11 (10) Simple Favor

Days passed after that incident, Tian Zi never visited his private estate again afraid the same thing would happen so he just locked himself in his room and was only able to come out now because, his eldest brother's wife, Daniel, was finally discharged from the hospital and they were celebrating his successful recovery with family and friends.

"We're celebrating Daniel's recovery so you better not go missing. I don't care if you'll be on your phone the whole time, just try and be with the crowd where Daniel could see you," Laura whispered to Tian Zi just when they finally stepped out of the car and into her eldest son's mansion because she knew the Young Alpha had a strange habit of suddenly go missing in the middle of a family occasion. Tian Zi had always been a very unsociable and mysterious child growing up but it had gotten worse when he got older.

Meanwhile hearing his mother, Tian Zi only sighed. Honestly, he didn't want to go for the reason that his Eldest Brother's house was just a few blocks from his. And right now, he wanted to avoid unnecessary encounters. Although he did hear from Jonathan that Fyre decided to leave after what had happened, he still can't be sure that the Omega wasn't there because he would still occasionally visit his sister. Tian Zi didn't plan on going there and he didn't want to get any closer either.

It's not that he didn't want to see Fyre Long, just right now, he wasn't ready to face the person he nearly defiled.

"Yeah, yeah. Got it," Tian Zi replied, internally rolling his eyes. If he was to go missing anyway, he was afraid it would make his brother-in-law unhappy which was a recipe for a disaster because Daniel being unhappy would surely lead to his eldest brother retaliating against him who caused it.

"Okay. I trust you," Laura said again and this time, she was clinging to her husband's arm with Tian Zi following them from the back.

"Honey, Xiao Zi is already old enough to know what is right at this kind of celebration. You don't have to remind him every time what he needed to do," Mo Chendong said gently, making Laura nod in agreement but to Tian Zi who listened, he knew his father's words were just another warning for him. His father may not look like it but he was very fond of Daniel and he would do just about anything to make the Omega happy as well. This Mo family is really just a sucker for Omegas, maybe because there had been none so far in the family history until now.

'Now I wonder how they would react if they had an Omega grandchild,' Tian Zi thought and shook his head helplessly.

"Jeez, I'm not going to go missing, okay!?" Tian Zi said impatiently and decided to walk ahead leaving the two by the entrance. As he walked inside the main door to the living room, the first person he saw was his nephew who was the spitting image of his Father, playing by himself on one area on the floor that was baby proofed and had a barricade. And as expected, as soon as the little man noticed his presence, he stared at Tian Zi without an ounce of emotion, not a single shift on his expression just like his father.

"Ahh, Minmin my precious grandson," Tian Zi was still having a staring contest with his nephew when Laura chimed in excitement the moment she saw her grandson. She instantly let go of Mo Chendong and approached the little guy to which actually saved Tian Zi from the staring contest because he wasn't confident he was going to win against a baby especially when he looked like his Eldest Brother so much.

"Ahh, Mother, Father, you're all here," He must have heard his mother-in-law's voice that immediately Daniel walked out of the room that was not too long ago the guest room but now had turned into the couple's second master bedroom. With Daniel's limited movements due to his pregnancy, it was only reasonable for their room to be downstairs where the Omega wouldn't have to climb the stairs every single day which was extremely risky.

"I didn't know you were to arrive early," Daniel said and quickly fixed disheveled clothes approaching them with an awkward smile before Mo Laotian walked out of the room next and followed his wife looking annoyed. Just by looking at him, Laura, Mo Chendong, and Tian Zi figured what the two must have been doing before they arrive especially when Daniel got a little closer because he had pheromones all over his body but of course, they all decided to ignore it because this was all normal for the two.

"We came earlier to help with the preparation, Darling," Laura replied with Luangmin already in her arms.

"Oh, Thank you so much. That would be a great help, I do need some help with the meals we are going to prepare tonight," Daniel said happily, giving his mother and father-in-law a brief greeting hug. He also smiled towards Tian Zi who only nodded and proceeded to find himself a comfortable spot where he can spend the rest of the day sitting.

"Oh? Then let's go talk to the chief, I have a few things in mind," Laura gladly replied since she's always happy to know that there was something she could do for his son-in-law.

"Thank you, Mother," Daniel replied with his usual smile and soon went ahead to do exactly that, leaving Laotian with his son, Father, and Tian Zi.

