't believe he didn't know such simple knowledge. He thought it just naturally happened.

"Then, what about if you get rejected?" Tian Zi asked almost desperately.

"Then I would have to move on and hopefully find someone else that would not reject me. But as you can see, I married her and we're expecting our first child soon... Anyway, why is the Young Master asking? Are you planning to confess to someone? Perhaps Mr. Long?" Flinn asked curiously. There was no one he knew of that was closer to the Young Master than Fyre Long, so close to the point that the two looked like they were lovers when they were actually not. Yes, they fought and bickered a lot, but from a third party's point of view, they pretty much got along. In fact, the Alpha's favorite snacks were foods that were pre-made by Fyre or delivered by him himself. As for the Omega, although he looked like he hated being with the Young Master, he would still visit from time to time to hang out and make something for the Alpha to enjoy. They were such good friends, so if it was not Fyre Long, then he wondered who it was that his Master wanted to confess to.

"What!! No!! I was just asking!" Hearing his butler's question, Tian Zi's eyes widened in shock. His face was almost as if he was seeing something out of this world. 'Does it look like I wanted to confess to Fyre?' Tian Zi thought. He'd never even imagined it. …Confessing to Fyre and becoming lovers with him. There's no way that's what he wanted, right? He still believed his confusing emotions would soon pass. It's not like he wanted to have a relationship! In the first place, he promised that he would never.

"Oh Okay. Then I will go ahead and manage the kitchen for dinner. Please call upon me when you need something else." Flinn said, seeing that the Master was once again lost in his mind, in his own world. Fortunately, the Alpha still managed to dismiss him despite his seemingly floating mind.

Meanwhile, in Tian Zi's mind. 'Do I really look like I wanted to confess? Do I really like Fyre to the point that I wanted to confess? Why is this bothering me so much? And there is also the fact that Fyre has a man at his house right now!! If that bastard does anything to him, I swear I'll ruin his life and he'll regret ever being born in this world.'