Time passed by quickly and visitors arrived one by one. Since Tian Zi didn't really care who came or not, he just continued to sit on his chair without talking to anyone. Only one thought in his mind, as long as he didn't go missing, he wouldn't be in trouble. Besides, he was the kind of person who could even take a peaceful nap despite how noisy it is around him so he didn't have much trouble focusing on his own entertainment, which was his phone.

"Uhmm, H-Hi,"

Occupied with his own business, Tian Zi wasn't able to hear the small voice coming from the person who had suddenly approached. He stood on his spot waiting for the Young Alpha to reply but seeing that Mo Tian Zi didn't respond at all, he figured his voice must have been too small to be heard.

"Uhmmm. Hi, d-do you still remember me?" He said again trying to catch Tian Zi's attention. Thankfully he did as Tian Zi finally lifted his head and looked at the timid-looking visitor beside him.

"Hmmm, aren't you that Maverick Sullen? What do you want?" Tian Zi observed Maverick at first and internally groaned knowing that this person too was an Omega. As much as possible he wanted to avoid one but lately, there had been a lot surrounding him.

"Yes, I am Maverick Sullen. Anyway, about what happened several days ago?" Maverick smiled and later looked around when he mentioned what had happened several days ago.

"Yeah? What about it?" Tian Zi replied casually. He didn't really want to remember that day because it was the day when he almost molested someone. It was too ironic because he saved Maverick Sullen from being molested but then later, he was the one who was doing the deed.

"Uhmm, can we talk somewhere private? It's just really important," Looking around the area, even though other visitors seem like they were occupied with their own business, he still wanted to be sure and didn't want to risk anyone knowing his secret. Meanwhile, staring at Maverick, Tian Zi soon decided to agree and stood. He didn't really know what the Omega wanted to talk about but he thought it was probably good to move his body for a while since he had been sitting since afternoon.

"Okay, are you okay in the library?" Tian Zi asked, putting his phone inside his pocket. This wasn't his house but he had been in the house a hundred times to be comfortable enough to walk around as if he lived there.

"Yeah sure, thank you. I just have one simple favor from you and I can't have anyone hearing it," Maverick replied and followed the Alpha. The fact that he was an Omega, he needed to ask Mo Tian Zi to keep it a secret because his father would get mad at him if anyone finds out.

"Hey, I just saved you once but it's amusing for you to think it's okay for you to ask favors," Tian Zi said halting from his walk and told Maverick with a cold tone. He crossed his arms and stared at Maverick fidget before he frowned. They weren't close. In fact, they haven't spoken even once even though they've been seeing each other through family gatherings. He just happened to save him that day but that didn't mean they were friends. His eyes indeed wandered towards him a couple of times out of curiosity before but that was just it.

"I-I'm sorry. I know you don't know me but this is about what had happened that day," Halting from his walk as well. Maverick suddenly panicked. He wasn't really good with talking that's why most of the time he just was silent because when he was silent his real identity wouldn't be so obvious but after what had happened that day, even though Mo Tian Zi didn't seem like a person who would threaten him for his own benefit, he can't be so sure so he gathered all his courage to stand up and approach the Alpha.

"If you're going to thank me then it's fine. It's only natural for me to help when there is someone in need," Tian Zi said, finally this time he sighed seeing the Omega panic.

"Yes, that as well but the thing is..." Maverick looked at Tian Zi in panic but later he dropped his eyes and then looked around. "I-I really can't tell this here," he added. It was obvious from his voice that he didn't know what to do so at the end, Tian Zi sigh again thinking it was such a bother. He may look cold but he didn't like making Omegas cry or purposely make them feel uncomfortable. He wasn't that heartless.

"Okay, I get it," Tian Zi said at the end and he just heard another silent apology from Maverick before he led him again towards the library. When they arrived at the door, Tian Zi didn't hesitate to twist the doorknob open and soon walked inside.

"I don't really want to be alone with an Omega so I'll give you 5 minutes to talk," Tian Zi said talking three steps inside however when a scent similar to mating pheromones attack his nasal, he froze and scanned the room only to find his detective brother-in-law on top of his Older Brother and they're both naked down.

As soon as his brain perceived what was happening, he immediately covered his eyes, his cheeks tinted deep red before turning around.

"Fuck! Jesus Christ! Why can't you people get a proper room!?" He yelled and quickly grabbed Maverick's hand, pulled him outside, and slammed the door close.

"Those freaking animals!" Tian Zi hissed and walked towards a more secluded area still dragging Maverick without knowing that he will very soon once again be tested. And this time, he might not be too lucky.
